"So, I'm supposed to get the Maximoff's out of harms way?"
Ana was tying her laces, her foot propped up on the seat as Steve gave her orders. He nodded at her and handed her the fingerless gloves, "They can't be in the fire fight. And whatever's in that cradle, it could level the city. I go for Ultron and draw him out and Natasha goes for the cradle while Clint stays in the air."
Ana nodded at him as the quinjet ramp lowered for her to jump out of. She turned to Clint and Natasha and they gave her a thumbs up. She smiled slightly and nodded, "Okay. I'll radio in as soon as I find them." She said.
Steve smiled and handed her a mask. She took it and placed it over her eyes, widening them when her vision spiked.
"Tony thought these would be useful in finding the twins. How are they?" Natasha asked as she clicked a few buttons above her.
Ana put a hand in front of her face, "They're awesome." She looked at Steve and saw that the mask read his face as Steve Rogers.
"Just don't break them." Clint spoke up. Ana just rolled her eyes and waved her hand in dismissal.
They watched her jump out of the quinjet. Ana landed on the rooftop of a tower and used the mask Tony made for her. It could enhance her sight so she was able to look at the faces on the ground. The technology assessed each face and kept on crossing them out in red when they couldn't recognise them as Wanda and Pietro Maximoff.
Ana moved on each rooftop and kept looking for them. She was getting anxious when she couldn't find them. Just when she was going to take them off, they beeped and turned blue in confirmation. Pietro was holding Wanda before speeding off to a train.
Ana smiled in victory and followed them. She jumped up off the small building and landed on the moving train. She used one hand to hold herself up and used the other to take the mask off, tucking it into her belt. She frowned when she could hear Steve and Ultron fight.
"Please. Don't do this." Ultron said just as Ana busted through the open cart door, landing next to the silver robot. She paled and ducked when he went to grab her. Pietro zoomed at her and brought her next to Steve, away from Ultron.
"What choice do we have?" Wanda asked, glaring at him.
Ana looked up at Pietro and nodded her head in thanks. Ultron glowered at them, he flew out of the speeding train seeing he was outnumbered.
"Nat! Cap, Ana, you see Nat?" Clint asked from the comms.
Ana clicked hers, "What happened?"
"If you have the package, get it to Stark! Go!" Steve said.
"Do you have eyes on Nat?" Clint asked once more.
"Go!" Steve yelled as he went to the front of the train, seeing the driver dead with his head on the fried controls.
Steve turned to face Wanda and Pietro, "Civilians in our path." He said. Pietro was quick to run out the train, removing everyone away from danger.
"Can you stop this thing?" Steve asked Wanda.
Wanda watched Pietro pick up a civilian or two from the pathway of danger. With all of her energy, she used her powers and shot out the red flares that encircled the train wheels. When Ana noticed her struggle she didn't think twice before running at the front of the train and jumping in front of it. Her feet were scraping against the ground as she used her strength to slow it down for Wanda.

She yelled, pushing herself more. She could hear Steve call for her but she stayed where she was. The train was slowing to a stop with the help of Wanda and Ana. When it came to a complete stop, Ana lost her balance and fell back.
She landed on the ground with a groan, "Add that to my résumé." She murmured. She stayed still, feeling tired.
Pietro stopped next to her and smiled brightly. She just looked up at him as Steve and Wanda approached them. "Hey Quicksilver, mind if I call you that? I mean, your hair is silver and you're really quick. I still haven't thought of one for your sister." She rambled, lifting her head to get up but let it down again when her limbs ached. "I think I'll stay here."
Pietro chuckled out of breath, crouching down to her, "Quicksilver. I like it."
Wanda stepped next to her brother, "Are you okay?" She asked.
"I'm fine. I just need a minute," Pietro said out of breath, waving his hand.
"I'm very tempted not to give you one." Steve said.
Pietro looked up at Steve as he went to get Ana up but she stopped him. "No, I just need to lie down." She breathed out. She stretched her arms first and sighed.
"The cradle, did you get it?" Wanda asked Steve.
"Stark will take care of it," Steve said.
Wanda shook her head. "No, he won't." Ana glanced over at her worried look and frowned.
"You don't know what you're talking about, Stark's not crazy." Steve told her.
"He will do anything to make things right." Wanda said.
Steve looked at her for a second before taking a step back and pressing a finger to his earpiece, "Stark, come in. Stark." He said, "Anyone on comms?" Steve asked a little more firmly.
Nothing.
Steve lowered his head down as Ana sat up with her legs stretched out. She used her hands to hold herself up as she looked at her ruined combat boots. She looked up at Wanda as she spoke up.
"Ultron can't tell the difference between saving the world and destroying it." Wanda explained. "Where do you think he gets that?"
Steve sighed before nodding at Ana, "I'll get us a car, there should be transport at the U-Gin Genetic Research Lab. Be right back." He said before walking off. Ana watched him leave with sad eyes.
