《Please Come Back ✔️》Waiting

The next day, she arrived at a stretch of flat, hard, dry ground that was surrounded by mountain ranges. She opened her canteen and poured the last drops of water into her mouth. She tapped the bottom, desperate for every drop she could get. A few drops fell into her mouth, but now the canteen was empty.
She walked for miles but didn't find any water.
Finally by the end of the day she was tired, weak, hungry and thirsty. She sat down too weak to even make a fire. As she looked at the unfamiliar landscape, she realized that she was lost. She took out the communication device and contacted Finn and Poe. "I'm lost, and I don't have any food or water, can you come get me, please?" she asked.
"We can't come now, we made it back to the Resistance with the ships, but we're under attack by the First Order," said Poe.
"I wish I could come help, but unfortunately I'm lost in a desert at the moment," she answered.
"We'll get to you as soon as we can." Finn answered.
"I'll be waiting," she answered with a sigh. Why did it seem that most of her life was spent waiting? Waiting for her parents to come back. Waiting for Luke to train her. Waiting for Ben to come back. And now it had begun again, waiting for her friends to come back for her on Jakku.
She put the communication device away and made a mental note never to come back to Jakku, if she ever got off of it again.
The desert was cold at night, but she was too tired to look for firewood. So she curled up on the ground and closed her eyes. She was cold and shivering, but she quickly fell asleep.

Ben was standing in his room in the finalizer, looking out the window. He had received word that a fleet of First Order ships had found the Resistance. They were on their way to their location now. He wondered if Rey was with them. Just then, he turned to see her laying on the ground, sleeping. A small smile appeared in the corner of his mouth, she looked so peaceful when she was asleep. Then he noticed that she was shivering, so he walked over to her and removed his cloak. He gently draped it over her to keep her warm. She snuggled into the warm cloth and stopped shaking.
Ben looked at her face, it was covered in sand. She was weak, he could sense it. He began to worry about her. She wasn't with the rest of the Resistance, he realized. That was why she felt so alone. Where was she? He looked into her mind to get some idea, but all he saw was the loneliness that filled her. And the hunger. He could see Jakku. But Jakku was a memory that constantly haunted her mind. He wasn't sure if she was really on Jakku, or if it was just her memories that haunted her.
Wherever she was, he sensed that she wasn't safe. He knelt down and gently stroked her head. "You're not alone, sweetheart," he said gently. "I'll watch over you." He came to his feet and stood there watching over her.

Understanding a cultivation world
A modern man armed with having read a few novels about cultivation is suddenly transmigrated to a cultivation world. He fights to both survive and thrive in this new archaic world full of arrogant young masters, demonic sects, and incredibly hostile wildlife. Note: In this story, I wanted to focus a lot more on what most novels skim past in regards to cultivation, namely the whole, spiritual growth aspect that seems to be entirely absent from the prosses of obtaining enlightenment the majority of the time, but the method of gaining cultivation. how it works, and what kind of world would develop around it are all things I wish to explore in this novel.
