1943
Cassandra sat in the passenger seat of the car, while Peggy and none other than Steve Rogers, or as Cassandra referred to him as, "Flagpole Boy" sat in the back. The two were talking quietly, and Cassandra was looking ahead, trying not to get carsick.
"Here we are." Peggy said, getting out once the car stopped.
"What are doing here?" Steve asked.
"You'll see."
Steve trailed behind the two women, evidently confused. A chime rang when they walked in the door, and the elderly woman at the counter gave each of them a smile.
"Wonderful weather this morning isn't it?" The woman asked.
"Yes," Peggy smiled. "But I always carry an umbrella."
Cassandra and Peggy entered into a lab, officers and scientists walking around, all looking very important. Cassandra opened the door for Peggy and Steve, even though Steve insisted on holding it. They walked down a set of metal stairs to Doctor Erskine, a few nurses, scientists, and someone who looked to be Howard Stark.
Erskine explained a few things to Steve, then turned his attention to Cassandra and Peggy.
"Agent Carter, Agent Hawthorne, don't you think you'd be more comfortable up in the booth?" He asked politely.
"Oh yes, sorry," Cassandra said for the two of them.
Cassandra almost had to pull Peggy up the stairs, because she kept stopping to look down at Steve. Cassandra sat Peggy down in a chair, even though she said she wanted to stand. Cassandra got annoyed at Peggy's trying to get up, so she shook her head, and let the woman stand.
Everyone was engaged in quiet chatter, Cassandra was talking to Peggy. She noticed a slightly familiar face, and cocked her head. She left Peggy to stand by herself for a little bit, walking over to the man with glasses.

"Fred Clemson, State Depart-" he stopped when Cassandra pushed him back, clamping a hand over his mouth.
"Что ты здесь делаешь?" Cassandra hissed, not wanting to draw attention.
"You were failing Agent. Schmidt sent me to get Erskine and the serum."
Cassandra was about to speak again, but a high pitched squealing noise forced her to cover her ears. She scowled and quickly stood next to Peggy.
"Do you hear me? Is this on?" Doctor Erskine asked. "Ladies and gentlemen, today we take not another step towards annihilation, but the first step on the path to peace. We begin with a series of micro injections into the subjects major muscle groups. The serum infusion will cause immediate cellular change. And then to stimulate growth, the subject will be saturated with Vita-Rays." He explained.
Cassandra tuned out the rest of the explanation, but she heard screaming coming from the box Steve was in, her and Peggy stood up and ran out of the room.
"Shut it down!" Peggy yelled.
Cassandra ran halfway down the stairs before she heard Steve scremaing,
"No! No wait I can do it!"
She looked back at her friend, her heart slowing to its normal pace when Peggy breathed a sigh of relief. Cassandra and Peggy stood next to eachother on the stairs.
"Eighty percent." Howard Stark informed.
"Ninety percent."
"We're now at one hundred percent!" He shouted.
The blinding light went down and Cassandra followed quickly after Peggy who ran down the metal steps. The box Steve was in opened, and Cassandra couldn't help but gawk. He was strong. Muscled. Tall. Yep, those were all words. All words that wouldn't usually describe Steven Grant Rogers. Not words that would describe Flagpole Boy. At least not the one that she knew.

She stood next to Peggy, trying to keep her eyes up. She hadn't ever felt this, flustered before. She had grown up around primarily only women and girls. The first man she had ever interacted with enough to remember besides James, was Dr. Schmidt. This wasn't supposed to happen. She wasn't supposed to have butterflies in her stomach. She wasn't supposed to blush. At least not around a man. Women were a whole different topic.
Cassandra saved herself from embarrassment by turning away, giving "Fred Clemson" a dirty look. He gave her a smirk and the glass booth exploded. She turned her back, hovering over Peggy. Peggy ducked out from under her, firing a gun at the undercover Hydra agent, hitting him in the arm. But not before he had the chance to kill Doctor Erskine. Cassandra jumped over the crowd, chasing after her colleague.
He shot at her but she easily dodged, firing at him, the bullet brushing past his head, carving a mark in his hair. Peggy caught up to her, and the two ran out of the antique shop, past the dead elderly lady, and the homeless on the streets. Peggy and Cassandra stood aimed at the car Clemson had sped away in, but the car behind them exploded. Peggy aimed again, Cassandra as well, but both women were shoved out of the way. Cassandra winced as the rocky pavement hit her side, but Peggy's arm broke her fall.
"What are you doing we had him!" Peggy screamed.
"Sorry!" Steve apologized, runnig after the car.
Cassandra helped Peggy stand up, and she brushed herself off.
"Jeez Peg are you alright?" Cassandra asked.
"Yeah I'm fine," the woman said rolling her shoulder.
"We should go see if everyone's alright."
"Agreed."

The branch of humanity on earth was merely part of an old, thought to be extinct bloodline. The Warden had sought to use this bloodline for his own purposes as part of the Great Game, a fully immersive virtual reality world that was created by an unknown entity billions of years in the past. The Great Game was now populated by players from millions of different civilisations across countless galaxies. Braizo is forced into the Great Game by an old enemy in an attempt to kill him, but instead of dying Braizo receives a special ability that is both a curse and a blessing. So begins his adventures in the Great Game.