Pietro reached for Ana and helped her up, moving her to a small crate to sit on. Ana looked up at the twins and smiled, "You two the good guys now? I knew it." She whispered, leaning her head on the wall of the building.
Wanda smiled warmly at her and bent down, "I'm sorry for what I did last time, I didn't know it would-"
Ana stopped her, "Don't worry. I should be thanking you."
Pietro and Wanda shared a look.
"Thank her for hurting you? Did stopping a train mess your head?" Pietro questioned, using his finger to point at his head.
Ana pursed her lips, "Well, it did hurt but it also returned what I lost. My memories. A long story, maybe some day I'll tell you about it." She shrugged.
Wanda gave her an awkward smile, "Uh, you're welcome."
Pietro tapped his sister's shoulder, getting her to look at him. He pointed at Ana, "She gave me a name. You, sister, will now call me Quicksilver." He boasted, grinning. He then began pose heroically.

Wanda gave him a look, "No I won't." She replied. Ana smiled at them.
Wanda turned to her, "Why did you do that? Now he won't stop talking about it." She said.
Ana shrugged, laughing as Pietro started zipping around. "I think it's cute." She turned to the brunette, "Don't worry, I'll give you a name as soon as I think of one." She smirked.
"What do you think of the Red Flare?"
"That's horrible."
"Yeah, you're right."

"I'm gonna say this once." Steve said, stepping onto the platform. He glanced between Tony and Bruce.
"How about nonce?" Tony challenged, glancing up from his keyboard.
"Shut it down." Steve ordered.
Bruce looked up slowly from his work when he noticed Pietro, Wanda, and Ana had come forward. "Nope, not gonna happen." Tony said, walking away to his second set of machines and computers that were attached to the cradle.
"You don't know what you're doing." Steve said.
"And you do? She's not in your head?" Bruce said, pointing to Wanda. Ana placed a hand on Wanda's shoulder when she nervously stepped away from Bruce.
"I know you're angry." Wanda said, wanting to reason with him.
"Oh," Bruce said with a slight scoff. "We're way past that. I could choke the life out of you and never change a shade."
"No one turns green. Especially when they have no reason to." Ana said slowly. She stepped in front of the twins protectively.
"Banner, after everything that's happened..." Steve tried again but Tony interrupted him.
"That's nothing compared to what's coming!" Tony said, gritting his teeth together. Tony had a worried look on his face and he knew something was coming to destroy them, this may be their only chance to save lives.
"You don't know what's in there!" Wanda said strongly.
"This isn't a game." Tony argued.
"The creature..."
Pietro rolled his eyes knowing they won't listen to his sister and sped around them fast, disassembling the cradle from the wired connections. He was beside Bruce with a huge cord in his hand. Everything shut down around the room, and it grew quiet save for the sound of a beeping warning tone coming from the computers as the program died down.
"No, no. Go on. You were saying?" Pietro asked as he looked at Tony who turned to face him.
Suddenly a gunshot sounded and Pietro fell from the glass breaking underneath him. "Pietro!" Wanda cried in alarm as he fell.
Inside the cradle, a red hand jerked, but nothing else moved. Tony turned around quickly in panic, "I'm rerouting the upload." He said.
Steve tossed his shield across the room that bounced off the cradle and hit over to Tony's machines and rammed into the machine over by Bruce. Sparks flew above Bruce and he ducked, covering his head. Wanda ducked as the sparks flew across the room.
Tony called for his Iron Man glove and shot at Steve. Ana stepped in the middle of them with a pissed look on her face, "Don't!" She yelled.
Bruce suddenly came up from behind Wanda when Ana left her side, pulling her back before she could do anything about it. "Go ahead, piss me off." He whispered in her ear.
Steve glared at Tony as his upper body suit came to him and wrapped around his back and shoulders. Wanda elbowed Bruce in the stomach and he released her. She whirled around and shot her red energy to get him off of her.
Ana looked up when she heard Bruce's growl. She quickly went to aid Wanda when something hit her. She looked up with a groan, seeing Tony shake her head at her to stay down.
Thor suddenly appeared and jumped onto the cradle. He raised his hammer and called to his lightening. "Wait!" Bruce tried to stop Thor, but it was too late. Ana used her body to shield Wanda from the lightening sparks.
Thor lowered his hammer onto the cradle as the lightning surged through it, giving power to the lifeless body inside. Silence filled the room until the cradle burst open, and pieces of metal and glass flew around the room. Everyone ducked for cover as the man jumped to life, landing on his feet and hands.
Thor looked up from the ground and pulled himself up onto his feet. Tony looked over at the new creation from his side of the room, unsure of what to do. Ana looked at the man as he stood up on his feet like he was testing himself. He glanced around the room before his eyes landed on Thor, and that's when he attacked.
