Yohoooo!! What's up people? :) I kind of forgot to tell you earlier that it's the LAST CHAPTER of You're Still The One. I'm feeling... okay, I don't know what I'm feeling. If I start describing my emotions while I'm posting this chapter, I would have to write a separate novel for that. I'm sure you guys don't want that. :( But hey, wait, there's still an epilogue left. So let's save the tissue papers and read this chapter - LAST chapter. (sobs and smiles - I'm a certified maniac. Makes a funny face.)

And check out this banner of You're Still The One. https://twitter.com/ClaraRicks1/status/613782235922042880

I've made a few others too. They're available on Facebook and Twitter.

Dedicating this chapter to Dear, you want this story to come alive... and I feel like this story is alive. :)

Enjoy everyone...

With her crazily beating heart stuck in her throat Emma flew down the road hell set on removing the distance between her and Brandan.

Every single second seemed similar to a long lonely year as she drove in a maddening speed. If she had the capability to think sanely she would have wondered why she still hadn't got a ticket. But she was past caring about anything, past thinking logically. The cops could run after her like hounds out of hell for all she cared.

After probably what felt like a lifetime, she was running down the airport looking around frantically, searching for him. But where the hell was he!

Emma clutched at her hair, she forced down the urge to get sick and make a mess on the tiled floor.

Panic gripped every cell of her body, nearly numbing her breathing with it's evil fist hammering down at her continuously. But she didn't give it the control to stop her - from reaching him.

The plane would take off soon, very soon and still no sight of him. She bumped into several, pushed a few people who ended up falling down with their luggage but she didn't have the time to slow down, to show decency... forget about apologizing.

As the last announcement echoed around her, it strangely felt like someone whispering a death sentence in her ears. She halted to a stop in the middle of the waiting area. Her hands trembling as she slowly sank into the feeling of despair. How could he do that to her? How could he leave her? Was his love, his patience towards her that weak! Had she hurt him that much, that he had to finally... give up on her!

Brandan was gone. Gone forever, never to return again. What had she done!

Someone bumped her shoulder hard making her stumble, she felt herself loosing balance and falling face first on to the shiny, tiled floor of the airport. Eyes tightly closed she didn't even attempt to prevent herself from falling, because fallen she had, a long time ago. So she mentally welcomed the upcoming pain that would surely come from the fall, but couldn't resist the shriek that came out of her mouth instinctively.

But surprisingly, she never hit the floor. Someone had held her shoulders and was slowly, very leisurely straightening her on her feet.

Emma still had her eyes closed, the unrealized trail of tears making her face wet. Since when she had been crying like this, like a child, she herself didn't know.

"Emma..."

That voice. She gasped and slowly opened her wet eyelids. A sob escaped her lips by the sight of him. She couldn't believe it, he was here - right in front her. He was here.

"Brandan!" She hiccuped while sobbing uncontrollably, her trembling fingers tracing every line, inch and curves of his face. Memorizing, trying to make herself believe of his presence, that he was real and not a hallucination.

And he was looking at her. With amusement!

His hands still had the light grip on her arms. Placing the palm of her one hand on his chest Emma pushed herself back a little, her other hand was still lingering on his jaw while he smirked at her.

The next second he found his face swing sideways by a furious force. She slapped him!

He was shocked beyond limits. One moment she was caressing him like there was no tomorrow and the next moment she was slapping him across the face with that angry look.

"What was that for?" He asked cupping his cheek where she had slapped him as he turned his head back to look at her with absolute shock.

She pushed him away with massive force and glared at him as if trying to burn him alive with the power of her eyes. "That, was for giving up on me."

"Sorry. Come again." He had the audacity to look at her as if she was speaking an unknown language. And that made her even angrier.

Her hands tightened into fists by her sides. "How dare you try to give up on me you idiot! I didn't mean what I said. But..."

He still looked at her funny. Emma was this close to childishly stomp her feet on the ground. "...but how could you just decide to go home - leaving me and our children here you asshole..."

He just lifted one eyebrow while keeping quiet.

She kept on with calling him all the nasty names existing. She was so hyper and angry that she didn't even notice him closing the little distance between them. Only when his hand surrounding her waist before snugly pasting her against his hard body, was when she gasped in surprise. Without giving her a chance to attempt to remove herself from his grip he pressed his lips firmly upon her unexpected ones.

And then he kissed her with reckless abandon, putting a stop at all her angry babbling and leading her thought process towards his flawless seduction which she often feared would make her completely insane someday.

"What... " He smacked his lips again upon hers when she tried to speak something in between his kisses, coaxing her lips - encouraging, demanding, requesting for her to kiss him back. And she did, she let him know all her feelings - said and unsaid ones - through her lips, tongue and mouth.

None of them knew how much time had passed as they let themselves drown into feverish kisses of desire, passion, relief and... love.

When he lifted his head up and looked at her through his half closed eyelids, he felt satisfied by the sight of his Emma. Lips swollen and puffy, gasping for breath and when she opened her eyes she looked at him dazed with her pupils dilated.

