This is it.

Today's the day I've been waiting for.

The day I get to call the girl of my dreams my wife.

Standing at the front of the church -- my palms clammy and clasped in front of me -- I wait nervously for my Angel to arrive. My heart is pounding like crazy and sweat glistens above my brow.

I'm nervous as hell and I can't seem to keep still.

I hate being away from her for so long, but after today she will be mine to love, to cherish, forever. We've come a long way and today we are to be officially married.

I stand beside my best men Matt, Jared and Maddox. Wearing matching grey tuxedos, white dress shirts and silver ties. Matt and JJ smirk in my direction, Jared looks impatient and Maddox's face remains indifferent.

The church looks beautiful, I can smell the delicate essence of flowers in the air that Marnie picked out for our special day. Lilies and pink and white roses. They are dotted around the room and giving the place a vibrancy of colour.

Matt leans toward me to whisper in my ear. "Do you remember the first day of senior year when I made that bet? I knew you would end up falling for a girl."

I flinch, remembering that day perfectly. I had a bad reputation. I treated girls poorly and Matt had this crazy idea I'd end up falling for one that year. I thought it was the most foolish thing I've ever heard.

Marnie turned up and flipped my whole world around.

"You still owe me your bike, dude."

I roll my eyes, smiling. "I'll buy you a new one."

I look at all the familiar faces in the crowd of our close family and friends who attended our special day. The infectious feeling of the wedding has reached everyone. We didn't invite too many people because we wanted a private ceremony in our hometown in California.

My eyes wander between each face until I lock eyes with a familiar dark brown pair. I take a deep breath, my eyes burn and a faint smile appears on my lips.

He watches me intently and I can see something pass through his orbs. If I wasn't watching closely, I would have surely missed it. He stares at me with pride in his eyes. A small lump forms in my throat and my eyes fill with tears.

We've always had a rocky relationship, but two years ago my father visited New York. He spent a lot of time thinking about how he treated me growing up and he said he regretted the things he did. He was ashamed of the way he treated me and promised to make it up to me. Of course, I was stubborn and I remained angry with him for a while, it was Marnie who urged me to give him another chance to prove himself.

After all, he is the only family member I have left who even cares about me. I didn't want to let my pride get in the way anymore. I will never forget the past, but I have forgiven my father.

Marnie was right.

Sometimes my father and I don't see eye to eye but we still maintain a good relationship. Things have been better. We contact each other every other week and he keeps up to date on my music career, and tours and sometimes he turns up to concerts to watch me perform. It's like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders because I spent so long resentful of him.

I nod at my old man and his mouth twitches, giving me a weak smile. I never thought I'd see the day my father smiled at me.

My eyes glance over to the opposite side of the room where I see Marnie's mom sitting in the front row. She looks better nowadays, her skin has more colour, her figure looks healthier and her eyes are brighter. She wears a lavender-coloured dress. Her hair falls in perfect butterscotch waves and her makeup is precise.

She sits next to her boyfriend, smiling so wide and leaning into his side as she waits for her daughter to arrive. Marnie has a better relationship with her mom. It made Marnie so joyful, I couldn't have been more proud of my girl. I was happy that she was happy.

We've spent the most amazing few years together. I wanted to propose to Marnie for so long and last year felt like the right time. We were both at a good point in our careers, she had just brought her third solo album out and I had just finished touring my second solo album.

We were both staying in LA and visiting our hometown. I managed to gather all our family and friends at a music award show where Marnie won Best Female Artist of the year. After her beautiful speech, I ran up on stage and got down on one knee. She looked stunned and her eyes held tears while she agreed to marry me.

She made me the happiest man in the world.

My brother Hayden would pat me on the back right now if he were here. I'm sure he'd be proud of me.

Music rang throughout the church and the door opens slowly and making my heart rate quicken. A vision in white stands beside her brother with a bouquet of pale pink roses in her hands

Frankly, her brother and I hated each other for a while, understandably since I punched him square in the face when we first met. Nowadays, however, we have a better relationship. I'm happy he is the one to give Marnie away today.

Theo has finally accepted me and while he's still overprotective of Marnie, he trusts me. He knows his sister will be safe and happy in my hands.

I glance at the beauty that is soon to be my wife. She watches me apprehensively, her sparkling eyes wide and fixed on me -- like I'm the only person in the room.

Her cheeks have an alluring rosy tint and her shiny hair is pulled up into a neat up-do with a few stay locks framing her heart-shaped face. She was nervous about today. Still, I promised her I'd be waiting for her at the altar, ready to hold her hand when she got to my side.

She is beautiful, stunning, and all mine. When she reaches me, she stops to kiss Theo on the cheek before taking my hand. I squeeze hers reassuringly. When I look into her eyes, I see tears of joy.

My chest bursts with warmth and love. Everything fades when she squeezed my hand back.

Finally, she is here. My sweet Angel.

She smiles nervously and I can't resist grinning at her, my hand clasped in hers. My eyes never stray from her beautiful face.

God, she is stunning, I won't ever get tired of looking at her angelic face.

She's always been mine. She was made for me.

Her three bridesmaids stand at Marnie's side. She picked Sky as her head bridesmaid, followed by Sasha and Roxy. I glance over at Roxy who winks in my direction, giving me her approval.

The girls look pretty in their long beige dresses. Theo walks over to his four-year-old daughter Leah who watches us with a wide, toothy grin on her face. She looks like the mini version of Sky.

After we give our vows and declare our love to the world, we are officially declared husband and wife and I waste no time kissing my bride.

The moment our lips meet, our souls collide.

The crowd cheers and applauds us as Marnie buries her face in my chest, giggling adorably. Everyone stands from their seat, clapping and cheering as we walk down the aisle hand in hand. We stop at the top of the stairs to take photos for every magazine in the world.

I hold the most precious thing in my world. My wife. My heart, my soulmate.

Life can't get any better than this moment.