He flew over to Thor, but Thor was quick enough to grab his torso and toss him over to the tower's window. The man stopped himself before he could crash any more windows and looked outside.
Ana looked around the room, "Uh, what the hell is that?" She asked, pointing at the man or android or whatever it was.
The team all ran to the lounge area to attack but Thor held out his hand to stop them. Thor placed his hammer down on a table, and slowly crept closer toward the creature that was looking at the city's lights outside Avengers tower. The room was quiet. Pietro zoomed next to Wanda and Ana.
"I'm sorry, that was...odd." The red man said. He sounded a lot like Jarvis. He turned to Thor, and nodded his head in thanks. "Thank you." He said. He looked at Thor's cape and looked down, flexing his shoulders as a golden cape appeared.
"Thor," Steve said. "You helped create this?"
"I've had a vision. " Thor explained to Steve. "A whirlpool that sucks in all hope of life and at it's centre is that." Thor pointed to the golden gem on the man's forehead.
"What, the gem?" Bruce asked, slightly confused.
"It's the Mind Stone. It's one of the six Infinity Stones, the greatest power in the universe, unparalleled in its destructive capabilities." Thor said.
"Then why would you bring it to..." Steve trailed off.
"Because Stark is right." Thor said.
"Oh, it's definitely the end times." Bruce said worriedly. Ana gave him a look.
"The Avengers cannot defeat Ultron." Thor said.
"Not alone."
"Why does your 'Vision' sound like Jarvis?" Ana asked.
"We..." Tony said, taking a step toward the Vision. "We reconfigured Jarvis' matrix to create something new."
"I think I've had my fill of new." Steve said, sharing a look with Ana.
"You think I'm a child of Ultron?" Vision asked.
"You're not?" Steve asked in complete disbelief.
"I'm not Ultron," Vision shook his head. "I'm not Jarvis. I am...I am..." He looked at Tony and Bruce.
"I looked in your head and saw annihilation." Wanda said.
The Vision turned to look her. "Look again." He said. Ana noticed the way his eyes lingered on the Maximoff.
"Yeah," Clint scoffed. "Her seal of approval means jack to me." Clint said, walking back into the room as he crossed the middle of the lounge area.
"Their powers, the horrors in our heads, Ultron himself, they all came from the Mind Stone, and they're nothing compared to what it can unleash. But with it on our side..." Thor said until Steve cut in. He glanced at the God of Thunder.
"Is it?" Steve asked. Steve turned to face Vision, "Are you? On our side?"
"I don't think it's that simple." Vision said simply after a thoughtful look appeared on his face.
"Well it better get real simple real soon." Clint said.
The Vision turned to face the Avengers. "I am on the side of life. Ultron isn't, he will end it all." He said.
Ana nodded at him, "Good enough for me." She mused.
"What's he waiting for?" Tony asked.
"You." The Vision replied looking at Tony.
"Where?" Pietro asked.
"Sokovia," Clint replied. "He's got Nat there too."
"If we're wrong about you, if you're the monster that Ultron made you to be..." Bruce said, as he stepped closer to face the Vision. "What will you do?" The Vision asked him.
"I don't want to kill Ultron. He's unique, and he's in pain. But that pain will roll over the earth, so he must be destroyed. Every form he's built, every trace of his presence on the net, we have to act now. And not one of us can do it without the others."
The Vision glanced at his hands in slight confusion. "Maybe I am a monster. I don't think I'd know if I were one. I'm not what you are, and not what you intended. So there may be no way to make you trust me. But we need to go." Vision said, turning around. He was holding Thor's hammer in his hands.
The Avengers all looked slightly surprised. Ana let a smile grow on her lips as she shook her head. Oh yeah, they could trust Vision. Thor grabbed the hammer Vision gave to him. They all watched mouths agape as he left without a word.
"Right." Thor said, walking to Tony. He patted his shoulder, "Well done." He whispered.
"Three minutes," Steve said, "Get what you need."
Ana clapped her hands and motioned the twins to follow her, "Come on, newbies. Follow me." She smiled, leading them to the equipment room.
She waved her hand at the lockers, "Go ahead and try what you like. I'll be right back." She said. Wanda stopped her, placing her hand on her shoulder. She gave Ana a smile, "Thank you, Ana. For what you did."
Pietro stepped next to his sister and smiled at her also. Ana just gave them a nod, "My pleasure." She smiled before walking off. She turned around for a second and looked to Wanda, "I found your name, Scarlet Witch!"
"That's a lot better!"
"No, Quicksilver is better!"

As a first time writer, I'd love some constructive criticism as well as general comments about my work as a whole. This story is something I've been kind of thinking about for the better part of a few months and I actually got anxious enough to attempt to put it in writing. Releases may be sporadic as I'm currently in school, and chapter lengths will vary depending on how much I feel i need to write to get my point across. The tags are temporary and may change. I plan on using a cultivation/mana system as this will be somewhat of a crossover
