I walk to the desired gate, my converse dragging with every step

"Ziggy it's not that bad, stop being so dramatic" my mom says rolling her green eyes. Her red hair falling off of her shoulders

" I left all of my friends! I have a right to be dramatic" I huff out setting down my suitcase by my seat as i slump down crossing my arms

My mom only rolls her eyes for the fourth time since we've gotten to the airport, she looks down at her phone using one finger to type. I put my nose up in disgust as her perfectly manicured finger taps the screen

I pull out my phone and plug my headphones in, I feel my stomach growl and tap my mom

"What now Jordyn?" she huffs and i flinch and put my finger down

"Nothing it's fine" i mumble and look down at my shoes

She scoffs and goes back to swiping on tinder

"I'm going to go get some food" I mumble again and my mom hands me 30 bucks with a sigh

"Stay off gluten it makes your face puffy" she reminds me

I purse my lips and give a quick nod before turning my back and rolling my eyes. I walk through the crowd and click on a contact

Now calling MAIN BITCH

"Heyyy" I hear Amanda's voice ring through my headphones and I smile

"Hey" I say back looking at all the restaurants

Suddenly my phone vibrates and i see my reflection

Amanda wants to facetime!

I click accept and wave to the camera, Amanda waves her elbow as her hands are occupied with the colorful liquid she's putting on her hair

"What color are you putting this time?" I snort walking up to a popeyes

"Blue and purple" she says as she paints the brush

I walk up to the cashier and plaster on a smile

"Hi, can I get a 4 piece with mashed potatoes and a sweet tea?" I ask and the cashier nods

"10.34" she exhales, I can see the bored expression on her face, I hand her the money and see a guns and roses pin on her visor

"Have you been to a Guns and Roses concert? I heard they only sell those at them" I smile pointing to the pin and the girls face lights up

"Yeah! My best friend and I went to one last weekend! Have you been to one?" she asks and I shake my head

"I was supposed to go this weekend but had to cancel because we're moving" I frown and she looks at me pitiful

"Dude, that sucks! I want to go to another one, but tickets are really hard to get" she huffs and I snort

"I know! It took me like two weeks to get these, then boom wasted them" i make a explosion hand gesture and the girl giggles

"But my friend is going with her brother so at least they won't be totally wasted" I shrug and she nods

"Here's your food!" she smiles at me and I thank her walking over to a seat far away from my mothers view

"Eating gluten?" Amanda snorts and I roll my eyes

"My face doesn't get puffy! My mom is just subtly telling me i'm gaining weight" I huff suddenly not feeling hungry anymore, I push myself to at least eat a couple of pieces and some of my mash potatoes that way i didn't waste money

"Amanda what are you doing?" Clay, Amanda's brother walks in and she jumps

"Joining the olympics" she snorts before going back to dying her hair

"I'm going to skin you" he huffs before looking over at her phone

"Hey ziggy" he waves and I wave back

"Hey boss man" I smile and he scrunches his nose

"Don't call me that" he snorts sitting on the counter behind Amanda watching her dye her hair

Clay starts talking about his friends and I zone out looking amongst the crowd of people analyzing where they might be going and why, I was staring at a man in a business suit until i heard a screech

"We're going to Brighton over the summer?" Amanda's jaw is on the floor and her eyes are wide

"Wait huh?" I ask suddenly interested in the conversation

"Clay and I are going to Brighton next weekend!" Amanda smiles and I smile as well

"Lets fucking go!" I exclaim getting some looks from people around me

I quickly put my hands down with a blush creeping on my face from embarrassment causing the siblings over the phone to laugh

"Shut up you two!" I whisper shout and pick up my trash walking over to the nearest bin

"Okay okay" I roll my eyes and let out a light laugh " I have to go now" i sigh and Amanda's smile drops a little

"Aw okay, text me when you land k?" she smiles and I nod saying my goodbye then hanging up

I walk over back to my seat and see Breezy sitting down scrolling through her phone. I sit down next to her for a couple minutes until our plane is called. We take our suitcases and walk over to the boarding line
