《Real Life Paranormal Experiences Part 1》The Rocking Chair

When I was little, my family and I were stilling living in an apartment in New York. I remembered how obsessed my stepsister was with horror films. However, I was terrified of them (still kind of am). But for some strange reason I alway loved hearing people tell scary stories.
Most of my stepsister's stories focused around ghosts and murderers. There was this one story she came up with that scared me to death. It was about twin boys stumbling upon a haunted house on Halloween. They thought it would be cool to visit the house nobody dared to go in. As they passed the gate that surrounded the house one of the boys heard a noise. He glanced back and saw a woman. The woman kept on repeating the words 'don't go in there'. The boy who was staring at the woman was put into a trance and stopped walking with his brother.
Twin #2 kept on walking down the path that led to the house. When he reached the door he realized he didn't feel his brother's presence anymore. When he turned around he saw that his brother was nowhere to be found. Before he had the chance to see where his brother had ran off to he heard a wolf howling nearby.
The sound scared him and he ran into the house to hide. He hoped his twin had went somewhere safe, wherever he was. The inside of the house wasn't as bad as the rumors said it was. You couldn't even tell no one lived in the house for years. No trace of dust or cobwebs were found anywhere. The curious boy began exploring the house. The first room he went in was a bedroom. The only light in the room was from the static TV.
In front of the TV was a horse rocking chair. It rocked back and forth slowly on its own. On the other side of the room was a fan, which would cut on and off.

This freaked the boy out and he turn around to run into the hallway. He never made it out the room and all you could hear throughout the neighborhood was his screams. The next day, both boys were reported dead. Twin #1's body was found outside of the house torn to shreds. Twin #2's body was nowhere to be found but his blood was splatter everywhere in one of the bedrooms.
Even though my sister made up this story I started to worry. I was so mad she used the fan and horse rocking chair in it because we had both of those things in the room we shared.
I went to bed with a pillow over my head. I woke up in the middle of the night around one or two a.m., because of how hot it was in the room. We had left the TV on but it had no signal, just a static picture. I turned my head to the left where the fan was. It was working for a while before it cut off and then it cut back on. It would cut on and off repeatedly. That's when I heard a creaking noise coming from in front of the TV, where my horse rocking chair was. It was rocking back and forth by itself.
I could have sworn I was going to die that night. As I went to touch my sister on her shoulder, to clarify whether or not I was having a nightmare, my hand only came in contact with the sheets. Then I noticed the door to our bedroom was opened. Though it was dark I felt like someone or something was watching me from in the hallway.
Panicking, I did what any little kid would do in this situation. I hid underneath the cover and closed my eyes until I fell asleep. The next morning, everything was back to normal. Someone had turned off the TV. The fan was unplugged and the horse rocking chair was still.

When I saw my sister I confronted her about her whereabouts that night she told me she fell asleep on the couch. I told her about what happened and she said I was letting the story get to my head. Later on that day we had to get rid of the fan because it stopped working completely. The horse rocking chair had to be thrown away because it was falling apart.
Yet, no one could explain to me why pieces of the rocking chair were in the hallway.
