A few weeks went by and Meredith's labs came back positive. Her body wasn't rejecting the new pair of lungs and she was finally cleared to go home again
Meredith's lung capacity has improved a lot in the past week and she's good enough to walk down the hallway and back to her room
"Mer, you're cleared to go home" Bailey said as she stepped into the room where Meredith, Derek and the kids were playing a board game
"Well, as long as McDreamy keeps taking care of you" Cristina added
"Of course I will" Derek whispered before kissing Meredith's lips
"Daddy!" Bailey groaned
"Even the McBabies don't like your kissing" Cristina laughed
"I'm happy I can kiss him again without feeling like I'm breathless" Meredith giggled
"You still need to take it easy. No lifting, no workouts, no climbing the stairs unsupervised and I'll write down the rest if the rules" Cristina said with a stern face "Oh and don't die" Cristina added with lifting her eyebrows
"Mommy?" Ellis whispered "You're not gonna die, are you?" The little girl asked
"Of course not" Meredith said and kissed the little girl's head before looking at Cristina with a frown
"I'm sorry, I- I didn't mean it like this. You mommy's gonna be fine, I-" Cristina started to panic when she saw the crying young girl
"Aunt Cristina is really bad at making jokes, baby. Don't listen to her" Meredith told her daughter with a smile who seemed convinced and nodded before repositioning herself in Meredith's arms
"We're gonna give you some time to pack your stuff" Bailey said and left
"Mer? I- I'm leaving in a couple of days, I'm sorry" Cristina said before leaving the room
Meredith nodded even if Cristina already left and hugged the little girl that was laying in her arms even tighter

Derek noticed that Meredith felt bad about this and quickly moved closer to her and wrapped his arms around her
"I'm fine" She whispered
"I know" Derek whispered back but didn't let go of her
"Thanks for sticking with me" Meredith whispered while looking into Derek's eyes and leaning a bit closer into his embrace.
"I wouldn't trade any of this, ever" He whispered back and kissed her head
"I should finish packing.." She sighed
"Let me. You go cuddle with the kids" He smiled at her and she nodded
Derek got up and grabbed her bag that was already partly packed. He walked into the bathroom to grab her toothbrush and toothpaste, a few of her other stuff before returning to the room and grabbing her sweatpants and sweaters and stuffing them in her bag
"Come on guys, let's clean this up" Meredith said as she tried to get up but her body protesting at this
"Mommy, you need a hand?" Zola asked and Meredith grabbed her oldest daughter's hand and pulled herself on her feet, swaying a bit
"Mommy, sit down. Me and daddy will get everything ready" Bailey said with a proud smile on his face
Meredith and Derek had to chuckle a bit by seeing the kids care for their mom
"I think we should let daddy stop at McDonalds" Meredith laughed
"I want nuggets!" Ellis yelled
"Can I have a large menu?" Bailey asked as his eyes grew
"I want a strawberry milkshake" Zola gasped
"And I would love some French fries" Meredith winked
"I thought you should eat as healthy as possible? Didn't the doctor say that?" Derek grinned
"I can't remember that, besides, fries are potatoes, which are vegetables.." Meredith laughed
"Of course" Derek laughed as he and Bailey finished packing. "Okay guys. I'm gonna sign mommy's discharge papers. Stay here and don't make any trouble" Derek warned them

"Kay, daddy" Ellis smiled and brushed her fingers through Meredith's hair
"Baby, can you hand me my phone, please?" Meredith asked Zola
"Of course" Zola said and handed Meredith her phone
"I'm texting uncle Alex and aunt Jo to see if they wanna come over tonight" Meredith smiled
"Is the baby still in aunt Jo's tummy?" Ellis asked
"Yep, for at least another 5 months, baby" Meredith giggled as her daughter sighed
"That's too long mommy. I wanna play with the baby" Ellis complained
"Soon enough" Meredith replied
"Okay Grey, please don't force it at home" Bailey said as she entered the room, followed by Cristina "Come in if you feel any trouble breathing, if you feel you're wheezing or anything"
"Mer, I'm coming by tomorrow to say goodbye. Is that okay?" Cristina asked
Meredith nodded "Alex and Jo are coming over tonight. You can join if you want"
"Oh, no.. I- I have a surgery and I, yeah.." Cristina sighed "I'll see you tomorrow" She said before leaving the room
"Okay" Meredith whispered but Cristina was already gone
"Mommy, let's go" Bailey grabbed her hand "We need ti go home"
Meredith and Derek had to giggle and Derek helped her into the chair

Parallels
Parallels are a constant in life. Our friends' lives often run parallel to ours; we share similar experiences or tastes- perhaps even both. Sometimes, however, opposites attract- and our lives run perpendicular. In that case, we are not attracted by similarities; rather, we are attracted to the differences in others. So, what happens when two parallels are broken apart? What might happen to them? Are they forever doomed to run alongside each other, never seeing one another, never meeting? Or, perhaps, might they be spun about? Could these lines that formerly ran alongside one another meet? Could they possibly be set perpendicular? Any feedback is welcome, so long as it is constructive. Also, you may not use any characters, ideas, places, or what have you that I present here without my explicit permission. A note: This is a story which I began over a year ago, but never got around to finishing- it feels about time to really get it going. Now, there are a couple of things about the story, and myself, that need to be said. First and foremost, there's a slow start, but by the third-fourth chapter things should be speeding up a bit. Secondly, in regards to release speed and/or word count per chapter, I make no promises- my schedule is fairly random, and in regards to word count, I will cut off any chapter at any point that feels appropriate to me- that may include cliffhangers, if necessary. I'm not trying to reach a specific word count, I am trying to create a cohesive story, with pseudo-appropriate chapter breaks. This means I will also not rush a half-baked release for the sake of getting a release out. Thirdly, I will make any edits, anywhere in the story and at any time, that strike me as necessary- typically being wording and/or formatting changes, but I may also decide to change major plot points- in that case I would put a notification in the next chapter released. Finally, and most importantly, I am a Christian; this story is intended to at least moderately reflect those values. So, if you particularly dislike any of these things, feel free to look elsewhere, and don't let the door hit you on the way out. God bless, friends.

Untouched (Untouched #1)(Old Work)
{COMPLETED!} A story of twists and turns, and an epic struggle. He was there. And then he was gone; vanished. Ellen's attacker was killed in broad daylight under unusual circumstances. One minute he was behind her; the next, caught between the hoods of two cars. That's when she questioned how normal she truly was. But when she becomes exposed to an unknown world, she quickly learns that there is more to life than meets the eye. Necromancers, sleight of hands, illusions, and trickery are amongst the many tools used by others to hunt her kind. The struggle becomes real as she fights to remain untouched; all whilst in the middle of an epic blood battle between good versus evil. "Through all of the countless crap stories and recycled tales, Untouched is a rare diamond in the rough. With tantalizing descriptions and characters with incredible depth, T.K. Kotkoda paints a unique tale that is a much-need change from the stereotypical Paranormal story. It has been my pleasure to read it." - JDGRIMM - Highest Paranormal Rank: #28 [5 May 2017] -
