《Melissa Shield X Male Reader: Advancements of the Heart》A New Side

Later that night, Melissa is seen walking into her dorm room. He closes the door and tosses her bag to the side, landing perfectly on the chair at her desk. She sat down on her bed and groaned a little before turning her body and slamming her head down onto her pillow. She silently yelled a little and threw her head back up. Melissa sighed and leaned back against the wall within her dorm room and sighed again to herself.
Melissa: (Thinking) Why did I have to snap like that? He was just expressing a project he liked so much.
Melissa sighed and stood up. She walked over to the window and looked out across the night sky. She leaned against her wall and looked out some more.
Melissa: (Thinking) But still...you were right. Right? I mean, who would ever want to get rid of a quirk at all? That is pure villainy and...oh.
Melissa formed a fist and pouted a little and walked back to her bed and sat down sternly.
Melissa: (Thinking) But I can see the point! The argument makes sense! But remember you're...ARGH!
She threw herself down onto her pillow again. Once again, she silently screamed. She hated being wrong. She hated being outsmarted. But the logic was there. It made sense in her brain. But she didn't want to be. She wanted a quirk so badly. She wants people to value what type of quirks they had. She turned around on her bed and looked up at her ceiling. Some levels of anger were still inside her, but still...
Melissa got up and walked over to her desk and pulled out some prints and a bag from her own backpack. She looked it over and saw it was some designs for a more slim gauntlet the two of you were working on all day. She softly placed a hand on it and looked over the plans. She looked over to her case in the corner of the room and saw the finished version of the Full Gauntlet.
She walks over to the case and opens it up. Melissa takes out the gauntlet and places it on her arm. She looks it over and drops her eyebrows slightly, sadness on her face. She sighed again and leaned back in her seat. He rubbed her head and looked at the gauntlet and the plans. She grabs her phone and looks at your contact.

Melissa trembles a little as she looks at it. She had no idea what to do here. She had no idea if she should contact you or just suffer through it. Confusion just wrapped around her brain. Melissa placed the phone down and placed her head down on the desk. She pushed back against her desk and spun a little in her chair. Melissa sighed again as she tried to piece together what needed to be done. After a couple more minutes, she had made a decision. She grabbed her phone and called someone.
Melissa: Hey, Mom. I need some help.
_________________________________________
The following day, you walked into the lab and dropped your bag. You yawned a little and sat down at your adopted desk and began to get some work done. Physics was slowly getting easier for you, as was robotics. The seminar was still boring as hell but rocketry was pretty fun then.
You yawned and looked at your table. Once you did, you saw a daisy sitting on your table with a Lilly. You were somewhat confused but rolled with it. You then saw a little slip of paper on the desk as well. However, you brushed it to the side and continued to work on some homework for Physics. As you were working, you heard some footsteps behind you and saw a step ladder being placed beside you as Adrian appeared.
He leaned up against the desk and looked at you up and down.
(Y/N): Yes?
Adrian: Well? How did you sleep?
(Y/N): Fine. Took a while to actually get to sleep but otherwise, it was alright.
Adrian: Good, good.
(Y/N): So...what's the deeper subtext here?
Adrian: The subtext being we need to talk about you and Melissa.
(Y/N): I thought we talked about this last night. Yes, she's quirkless and I should not have been a jerk to her! I get it. Can you get off my back about this?
Adrian: It's been less than 15 hours...so no. And you need to start clearing your head.
(Y/N): Meaning?
Adrian: Buddy. She loves you. You love her. Shut the hell up, clear your head, openly apologize to her and clear up this whole debacle and we're good!
(Y/N): You didn't think I wanted to do this already?!
Adrian: Just making sure. I take it that's why there are flowers.

(Y/N): UH, no. These were here when I got here.
Adrian: Weird. Oh well, do with it as you will.
Adrian stepped down and walked back to his own desk. You sighed and continued to do some work for Hall. However, as you were working, you saw the little slip of paper sitting on your desk again. There was some bit of writing on it, but not enough to distract you at the current moment in time. Still, curiosity was rising inside you. So, reluctantly, you reached over and grabbed it to see what it was inside.
Upon opening the paper and reading it, you were taken aback suddenly. It was from Melissa. Her handwriting and all. You read it over again and again as the message hit you. You looked back down at your work and then outside the window to oversee some of the island. You got up and ran out of the lab to where Melissa had told you to meet up. Adrian looked at you as you ran off. He cocked an eyebrow as he saw you ran. He shrugged and went back to his own work.
You found Melissa at the docks of I-Island. The docks were relatively unused, so it was a prime spot just to talk one on one. You were scared to say the slightest. You didn't know what was going to happen here. You had no idea if she was going to murder you, tell you off or what? But the flowers on your desk were a bit of a welcoming sign. You reached the docks and looked around and finally found her. She gazed out across the sea as you slowly walked down onto the dock she was on.
Melissa turned around and saw you. You walked up to her and gave her a bit of a small smile. She smiled back at you as you both came up and looked out across the sea again.
(Y/N): So...why here?
Melissa: Privacy.
(Y/N): Fair point. So...
Melissa: Yeah.
(Y/N): Look, I'm sorry. I know how much quirks mean to you. But you need to understand that seeing so much at once will hurt you and-
Melissa: I know. I understand it.
(Y/N): Melissa.
Melissa: I just have a hard time fully understanding the human mind. How some could hate their own quirks are just a little odd to me. But, if you want to go through with it, then I guess there's not much I can do.
(Y/N): Of course, there is.
Melissa: I'm not going to control your life!
(Y/N): Never said you would.
Melissa: Then what do you mean?
(Y/N): You're a genius. You figure it out.
You looked back out across the sea. Melissa joined you and looked out as well. You two just stood in silence as Melissa slowly realized what you were saying.
Melissa: So...you just wanted my input.
(Y/N): There's my end. So, why did you want me down here? You clearly don't want me to apologize to you. I don't want you to apologize to me.
Melissa: Impasse then.
(Y/N): It would seem so. So, I ask again, why did you call me down here? It wasn't for an apology. And we can't get much work done out here.
As the above was spoken by you, you took a step a little bit closer to Melissa after every sentence. Once you were standing right next to her, you both kept looking out across the sea. Neither of you found room to move or to even speak truly.
The air was becoming more and more awkward. You needed to act here and now. You turned to Melissa and looked at her. Neither of you could really move. You blushed heavily, as did Melissa. You both then quickly looked away from one another and back to the sea. You want to hug her, kiss her, do something. And Melissa wanted the same. However, you couldn't bring yourself to do anything. You took a deep breath and turned back to Melissa.
(Y/N): We should properly get going. We do have some work to be done.
Melissa: Right.
You began to walk off.
Melissa: (Y/N)?
(Y/N): Yeah?
You turned back to her. Melissa walked up and pecked you on the cheek. As your face turned red and she leaned back, you grabbed her shoulders and kissed her on the lips.
