The Battle of Sokovia
- - - - -
"Alright, listen up," Steve said, beckoning everyone's attention in the quinjet, "Ultron knows we're coming. Odds are we'll be riding into heavy fire, and that's what we signed up for." He said, glancing at his teammates. He turned to Pietro and Wanda. "But the people of Sokovia, they didn't."
Pietro looked up at Steve, nodding slightly. Ana patted his shoulder and gave him a small smile when he turned to her, handing him an earpiece. He put it in his ear and watched Ana as she gave one to his sister. He appreciated her kindness towards them and hoped to return the favor someday.
"So our priority is getting them out. All they want is to live their lives in peace, and that's not going to happen today. But we can do our best to protect them. And we can get the job done, and find out what Ultron's been building. We find Romanoff, and we clear the field. Keep the fight between us. Ultron thinks we're monsters and we're what's wrong with the world. This isn't just about beating him. It's about whether he's right."

"Get off the bridge!" Wanda warned, glancing behind her at Clint and Ana as they started to fight the robots off.
"Hurry!" Ana said as glanced behind her worriedly when she heard the sound of robots zooming in closer toward them. She stood in the alleyway, protecting the people as they quickly headed toward the exit of town.
Suddenly, a robot had managed to get close to Wanda, but she turned around and quickly used her powers against him, forcing him to stay away, trying to block the robot's energy beams. "Run!" Wanda said, as more energy beams hit her. She fell on the ground when she couldn't hold her forcefield any longer.
Ana used her dagger to take it down, hitting it between the eyes. She ran to Wanda and helped her up, "I got you."
"Thank you." Wanda whispered.
"Come on, let's get these people safe and away from the fight." Ana told her, giving her a small encouraging smile.
"Okay." Wanda said as Ana guided her towards the people. Ana saw another family rush out from underneath a robot that was coming after them and she shot her daggers at the robot, making it explode. She ran over to the family and helped them along to the rest of the crowd trying to get out.
All of a sudden the grounds shook. Ana slipped, landing on her side. Sokovia, and the mountains that were around the city started to shake like an earthquake. Dust and dirt flew up in a cloud that surrounded the city. Ana scrambled to her feet, watching in horror as everything crumbled.
"Friday." Tony said, slightly worried.
"Sokovia's going for a ride." Friday responded quietly.
Buildings crashed and fell to the ground. Ana looked up and saw that a building was about to fall onto a small group of people. She ran at them and just in time, pushed them out of the way. Her foot got caught under the debris as pain sparked up her leg. She cried out, ducking her head to her chest. She waved her hand frantically for the people to leave her when they started to aid her.
"No, go! Go!"
An old woman held her hand as the men took the large cement rocks off her foot. Ana looked at them, her heart swelling at the kindness. They pulled her up, letting her lean on them for support. She looked at them all, "Thank you." She whispered.

They all gave her a smile and Ana ducked her head when she heard the robots coming for them. She gave them an urgent push away, "Run, now!" She cried. The group all gasped when the robots found them. Ana pulled out her daggers and hit them to explosion. Ana pushed the people away from her, telling them to get to safety.
Another robot flew above her, "Do you see? The beauty of it, the inevitability. You rise, only to fall. You, Avengers, you are my meteor, my swift and terrible sword and the earth will crack with the weight of your failure. Purge me from your computers, turn my own flesh against me. It means nothing. When the dust settles, the only thing living in this world will be metal." She heard Ultron say. She leaned on the debris behind her and glared at the robot before throwing a dagger at it's eye. She watched as it fell in front of her and for good measure she threw her fist at it's head, punching it off.
"Cap, you got incoming." Tony called from the comms.
"Incoming already came in. Stark, you worry about bringing the city back down safely. The rest of us have one job: tear these things apart. You get hurt, hurt 'em back. You get killed, walk it off." Steve said.
Ana clicked her ear comm, "Excellent motivation talk, Steve."
"Thank you."

