"Doctor Grey?" Some nurse yelled
"I'm here!" Meredith ran in
"We need you to do a consult in the ER"
"I'm on my way" Meredith quickly made her way over to where she was needed
Once Meredith was done with the consultation, she started to feel lightheaded and leaned against the wall
"Shit" She muttered "My meds"
"Mer, are you okay?" Alex frowned as he saw how pale she was looking
"My meds, I forgot- I forgot them at home" She swayed slightly
"Shit. I'll page Maggie" Alex said and it didn't take long before Maggie ran up towards them
"Hey, what's going on?" She frowned as she looked at her pale sister
"She forgot her meds" Alex explained
"Okay. Meredith, can you follow me?" Maggie asked and Meredith nodded but she was barely able to lift her feet up so Alex scooped her up and carried her to an examination room where Maggie started taking Meredith's blood pressure, her heart rate and some bloodwork. Maggie asked to have a chat with Alex outside of the room
"She's completely mentally burning up" Alex whispered
"Ellis?" Maggie guessed
"Ellis, Derek and work, yeah" Alex sighed
"When is Derek returning?" Maggie asked
"Haven't you heard? He asked when she could come over" Alex scoffed
"Come over? Has he seen how emotional Ellis has been? Meredith barely has five minutes a day for herself" Maggie frowned
"McDreamy misses his daughter" Alex rolled his eyes
"He can't do that!" Maggie was clearly upset
"I think I'll call Zola" Alex sighed
"Yeah.. yeah" Maggie sighed as she looked at her sister laying in a bed, totally exhausted after everything
...
"Where's mom?" Zola asked as she saw Alex and Maggie standing in the hallway
"M-is m-ommy!" Ellis yelled

"Yeah we'll go see mommy in a bit" Zola explained
Ellis was frowning and decided to run around "M-Mo-mmy!" She threw a tantrum
"Ellis, stay here please" Zola asked
"M-mmmmommy" She cried
"Come on, we'll go see mommy" Alex grabbed Ellis' hand and walked inside "But you need to be quiet, mommy's sleeping" Alex warned her
"S-leep? M-ommy s-slee-p ho-pibal?" Ellis frowned
"Mommy was so so tired that we needed to admit her to make sure she would be okay" Alex explained
"Kay now?"
"She's okay now. Why don't you lay down a bit with your mommy. I'm sure she missed you" Alex said and helped Ellis lay down in the bed beside Meredith
Meanwhile outside Zola and Maggie were talking about what happened
"I didn't know dad was pushing it so bad. Bailey had told me how badly dad wanted mom and Ellis to come" Zola explained when her phone started ringing
"Hi dad"
"Zola, why isn't your mom picking up her phone?" Derek asked
"Mom was called in for an emergency and-" Zola started to explain but Derek interrupted her
"Who's looking after Ellis?" He asked
"I am. We're at the hospital." Zola quickly replied
"Why? Is everything okay with you and Ellis?" He was worried
"We are okay but mom isn't. Dad, she has barely slept, Ellis is a wreck and is destroying mom! You were putting her under even more stress and she forgot her meds. She's okay now because of aunt Maggie and uncle Alex" Zola explained to her dad
"Oh.. I-" He was lost for words "Is she awake?"
"No, she's still sleeping and she needs it. I'm not gonna wake her up. Dad, I can't even imagine what would have happened if I wasn't here or if Alex hadn't found her!" Zola started raising her voice

"Oh god.. I'm so sorry" Derek gasped
"Dad, I understand you want to take care of Nana but mom's here too with Ellis" Zola quietly said
"Nana's cleared, honey.. Nana is in remission" Derek softly said
"Why don't you fly back with Bails and come see mom and Ellie? You can always fly back afterwards dad" Zola said
"ZoZo, I don't know if that's possible, Nancy is the only one who's here" Derek explained
"You demanded it from mom while she was the only one here. I'm sure aunt Nancy can take care of Nana by herself for a bit. Nana's in remission, dad. That's a good thing" Zola tried to reason with her dad
"Can I talk to Maggie or someone there who can explain stuff to me?" Derek asked
"Yeah.. bye dad" Zola said as she handed the phone to Maggie and entered the hospital room where her mom was sleeping, curled up around her sister
Zola took a seat and could see her aunt Maggie's body language and it clearly wasn't an easy conversation between the two of them. Maggie looked very upset as she was slamming her arms in the air
Zola decided to focus back onto her mom and sister who used to work so smooth and all that was left now was 2 exhausted persons

My Isekai
For those not familiar with the isekai genera, this story is about a man waking up in an unknown world. The story follows his journey and life in this world, which does not only look different on the surface, but the common norms and values of this world are very alien to the modern western mindset. How will this average western person respond to such a world, and how will it change him. For those familiar with isekai, this is a western take on a predominantly Japanese story format. It draws a lot of inspiration from Japanese isekai, but it also tries to tackle a lot of tropes that might be annoying to the western mindset. The story is not written for young boys as the story tries to take a mature take on some typical clichés and assumptions made by both the typical writer and reader of the genera.
