I had no idea what to expect walking into a nightclub. I was way out of my comfort zone and a nervous wreck when showing my fake ID to the scary-looking bouncer. Thankfully I had Reese by my side, so the guy didn't pay too much attention to me when he was talking animatedly to the band.

I finally persuaded Sky to come with us tonight. At first, she was reluctant, not because of Reese's worries about the dangers of nightclubs. Sky felt she was doing something illegal. We agreed not to drink at all. I was also dying to watch Reese perform live again, to see for myself how much of a big deal his band was.

So here we are, entering a nightclub for the first time with Reese holding onto my waist. My belly did a little flutter at his protective side. It's nice to see how much he cares about me and he's showing everyone that we are official. Once inside the noisy club, I could feel the energy roaring, it makes my body light up with excitement.

It was no surprise to see how much attention the band was getting, especially the main man as he walks close beside me. He got stopped by several fans and friends. As frustrating as it must be for him to constantly get asked to pose for pictures or sign an autograph, or just get tapped on the arm or told how good a singer he is, Reese didn't show annoyance. I was very impressed with how he handled himself.

At least a dozen females with short tops, showing half their cleavage, batter their fake eyelashes at Reese. My stomach knots and my frustration and jealousy boils over when Reese looked over at me. I turned my red face away so he couldn't see my emotions.

I can't let it get to me. He isn't doing anything wrong. It's not his fault he's desired by many girls. I just have to accept that other girls want him, as long as he stays loyal to me, everything is perfect.

I'm just so happy to be here tonight. I couldn't wait to hear the band play again.

"I don't know why you dragged me here." Sky's timid voice comes from behind me.

We spent an hour deciding what to wear at my place. In the end, we both picked dark wrap dresses and ankle boots. Sky's style is different from mine, while she usually wears neutral coloured blouses, ballet shoes and simple jeans -- we thought it would be a great idea to change it up for one night.

So I did her makeup, going for a grey smokey eye look and her hair styled in bouncy, long waves. She's wearing contacts instead of her usual black thick-lensed glasses and the violet dress exposes her long tanned legs and arms. She looks stunning and apparently I'm not the only one who notices her new makeover. I see Matt checking her out every so often, shock evident on his face.

I loop my free arm around hers. "Let's just hear the band play a few songs and then we can go."

Sky grumbles incoherently as we continue to walk to the front stage. Matt, JJ and Roxy are the first to set up and Reese lingers for a little while longer with me and Sky. I don't have a clue where Harley went and when I asked Reese about her outside the club, he told me she's been ignoring everyone in the band and at school. She's decided to take some time off from the band. Frankly, I didn't want to pry too much, I've not exactly had the best welcome from her since day one.

The band is all set and Reese flicks his chin at Matt before facing me. "Okay, we're on in five minutes. Make sure you stick with Sky at all times and stay near the front where I can see you." his eyes look down at me, they hold a mixture of concern and worry.

I smile, warmth spreading throughout my body. My heart simmers knowing how much he cares for me.

I press my lips against his, enjoying one last passionate kiss. I feel it flood straight to my heart.

"I will now go break a leg." his mouth curls up at one side and his green eyes blaze. He gives a very sexy wink before he jumps on stage with ease and I'm left standing with Sky who looks around her cautiously.

Fifteen minutes later, we are at the bar ordering a drink of lemonade as the band continues to play their songs. The room is dark, murky and filled with sweaty bodies enjoying the music and booze.

We couldn't get near the front of the stage, so we decided to stay at the bar. The band sounds amazing, I recognise a few from the party and new music that sounds even more upbeat and rock and roll.

It's pretty good.

The atmosphere in the room is euphoric. I could only imagine what it's like to perform on stage. How it must feel to relish playing your music to your beloved fans and simply enjoy the feeling it brings.

I'm leaning over the bar, bobbing my head to the music when I feel someone lean in to whisper in my ear. "You enjoying yourself beautiful?"

I turn my head to the right and stiffen when I see a rough-looking man who must be in his late twenties, or early thirties watching me like a hawk.

"Uh, yeah thanks." I stumble away, looking over at Sky for help. I notice her soft brunette hair a few meters away, talking to a guy with light auburn hair. She seems to be enjoying their conversation, making me more on edge.

"You look a bit tense, would you like me to buy you a drink sweetheart?" I look back at the guy next to me with narrowed eyes. He has a shaved head, thick tattoed arms and a chilling smile. He seems mysterious and dangerous. I can feel tiny goosebumps rise on my skin and a cold chill brush my neck.

"No, I've got a drink thank you." his eyes dance with amusement as he looks down at my body hungrily.

He gives me a bad vibe and I can't wait for him to leave.

"Well drink up then sweetheart." I shiver under his dark gaze and the look he gives me makes me sick. I cast my eyes back to the band on stage, ignoring the man next to me.

After another song ends, another one begins. I drain the rest of my drink and sneak a look to my right, breathing a sigh of relief when I see the man next to me has disappeared.

Peering to my left, I see Sky talking rather theatrically with her guy and I giggle softly. I'm happy she's putting herself out there. She's normally quite closed off and shy. After everything that has happened with Kyle -- she's retreated into her shell. I look at her now with pride in my eyes, like a proud mother watching her young grow.

Suddenly, I start feeling queasy. My eyes blur and I blink furiously. Shifting on my feet, the lights inside the club and the loud music kills my ears. I don't want to bother Sky, so I place my glass on the bar and head toward the girl's toilets.

I need a place to breathe in this stuffy club and the girl's toilets are the first place I saw to make a quick escape.

I don't know how I make it there but when I do, I stumble inside while grabbing the wall to support my weak body. I feel intoxicated and I haven't drunk any alcohol. Why do I feel so sick?

I rub my temples, breathing in and out. My jaw hurts, my legs wobble and I hold on to the sink, feeling like I'm about to pass out at any moment. I need to find Sky and leave as soon as possible, I'm not feeling well at all.

Get it together Marnie. Sky is right outside, you can do it.

I manage to drag my feet back inside the club, holding onto the wall again. The song still plays and it sounds so good. So good. I love this music, I love this club.

My head falls forward and so do my knees. I land on something solid but I know I'm not on the floor. Where am I?

I laugh, feeling light as a feather.

The music starts to fade and I could feel a cold breeze blow across my face, my hair sticking to my cheek that's burning hot as a flame. I try my very best to open my eyes. It's blurry but I can just make out I'm outside the club. It's dark and quiet, I see the man with the shaved head and tattoos holding onto me.

Wait, why is he holding me?

What is happening? Where are we going?

The next thing I know, I'm getting dragged into the back of a vehicle. My body feels paralyzed.

Hold on, why is he taking me away from the club? Away from my friends and Reese?

Reese. I need Reese.

He's going to be so mad at me.

My head rolls back, I feel myself slowly going in and out of consciousness.

Before I could let the darkness overtake my vision, I catch a glimpse of a girl through the window. I recognise her blonde hair and blood-red streaks, her wide eyes staring through the glass window.

Harley.
