Back At It
- - - - -
After touching down in Washington D.C., Ana made her way to the Triskelion, the state of the art SHIELD facility. There she was directed to Director Fury's office for further duties. She hadn't been in the Triskelion since the first day she joined SHIELD, it certainly upgraded from then.
On her way to the elevator, she noticed all the stares thrown her way. Some were in awe, finally seeing her with their own eyes. They heard the stories about a superhuman girl that helped save New York, and actually getting a glimpse of another Avenger in their office was a real treat. But the other stares, Ana couldn't decipher at all. It gave her the creeps and she quickly stepped into the elevator.
When the doors closed, the screen next to the doors blinked, as if it was waiting for her to say something. Ana stepped closer to it, remembering the woman who directed her to the elevator say that she had to state her name and level.
"Michaels, Ana. Level seven." She stated, watching as the screen blinked and turned green, the elevator moving up.
Ana leaned on the bars, the ground getting farer as she stared down at it. Her hands made a clink noise when it touched the bar and she looked down at the thin metal bands Peter gave her. He said he made it and it was supposed to help her climb buildings, since she couldn't fly like Iron Man. He said a lot of science-y words and showed her how to use them. For the rest of her last day, they climbed up walls testing it out, but Aunt May caught them and told them to stay put and stopping scratching her newly painted walls.
Peter also hinted that Tony would be impressed by them and made her promise she would give in a good word for him, he wanted to work for Stark Industries. Ana had smiled at him and agreed, loving the way his face lit up. It was just before she left for Washington, that she realised her dagger ability was gone. She suspected it was because the sceptre's energy had faded away, it being no longer in her system. And she was grateful. She didn't want another weird ability.
When the elevator stopped, the doors slid open revealing Nick Fury. Ana walked out of the elevator and shook his outstretched hand, "Hey, boss. Is that a new coat?" She asked.
Fury just smirked and motioned her to follow him, "Ana, great to have you back. There's a reason why I called you in," They entered his office and Ana whistled at all the tech. He sat at his desk as Ana stood at the other end, her hands in her denim jacket pockets.

"A mission, right?" She looked at him, as he pulls out a black folder and handed it to her. She opened it as he explained, "Georges Batroc, a top Algerian assassin. Skilled military tactician, having formerly been in the French Foreign Legion. He and his men hijack the Lemurian Star that contained SHIELD agents and taken them as hostages. He then demanded a ransom for them and the carrier that contains... valuable SHIELD information."
Ana looked up at her boss, "You want me to take him down?" She asked, putting the folder back on the desk. Nick shook his head, "I want you to free the hostages. Rogers and Romanoff will take care of Batroc. You'll be joining the strike team." He concluded.
Ana fell back onto the chair behind her with eyebrows raised, she interlocked her hands and used her pointed finger to point at herself. "Me joining a strike team?" She looked at his serious face and then sighed, she couldn't disobey an order.
"Fine. When do I leave for the mission?"
"As soon as Captain gets back with Nat."

After getting changed into her new tactical gear, seeing as she couldn't wear her usual uniform now that she was apart of a strike team, Ana was pacing around the weaponry wing waiting for her two friends. Steve's shield was with her, along with Natasha's Widow's Bite gloves.
The doors slide open and she walked over to Steve and Natasha, smiling at them as they looked at her surprised. "Hey fellow Avengers." She greeted.
Natasha smiled at her warmly and embraced her, "Thanks for coming in, Clint's taking another vacation." When she pulled back, they shared a look and nodded. Ana knew all about his family and she and Nat weren't aloud to even say 'Clint' and 'family' in the same sentence.
Ana then frowned falsely, "Mine had to be cut short. Lucky bastard." She huffed. Steve chuckled at her and kindly gave her a hug, "Nice to see you again, Ana." He greeted.
"You too, Spangles." Ana smiled as they pulled away, then fidgeted around with her uniform. She looked at Natasha and pulled at her cargo pants, "Look what they put me in. I hate strike teams. They're so boring." She groaned.
Just then, a few agents of the strike team walked in behind Steve and Natasha, walking over to their own gear. Ana awkwardly cleared her throat as Steve and Nat smirked at her, walking over to their own uniforms. Brock Rumlow approached Ana, looking her up and down, "So you're the new addition to my team?" He asked.
Ana crossed her arms over her chest, narrowing her eyes at his handsome face. "Just for this mission I'm sure." She replied.

He smirked at her and then turned to the rest of the people in the weaponry wing, "Wheels up in ten!" He called before joining his team mates.