Ana had found Clint who was taking down a bunch of robots with his arrows. She grew worried when Wanda wasn't with him, but then doors opened and she stood back and watched Scarlet Witch fight.
She took her hands and used her powers, throwing her red flares at the robots beside her. She broke them apart and walked out into the firefight. Clint looked over at her and smiled when the robots tore apart and she was able to control her powers as she released more red energy within her hands. She created an energy ball and Ana smirked when she finished off the remaining robots, tearing them apart.
"Well, that was amazing." Ana spoke up, carefully walking over to her. Her foot was still messed up from the building falling on it but she could still walk. And if she could still walk, she could most definitely fight.
"Alright, we're all clear here." Ana informed Steve.
"We are not clear," Steve said, "We are very not clear!" Steve grunted as he used his strength to smash the robot back down.
"Alright, coming to you." Clint agreed.
Wanda and Ana were about to leave the alleyway with Clint, but were suddenly stopped when Pietro zoomed right passed Ana. She frowned and brought a hand up to her cheek when she felt pressure on it.
Pietro picked up his sister in his arms and gave Ana a wink. She shook her head at him with a smile. "Keep up, old man!" He teased Clint, and zoomed off.
"He's so adorable." Ana grinned after Pietro. Clint glared at her. "Nobody would know," Clint said, taking out an arrow and sliding it against his bow aiming towards Pietro, "Nobody."
Ana grunted at him and picked up a few of his arrows that didn't look to damaged. Clint looked at her and grumbled, making his way toward where the rest of the group was, "The last I saw him, when Ultron was sitting on him. Uh...yeah, he'll be missed, that quick little bastard. I miss him already." He mumbled.

Ana placed the arrows in his pack, patting his back, "Come on old man. We got a job to do." She said, smirking when he hit her across the shoulder.
"I'm not old!"

"The next wave's gonna hit any minute. What have you got, Stark?" Steve said, informing the remaining members of the team.
The city was very high. Ana was worried the air will start to thin and the people won't be able to breathe. She was outside a building filled with people. They didn't know how to get them to safety now that the city was too high up.
"Well, nothing great. Maybe a way to blow up the city. That'll keep it from impacting the surface if you guys can get clear." Tony said.
Ana looked over at Wanda who brought in more civilians with her to their side of the building. "I asked for a solution, not an escape plan." Steve said.
"Impact radius is getting bigger every second. We're going to have to make a choice." Tony explained.
"Cap, these people are going nowhere. If Stark finds a way to blow this rock..." Natasha said, joining him.
"Not 'til everyone's safe." Steve said.
"Everyone up here versus everyone down there? There's no math there." Natasha said, furrowing her brows at Steve. Ana joined them, carefully observing their surroundings.
"I'm not leaving this rock with one civilian on it." Steve said.
"I didn't say we should leave." Steve turns to look at her, "There's worse ways to go. Where else am I gonna get a view like this?" She asked, smiling lightly as she stared up at the clouds that surrounded the city.
"Glad you like the view, Romanoff." Fury's voice echoed in everyone's earpieces, "It's about to get better."
Ana's mouth dropped slightly in shock as she saw the Helicarrier rise up from the clouds and over the city. Pietro quickly rushed over to Ana's side, looking up at the aircraft in awe. Pietro couldn't help but smile.
"Nice, right? I pulled her out of mothballs with a couple of old friends. She's dusty, but she'll do." Fury said inside the main bridge.
"Fury, you son of a bitch." Steve said, smirking. Ana looked at him in false shock.
"Oooh! You kiss your mother with that mouth?"
"This is SHIELD?" Pietro asked Ana.
"This is what SHIELD's supposed to be." Ana said, as Steve and Natasha looked over at Pietro with a small smile on their face.
"This is not so bad." Pietro said.
"Let's load 'em up." Steve ordered. Natasha, Ana and Pietro got to work on piling up their lifeboat that landed to the edge of the city. The Avengers were grateful to Nick Fury, he helped them save a whole lot of lives.