"I could give up on my life, Emma but I could never give up on you." He said simply, sincerely.

She listened to him in silence, she could feel her head spinning from that hell of a kiss and at the same time her heart thudded with joy as his words slowly sipped in. She thanked the God that Brandan was still holding her so tightly against him, otherwise she was sure she would have ended up on the floor in a mushy puddle.

"But you were going back home." She found her voice with difficulty and wasn't surprised when it came out raspy - as a low whisper.

With his palms he cupped her face and caressed the strands of hair tucked behind her ears with his thumbs gently. "My home is where my family is, with you and our children. Hell, I love you so much that even my spirit wouldn't be able to leave if I die now..."

That made Emma silent again, she was too busy to control the movements of those huge butterflies in her stomach. There... he said it again. She recalled the last time, with the broken door and a dead mouse, witnesses of his abrupt declaration of his love. And she recalled how she had pushed him away, that had caused not only pain to him... but to her as well.

No more. Emma closed her eyes, no more pushing away the offered hand of happiness and love. No more hiding behind the layers of fear, because she had teared them apart, all at once.

Emma felt his body stiffen a bit, she opened her eyes to look at him step a small inch backwards. What was his problem now? Was he playing games with her? And then her confusion evaporated seeing the nervousness in his eyes. He was scared.

Emma understood that he was scared of her rejection again. Oh... she felt her eyes getting moist at the sight.

It was her this time, who took a step forward and crossed that little distance between them. "You were always the one I loved, Brandan..."

She said in a throaty whisper and felt her chest lightening, as if a burden was lifting, an age old burden, as she could finally speak those words treasured in her heart. "...And you're still... still the one." And her voice choked at the last word.

Never had she seen Brandan grin so big. And never had she seen a man grin so big while trying to soak back that pool of wet emotions gathered in eyes. In a blink, he had her caged in his arms, as he literally swept her off her feet in excitement making her chuckle and cry at the same time.

Then making them jump in shock it seemed like the whole airport broke out in applaud and laughter. They looked around to discover a very happy crowd gathered around them.

Whoaa!! Where did they come from! Or how the hell did the two of them not notice the bunch of audience!

He held her close to his body as he smiled at the crowd while Emma tried to hide her face in his chest blushing furiously, noticing that Brandan laughed. The rumble of his chest as he laughed made her sigh dreamily.

He didn't release her from his embrace as he led her out of the airport smiling. Finally they were together and they rejoiced in the feeling of their union.

"Wait wait wait..." Emma stopped Brandan as he was ushering her inside his car. Brandan looked at her questioningly.

"If you were not leaving then who was? You were in the airport, weren't you?"

"It was Evan honey. Zess... his wife's in labor pain, so he had to head back immediately. I dropped him off to the airport, the guy was tensed out of his bones. I feared he would chop down the security." Brandan replied with a smile and shake of his head.

Emma had a surprised, pleasant smile on her lips. "Evan's married? He's going to be father?"

Brandan cupped her face with both of his hands and smiled at her lovingly. "Do you want to meet him? Look I won't force you, okay... but still."

Emma placed her own hands upon his larger ones on her cheeks as she smiled back at him with equal love, reflecting all those emotions - finally without removing all the veils of fears, insecurities and uncertainties.

"I would love to meet him, Brandan. It's time I face him... and everyone else I left back home."

Placing a sweet kiss on her forehead he removed her hands unwantedly from her skin and opened the car door for her.

"Wait - I still don't understand..." Emma inquired as she stood still again.

"Now what?" Bradan inquired, getting a little impatient.

"Why did then Oliver tell me that you were leaving, going back home?"

For a moment Brandan had his brows scrunched up in confusion then he was biting his lower lip clearly attempting to control the laughter that was trying to erupt from his belly. "He told you that? I wonder why!"

He looked away making a mental note to thank Oliver personally while Emma clenched her fists in anger when everything finally began to sink in her mind.

She growled out at last. "That lying asshole!!"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Back in Emma's house, Oliver and Elli were almost rolling on the carpet clutching their stomachs laughing like a pair of maniacs who had just recently ran away from a mental hospital and smoked a few joints of laughing gas.

"O... Oli... you are brilliant.""I kn... ow su.. sugar."

They managed to speak somehow between guffawing and feeling extremely joyous for the union of their best friends that was surely taking place in the airport.

Love has finally won.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Later that night, Emma was basically hauled at one of the most beautiful, exotic places existing in earth by a very excited Brandan. Hawaii.

Of course, they didn't lie to the kids about where they were going, they just hid the truth. Vacationing, with children attached to their hips, could wait a little. And said kids couldn't know about this impromptu runaway of their parents at Hawaii for the fear of them being throwing a fit and begin a movement against child abuse by dialing the holy number - 911. Those three numbers seemed their favorite numbers of all since the moment they were taught those in school.

