《Real Life Paranormal Experiences Part 1》What's That In The Sky?

This Paranormal experience takes place during the summer of 2016, but even a year after I still remember this event as if it took place yesterday, nor will I ever forget this.
It was a cold night in New York City.
I live in a pretty common borough; the Bronx.
During this night, the neighborhood was relatively quiet and the time had to be around after midnight, if I'm correct. I'm sitting on my living room couch and most of the family in the apartment is sleeping around this time, however, my mother and father are awake.
Majority of the lights from the apartment are turned off, so the only source of light I really had was from the screen of my laptop which I was on during this time. My father was across the living room, intently looking out one of the windows that happened to be wide open for some air.
I was a little bothered by the fact my dad hadn't said anything since coming to the window and from the couch I asked, "You okay, Dad?"
He started pointing out the window, telling me in Spanish to come to window quickly and basically saying, "What is that?"
I put my laptop down, making sure to shut off the light just in case my father was seeing something outside the window that might draw attention to us. Slowly, I walked over to him and peered out the window.
Immediately, my heart started pounding in my chest. The first thought that registered in my head was one of logic; I thought I was watching a common airplane flying through the sky. But there was a scary second where I noticed intense burning red lights coming from this "airplane". That's when I quickly grabbed my phone and was seriously ready to call the police, because I thought there was an airplane on fire in the Sky. I was afraid it might crash and even hurl towards our way.

I even told my dad what I thought and as soon as I said that, this "airplane" no longer looked like what I originally thought it was.
More lights came from it; a couple green, red and maybe white.
There was no plane (that I knew of) that could project those colors and that's when the final thought set in that maybe, largely possible, I was looking at a real-life UFO.
Now, at that point in my life, I always held close the notion of there being actual aliens in real-life. I just never seen one to solidify this thought until that night.
As my dad and I watched the UFO, I even tried calling my mother over to the window and even mentioned the words "UFO" to her, but of course, she thought me and my dad was crazy and just went back to doing whatever it was she was doing.
Now that I fully acknowledged this was a UFO, it kinda stopped in the middle of the Sky and wasn't moving at all. Like it froze. It was the strangest, yet amazing thing I ever saw in my life and seeing how this flying aircraft moved only affirmed this was in fact, a UFO.
I even tried catching it on camera, but my phone was so incredibly crappy at this time that when I tried recording the UFO and zooming in, the aircraft was completely nonexistent on my phone's camera.
Weird, right?
However, after a couple of seconds, the UFO started moving again but in a very slow manner. And out of nowhere, it started PICKING UP speed and zoomed at an unbelievable rate across the sky into nothing — literally vanished...
