You see, I have always been a 'superstitious' person and believe in the paranormal, and what better way than to live in number 13. This may not be scary to some, but it scared me and my siblings.

It was one night when I was around 10-11 years old and I had just had a nightmare, and there were sounds coming from the kitchen. I went into my parents' bedroom and asked if I could sleep with my mum.

She said no and told me to go back to bed. As I went back to bed, I thought I saw a shadow of a cat and a person right behind it. I raced to my bed and tried to get to sleep. A few minutes later, my mum came into my room, lay down beside me and fell asleep. I fell asleep sometime after that.

When I got out of bed the next morning, I saw that all of the photos on one wall were all tilted to the side, going in the same direction, same angle, everything. Later on, I eavesdropped on my mum and dad talking about last night. Mum said that she heard noises last night and had thought that it was cockroaches playing soccer on the lino.