"Alright, I'm gonna sweep the deck and find Batroc. Nat, you'll kill the engines and wait for instructions. Rumlow, Ana, you sweep aft, find the hostages, get them to life pods. get 'em out. Let's go."
"STRIKE, you heard the Captain. Gear up!" Brock called through the ear comms. Ana placed a parachute on her back, tightening the straps as Natasha stepped to her. She looked up and Nat nodded, "Make sure you stay with the group and don't go off doing your own thing." She told Ana, giving her a small smirk.
Ana saluted her with a sigh, "Copy that. But if I smell something fishy," She waved her fists around making Nat chuckle, "I'm gonna bring the house down. Or ship down." She said, tying her hair up in a ponytail.
Natasha nodded at her, "Copy that." She echoed, moving to talk to Steve. Ana nervously double checked to make sure her straps were tight, she hated jumping off planes, especially if there was a huge body of water under her.
Brock caught her out of the corner of his eye and excused himself from his team. Ana looked at the hands that came and fiddled with her straps, trailing her eyes up to Brock's face. He had a smile on his face when he looked at her, "Any tighter and it'll leave bruises." He said before patting her shoulder.
Ana pursed her lips and gave him a nod, "Thanks. Never mind how much times I jump out of a plane, it doesn't get any easier." She said, chuckling slightly.
Brock kindly smiled, "At least you're jumping off," He motioned at one of their team mates who was gripping the pilot chair with a death grip, "Josh had to be forced on the quinjet." He chuckled, making Ana feel a little less nervous. A little.
Ana heard Steve say something to Natasha before diving off the quinjet and into the ocean. A STRIKE agent looked down after him in shock, "Was he wearing a parachute?" He questioned.
Rumlow smiled, "No. No, he wasn't."
Not a few seconds later, the team and Natasha jumped off one-by-one. Brock motioned Ana to go first and she took a deep breath before closing her eyes and diving toward the ship. She used the wind to guide her down to where she saw Steve punching his way through the outside of the ship.
As soon as she landed, she disregarded her parachute and kicked a pirate that had his gun pointed at Steve's head. He landed on the other side of the ship from her strength and Steve looked at her, "Thanks." He smiled.
Ana clenched her fist, the gloves tightening, "No worries, Cap." She returned the smile.
"What about the nurse that lives across the hall from you? She seems kind of nice." Natasha spoke up, looking at Steve suggestively.
Steve kept walking away from her as Ana laughed, Natasha was already trying to play matchmaker. "Secure the engine room, then find me a date." He told her.
"I'm multitasking." Natasha said before jumping over the railing, sending Ana a wink.
Brock ordered his men to rally down on the sides of the ship. The rest stealthily entered the ship, moving to where the hostages were being kept. Ana had her automatic gun up, following Brock as he stopped behind a pirate. As soon as the pirate turned to face them, Brock uses his stun gun to shock him, quickly grabbing him by the jacket so he didn't make a loud noise when he fell.
Ana aimed at the door, waiting if anyone had heard and when nothing happened, she drops her gun, the strap holding it around her shoulders and she reached in her pack for a small explosive to place on the door. Once it was secured they stood back, readying for Steve's go ahead.
Ana lifted her wrist and spoke into the small mic pinned on her cuff. "STRIKE in position." She whispered.
"On my mark. Three. Two. One."
The STRIKE team on the sides of the ship started shooting at the pirates through the windows, Ana blew open the door with the detonator and Rumlow quickly shot the head pirate on the other side. Agent Sitwell who was tied on the ground looked at the body, "I told you, SHIELD doesn't negotiate." He mocked.
Ana stepped in the room and started cutting the plastic wires on the hostages, giving them a smile, "You're all okay, we're going to get you out." She told them, receiving grateful looks and praises in return.
When she approached Sitwell, she sighed, "Why the hell were you here, Jasper? This isn't your department." She asked, cutting off the restraints.
He just smirked at her, "Classified, Ana."

One day, when the young man was 13, he met his first spirit contract, and his Legend begun there. The Legend of the creator of the ultimate cultivation Scripture in history. The creator of the Primordial Evolution Scripture, Jing Guanyu! The Primordial Emperor! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The inspiration for Book (brackets say roughly what I got inspiration from) Do note: I do completely copy anything from any books. All of this book is original and all the books mentioned below are simply inspiration that gave me the ideas in regards to whats in the brackets. It may seem similar (like with MW I also use the E-E-D cultivation but my definitions and cultivation realms are different from the inspirations) > Martial World (Cultivation Paths) > Lord Xue Ying (Non-Generic Plot) > Stellar Transformations (Unique Cultivation Technique) > Consuming Earth, Devouring Skies (Character Development) > Ancient Godly Monarch + Invincible (Martial Spirits + Own touch to this idea) > The Storm King + Lament of the Fallen (The Soul Realm/Soul Domain) -------------------------------------------------------------------- Final words: Ok, I will just say that there are several reasons why the MC's cultivation speed is so mediocre despite how "talented" he is. There are logical reasons and they will be explained when necessary. Just remember that cultivation speed isn't everything. Hope you enjoy. I will take constructive feedback and logical criticism. However, I will not even reply to illogical criticism, rants or salty people who got pissed off because the main character didn't get "that divine medicine" or "this divine sword" or whatever. Note: I have marked all 4 of the content warning boxes due to a uncertainty in how dark, gory, descriptive or traumatizing my story will get. Btw, the cover isn't my property but was gotten from a website on mythology (greek I think). IF they ask me to take it down, then I shall. IF NOT, then IDGAF. LOL

Twoen
The struggle for an interesting game has been the story of my life for quite some time. Every game I find is either too easy, not interesting or too short. Luckily, my two brothers who match my level of skill, albeit in different areas, tend to spice things up. When I look at my older brother I have no idea how he gets anything done when he's such an idiot. Still it doesn't detract from my respect for him as a gamer, though maybe a little. When I look at my younger brother I marvel at the monster that my older brother and I created. Deadliness, craftiness and quiet, both in what he does and how he is. When it's just us three we tend to destory everything in our path. So normally we tend to compete rather than team. Although that isn't to say we're just good as individuals. When we work together our effectiveness multiplies rather than lowering. Well enough about us dorks. Anyway a new VR game came out, apparently in development for quite some time. Of course my older brother decided to drive out and buy three copies. What would this one be missing? Difficulty? Depth? Length? In any case I plan to reach the top before my brothers do. It was a competition after all. Twoen had all three things I normally yearn for in spades. Something I did not foresee. A keeper