And as Emma sat by the beach, her bare feet wiggling on the heavy, wet sand... she found the bliss that settled in her heart unearthly in every sense. She had a sweet smile adoring her face, that seemed like had been plastered there permanently now... except for the times she wasn't moaning out his names when he had made sweet, passionate love to her earlier. And then again, and again... each time expressing his feelings for her in many different heights and depths. She had passed out in pleasure at one point.

Emma chuckled, looking at the deep blue, dark waves shimmering time after time as moonlight descended everytime upon them and through them. She recalled, only hours ago, how that egotistic man of his had smirked down at her as she made her way back to consciousness. Emma wanted to beat him for that teasing smirk but for the love that shone in his eyes had overwhelmed her so much that she did the otherwise and kissed him silly instead.

A faint light was lit in the background making Emma's silhouette to appear on the sand, on the place right between where the waves met their end and Emma's bare feet.

Turning her head back, Emma looked at the small private beach house Brandan had hired for a whole week.

The lights of the bathroom were switched on, she noticed. She had left Brandan sleeping like a log half an hour ago, looked like he was awake now.

"... and probably having a bath." She murmured to herself. Her neck warmed up deliciously as the mental image of Brandan lowering his glorified, hard... and obviously naked body into that jacuzzi bathtub.

A sly smile played on her lips as she raised up to her feet slowly. They hadn't still made good use of that tub till now. But that could wait, she wanted to surprise him and she definitely needed some scented candles and lingerie for that.

With slow steps and hips swaying in unison with the nature's very own, ancient melody of low glowering waves and hissing salty breeze, Emma entered the beach house. Not pausing for a moment, she walked into their bedroom. She watched the side of his bed empty, inhaling his scent from the indent of head on the pillow she lowered herself on the bed.

An elbow propped up, the side of her face rested on her hand she half sat - half laid, tracing her fingertips on the comfortable cotton covers.

Her ears perked up hearing his approaching footsteps. The moment her eyes fell on him, a towel only covering from the waistdown of his sculpted physique, she realized, it was possible to fall in love with the very same person multiple times and then some more. She knew the lust and love that was spilling out of his eyes, were the reflection of her own emotions. Or had they become cheesily one soul with two bodies, like they said in those lame, extra sugary romance books? Or it might be this place that made everything surreal beyond anyone could ever imagine.

"You shouldn't provoke me to ravish you like this, honey." Brandan almost growled as he made his way towards the bed with predatory steps, his gaze caressing all over her.

Resisting the urge to swoon under his gaze, Emma raised a brow. "I did nothing, Brandan."

"Oh, nothing is a hell lot, when it's done by you." Was his quick reply.

Emma was going to retort a witty comeback... but then he removed the towel and let it slid carelessly on the floor. By the sight of him, Emma was as good as dead.

And then he crawled next to her on the bed, with that devious smirk and the warmth radiating off of him, luring and conquering her all at the same time. Rest of the night spent in a dizzy blur after his mouth captured hers aiming to make her fall into pieces and pass out as he loved on her. What he didn't know was that, he was about to fall with her as well into that sweet abyss of no return.

Done!! Doneeee!! :0 Last chapter. Finished?? Gone?? Lara hugs Sarah and Sammy... and breaks into tears. :'(

Sarah sobs into Lara's hair as she sniffs and wipes her running nose. "When we come back?" The little girl asks with great grief.

"Epilogue, baby, you'll be back in the epilogue." Lara says with difficulty. "Don't cry Sammy..." Lara says further as she notices the usually strong boy wiping at his unexpected tears.

"I'm not crying." He protests and then complains refusing to look at Lara.

Biting her bottom lip Lara untangles herself from the kids and blinks away the blur that appeared before her eyes because of the tears. "You'll make a lucky girl very happy one day." Lara says smiling a little. She can see the future and she can see behind that strong exterior rests one damn soft, kind and big heart, just as vulnerable as any of ours. A heart that can love and give... but was tough to win. Just like the eye in the middle of a hurricane.

Lara turns to look at Sarah now who has her head bent down, tears running down her chin as those precious water drops gathers into that cute dimple under her lips. Lara doesn't wipe it away. She knows there will be someone very special coming soon to do the task and do it he would, better than anyone else.

"Just stay strong Sarah. There will be tests in life and there will be that one person to hold your hand during those difficult times."

For the love of God, either of the kids don't understand a thing. But Lara's words do something good, the kids become so confused that they stop crying. They have always thought this Lara girl's a gone case, totally crazy. And maybe she truly is just that while saying these weird things. Or is she? ;)

************

See, I was about to write a author's note but what I wrote instead. :P But what do you think really? About what? Of course about my small talk with the kids. Do you think that was just Lara rambling some nonsense or was she revealing something?

Through the talk I had with Sarah and Sammy I pretty much expressed my feelings about posting the last chapter friends. And know, this is the only way I can truly express my inner most feelings without letting you guys showing my real facial expressions. You know what I mean?

So now, tell me what's you're feeling after reading it all, the chapter and the author's chat with the children.
