They wheeled Meredith's gurney inside of Mercy West
"Bring her to the OR, now!" Addison yelled
"We need an incubator for the baby and give her steroids, now!" Arizona yelled
Meredith woke up and grabbed Derek's hand. She looked terrified
"Mer, I'm not gonna leave you. You and Bel will be fine!" Derek said as her eyes closed again
"Derek.." Mark started
"I.."
"We'll watch in the gallery" Mark said as he took Derek with him
They started to cut and quickly got Bella out. Arizona got a worried look on her face. Meanwhile Derek ran into the OR followed by Mark. Everyone in that room was terrified. This was one of their own.
"Arizona?" Derek chocked out
"Derek.." Mark whispered
"No! Arizona?"
He got disturbed by the sound of his baby who started crying
"Hey, Bella" He whispered as they took her up to the NICU
"Go be with Bella, I'll stay with Mer" Mark offered
...
"Hmm?" Meredith groaned finally waking up after her emergency C section and a placental abruption
"Mer?" Derek whispered
"Der?"
"Yeah.. I'm here Mer"
"Bel?"
"She's in the NICU. Addi and Mark are with her. I wanted to be here when you woke up"
"Can I go see her?"
"Not yet, Mer."
"Is.. Is she okay?"
"She's so tiny.. I've never seen such a tiny baby but they are keeping a close eye on her. I have a picture if you want?"
"Oh.. Please" Meredith said as her eyes lighted up
Derek showed Meredith the pictures he took off their newborn daughter.
"Derek? She's so.. tiny" Meredith said, her voice cracking
"She's gonna pull through. She's as strong as her mommy" Derek smiled
"When can I see her?"

"I think.. We should.. Mer.."
"Derek?"
"I.. We need the best doctors, this isn't the best hospital"
"Oh"
"We should try and transfer both of you to Seattle Grace"
"What.. What happened after we got out?"
"Gary Clark shot a few others.. The chief went in and talked to him and he shot himself trough the head"
"He.. He's dead?"
"He is, Mer! He won't hurt any of us"
"When could we get transferred?"
"I'm gonna talk to Bailey and the chief. Do you want me to page Addi and Mark to keep you company?"
"No! Someone needs to stay with Bel. Derek, I don't want her alone at any time, please"
"Mer.."
"I'm fine, Derek!" She begged
...
"Hey, baby girl. Mommy wants to come take a look to" Derek said as he was watching his daughter, surrounded by many tubes, wires and lamps
"Derek?" Arizona walked in
"Yeah?"
"How's Meredith doing?"
"She's.. okay. She wants to see our girl" He smiled sadly
"Well, let me talk to Bailey, Webber and Montgomery"
Derek nodded and put his finger in the incubator as he gently touched her legs "Mom and dad will take care of you, honey. We'll make sure you're safe, forever" He whispered letting out some tears
His phone went off
"Hey, Addi? Is Mer okay?"
"Derek" Mer whispered
"Hey! Glad to see you. I'm with Bel"
"Derek, that's why I'm calling, so Mer can finally see her"
Derek turned the camera and filmed the baby
"Hey, Bella!" Mer said as she started crying
Bella started moving a bit
"I think she recognizes mommy" Derek giggled
"Bailey will clear me tomorrow morning if I don't show any signs of infection"
"Mer, that's great!" Derek exclaimed
...
The previous night, Derek stayed with Bella except these last 4 hours, Addison and Mark both had taken over for two hours do Derek went to Meredith's room and joined her in the bed

"Good morning, Grey" Bailey said as she entered the room
"Morning" She whispered back, trying not to wake up Derek
"We'll need to examine you, can you wake up your hubby for us?" Bailey smiled
Meredith gently shook Derek awake
"Mer? Are you okay?" Derek asked with a scared tone as he woke up
"Yeah, rounds" She giggled
"Meredith.. We'll clear you to visit the NICU. But keep it short. I don't want you to sit up longer than half an hour to start with, clear?" Bailey asked
"30 minuten but if-"
"Clear?" Bailey repeated
"Yeah.." Meredith sighed
"I'll make sure she doesn't overdo!" Derek promised
"Can we go now?" Meredith asked as she made an attempt to sit up when Addi gently pushed her back
"No overdoing yourself, Mer!" Addison said
"I'll go grab a wheelchair, Grey" Bailey said
"Addi.. How's Bel doing?" Meredith asked a bit scared
"She's good for now, Mer. We got her. We'll transfer both of you later today."
"Thank you Addi" Meredith said while a tear escaped her eye
"Oh, Mer.. I'm glad my godchild is fine, same with my best friend!"
Bailey entered the room with the wheelchair and Derek And Addison gently helped Meredith to get in before walking to the NICU. Meredith was scared. She wanted to see her daughter so bad but the fear was there, her daughter was born at six and a half months old, there are risks.
"Are you ready, Mer?" Addison asked as Derek pushed her inside
"Here she is, our beautiful daughter" Derek smiled as a proud father
"She.. She's beautiful" Meredith smiled while tears were streaming down her face. "She's so tiny"
"She's in the best hands, Mer. Arizona and Alex are doing everything they can"
"When can we hold her?" Meredith asked, still staring at her tiny baby girl
"Once she's stable. We want you to do skin to skin as soon as possible but we're helping her lungs and heart at this moment so not yet, okay?"
"Will.. Will she have any health issues?" Meredith asked finally looking at Addison
"Let me page Arizona. She'll be able to explain, okay?"
"Okay.." Meredith looked back at Bella, knowing that this means something could be wrong with her baby

Zone has no owner, it has its rules It shows no mercy, to both wise and fools. It has no God, it gives no hope It gives to kind, last rites and rope. It’s a Hell on Earth where demons thrive But people kill, to get inside. People kill, to leave this place People die, for a chance to stay. For those, outside, they dream of horrors We live inside, horrific borders. We live, we thrive, just like those demons. Here, our lives, they have a meaning. Zone has no God, it has no Devil But it has us and its enough We are in Hell or maybe Heaven Gates are here, in front of us. The Zone has many rules and none of them would make much sense to you, living on the Outside. For example here, you would never hear, “I’m sorry for your loss”. Only silence would be the answer. The most empathetic action you would receive, is an open flask and a nod. People here don’t expect to live long and happy lives and even the most optimistic person at most, would hope to die inside of a blender. It's the most painless and quickest way to die in The Zone, and the cleanest. Your body would be torn apart in a second by countless gravitational pulls, all centered on you, leaving nothing but a red circle outside of its perimeter.

To live is to Dream (LitRPG; First Draft)
A new Power has come into the World and seeks to change it. Being on the last dregs of sanity and full of alcohol Daniel West receives an opportunity to seek revenge. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------To live is to Dream is the second book of the Just a Dream series. You do not have to read the first to enjoy the second, but there will be recurring characters along the line. The first book features Mir, a man that dislikes how his current world appears and hence wants to change it. The second book will feature other people and how the changes implemented by Mir affect their lives. For those interested in my first book, it's easy to find it. Just beware that with the first book, it was my first time writing and there are a lot of grammar errors despite lots of editing, at least at the beginning of the book. The cover was done by Lmarief. I had requested something bizarre and she delivered. I have even used it as part of the story since her interpretation of my imagination was a bit different. Still, I loved it. As a thank you gift, I posted a link to her profile here for others who want a unique cover. https://www.royalroad.com/profile/220043
