"Absolutely not" she scoffs and my shoulders drop
"Why not?"
"You, alone with a bunch of people i've never met? Plus you and only two other girls? No Jordyn"
"But. But! One of the other girls is Amanda, PLUS Clay will be there!" I follow her around the house
"Who else will be there?" She asks and I name everyone
'Wilbur, Niki, Clay, Amanda, Nick, George, Karl, Alex, Toby, Noah, and.." I stop at Tommy's name and she raises an eyebrow
"And?"
"Tommy" I grimace and she laughs
"Yeah absolutely not" she shakes her head
"Why notttt" I groan and she just stares at me
'For one, you stopped at Tommys name so that makes me believe there's something going on there, and two you're 17!" she huffs and I scoff
"Exactly! i'M 17! I should be able to make my own decisions!" I counter and she laughs
"When you live under my roof you go by my decisions. End of discussion!" she puts her hands on her hips and I smile
"When I live under your roof?" I ask and she raises an eyebrow
"Yeah. if you want to move out at 17 be my guest" she tilts her head and my smile grows.
I walk upstairs my head held high until I realize, I have 3 weeks until the meet up. How the hell am I going to move out? Don't get me wrong, i've been wanting to move out for a while so this isn't just for the meet up, but now I actually have a reason too.
I check my bank account from my past job. 3,000 euros, that will only get me maybe two months rent. I sigh and call Tommy
"Streaming!" he yells before I could say anything and I hum

"Hi chat!" I smile and go back to my laptop
"What are you looking at?" he questions and I look back to him
"Apartments" I sigh and rub my temples
"Why?" he snorts
"Well, i've been wanting to move out for a while now, plus my mom said no because I "live under her roof" I put it in quotations and he laughs
"We can talk more when you're done streaming, that way I don't accidentally spill anythin" I snort and he nods propping me against his monitor. He continues streaming without hanging up me putting input here and there
He gets into a call with WIlbur and Niki and I laugh at his side of the conversation
"Yeah she's on the phone, she called me" he says
"SHE CALLED ME!" he defends and I snort
"Oh shut it you bitch" he narrow shis eyes at me and I gasp
"Tommy, how could you say that" I fake cry
" SHES FAKING IT!" he yells and I try my hardest not to laugh
"UGH FINE" he reaches for his phone and puts the speaker facing the inside of the headphone
"Ziggy! How are you beautiful?" Niki questions and I smile
"I'm doing great! Tommy's being a bitch though" I sigh and WIlbur laughs harder than he was beforehand
"He's like that with everyone, do I have your permission to post that photo I took yesterday?" She asks and I snort
"I don't know I might attacked" I scrunch my nose and she hums
"I'll personally fight everyone who bullies you"
"Then yeah, i'm okay with it, but ask Tommy" I shrug and Niki lets out a 'yes'
"Okay enough conspiring you two, and what picture?" Tommy questions and then he gets a message

"Fine I guess, only to prove that I get women" he puffs his chests
"You didn't 'get me' Tommy, in your dreams" I snort
"NO WILBUR SHUT UP" Tommy yells and I raise an eyebrow
" I have a feeling this has to do with my pervious statement" I smirk and Tommy just glares at me
"Shut up Ziggy, i'll reveal your real name"
"Gasp! Not my real name! How will Jordyn ever recover" I sigh and Tommy just stares at me
"YOU JUST TOOK MY BLACKMAIL" he yells at me and I snort
"What? revealing my name? HEY CHAT MY REAL NAME IS JORDYN WALKER" I yell and Tommy groans
"Now wilbur send me what you were just talking about im curious"
I get a text and click on the conversation

[Volume 2] - Currently Airing It had not been a good idea to interfere with the characters of the original novel. Had I known it was going to cause a butterfly effect, I would have stayed in my lane and minded my business. Although, between the suspicious attacks I seem to constantly find myself in the center of, and my 'family' who is the living definition of the expression 'rich pricks', I’m not entirely sure my current predicament would have been avoidable. But maybe it isn't to be avoided; maybe I should embrace this opportunity that has been given to me and become the hero of this story? At least it's certain that I can't do worse than the original protagonist in terms of moral ambiguity; with immortality already in my pocket, and no other useful skills to account for. However, if I were to follow this path, I would have a lot to lose, including an upcoming promotion and my growing relationship with my crush. With power, glory and whatever else on one side, and my wellbeing and happiness on the other, even in this magical wuxia world, the choice is easy to make.