"Avengers, time to work for a living."
Tony joined the group in the Church. Vision attacked his robot, tossing him over to the side, while Pietro zoomed in quickly, charging his way through a couple more robots in the middle of the church before they could get to the drill in the middle. Thor fought his own robot, tearing it to shreds, and Tony threw two thrusters at his own robot.
Ana had ran out of weapons and resulted in using her fists. She chose on ripping the power sources out of the robots coming on to her, seeing that it effectively shut them down.
Pietro zoomed to join his sister. "You good?" Pietro asked, clamping a hand around hers.
Wanda smiled at him, and nodded, "Yeah."
"Romanoff? You and Banner better not be playing hide the zucchini." Tony warned.
"Relax, shell-head," Natasha said, "Not all of us can fly."
She hit the remaining robot on the ground, quickly climbed out of the truck and ran toward the entrance of the church to join her team. "What's the drill?" She asked, sliding up beside Tony.
The Avengers stood in a circle, protecting the core. "This is the drill," Tony said to Natasha, "If Ultron get's his hands on the core, we loose."
Vision looked at it and frowned slightly. He didn't want that to happen. A moment later, the Hulk jumped down, crashing on more robots that were heading toward the church. Ana stepped away from the Hulk as he growled next to her. The green guy looked at her and she waved slightly with a wry smile.
Ultron lowered himself in the middle of the sky, as Steve, Ana, Wanda, Pietro, Clint, Tony, Vision, Natasha, and Thor all turned to face him.
"Is that the best you can do?!" Thor challenged, opening his arms.
Ultron flew forward slightly, and lifted a hand signal for the rest of his remaining robots that were crawling in and out from the city ruins over the debris to join his side. Ana tried to count them all, but there was way too many. Pietro and Wanda looked to her, eyes worried and scared. She stepped next to them and placed a hand on their shoulders, giving them a nod.
"You had to ask." Steve said, glancing at Thor.
"This is the best I can do," Ultron said, holding his arms out, "This is exactly what I wanted, all of you, against all of me. How can you possibly hope to stop me?"
"Well," Tony sighed, glancing at his team. "Like the old man said," Tony said. Steve turned to face him.
"Together."
The Hulk let out a roar that shook the city, just as more and more robots came forward, and crawled over on top of the church to get inside and fight the Avengers. Ana did one simple gesture, she lifted her hand and flexed her fingers at Ultron,
"What are you waiting for? Come and get us!"
- - -
Ana stood next to Wanda and Clint, kicking and ripping apart any robot in her sight. It's like they never ended, one robot after the other. She was constantly putting everything she had, making sure none of them get to the drill right behind her. Her heart was beating like crazy, scared if she'd make one mistake that would end all of humanity.
Pietro was using his speed, charging at the robots that kept on coming to lessen the amount for his team to fight. Wanda used her red flares to rip apart the robots, throwing one energy ball right after the other, while Steve used his shield to deflect the robots back and onto the ground, kicking them down hard.
Vision used his intangibly to rip the robots apart from the inside. He flew upward while Thor hit his robot with his hammer, and grabbed a robot in his hands and tore it apart.
Clint was firing arrow after arrow in every direction, not missing a single robot. Natasha shoved her electric batons into one of her own robots and jammed her second one into the one that came at her from the other side.
Steve jumped up and twirled around in the air as Vision flew across him, and threw the robot down on the ground. Clint fired an exploding arrow at his robot, while Wanda's red flares curled up and around a robot that broke to pieces. Thor was above his fellow Avengers, hitting the robots that tried to come at them with his hammer, and used the lightning fry them. Pietro zoomed around the room, his blue hue behind him as he broke the robots apart with his hands super speed.
Tony flew over Wanda and shot one robot down, Ana threw the robots hard into the wall, Pietro threw a punch down at another robot. Clint shoved his arrow through the robot's neck, the Hulk grabbed a robot at put it in his mouth, bitting its head off. Ana worked with Wanda, kicking the robots away from them and she used her red flares to break them.

Becoming something he is taught to hate he leaves the church as he decides to fuck it, I may as well open the gates of hell and have some fun on the way. The MC's metal development in unique due to specified circumstances so he will rarely act like an 8-year-old, and he is slightly sociopathic. This is my first ever story so criticism would be great. I also have heavy dyslexia along with some other metal 'uniqueness' so this whole story is a big F you to it but I am sorry for any and all inevitable mistakes. (I don't own the cover photo.
