Meredith was laying next to Carolyn who was sound asleep, making sure she did what Derek was supposed to do. Give her company and make sure she would be okay if she would start vomiting
"Mer?" Derek's voice was heard in the room while the door opened a bit
"I'm here" Meredith whispered back
"Thanks" Derek sighed
Meredith nodded, knowing he referred to letting him sleep while she watched his mom "How are the kids?" She asked as she walked outside of the room, leaving the door open a bit so they could hear if Carolyn woke up
"Ellis woke me up with her crying-" Derek started but Meredith's frown interrupted him "She's okay now. I gave her the sleep meds to make sure she would be well rested" Derek said and Meredith nodded her head in response
"What time is it?" Meredith asked
"4:30 am.."
"Oh-" She muttered
"Go to bed, I'll watch mom" Derek offered
"Are you sure? I can stay here, I'm not that tired.." She insisted
"I'm sure, Mer. I got a lot of sleep and you haven't had any in the past two days"
Meredith nodded and kissed Derek's lips as her hand braced his neck "I love you, come get me if you're tired" She whispered
"I will. I love you too but now go to bed" He whispered before he entered his mom's room again
Meredith nodded and took off to their bedroom, seeing Ellis asleep on the big bed while Bailey was asleep on the small bed in the corner
She crawled underneath the blankets and cuddled close to her daughter who seemed to be sleeping peacefully
"Goodnight, babies" Meredith whispered to both her kids and let her eyes shut but she couldn't sleep. She was thinking about Derek and Carolyn and the others. She was thinking about how fuzzy Ellis was, hoping she wouldn't have a bad day during their staying and then finally, when sunshine was rising, she fell asleep

"Ellis, let your mom sleep" Meredith could hear Derek's voice
"M- Ma.." Ellis started to cry out "M..Maa"
Meredith groggily opened her eyes and saw her daughter stumbling towards the bed
"Hi" Meredith smiled as she saw her husband smile at her but she winced as Ellis jumped on top of her
"M-omm-mm-y Ellis cried out
"Hey, what's wrong, bug?" Meredith asked
"I'll go check on Bails" Derek said before leaving the room
"N-naa" Ellis moaned
"Nana's doing a lot better. Do you wanna check on her?" Meredith asked
Ellis eagerly nodded her head
"Let's get your out of your aids fist" Meredith said and helped Ellis out of them as the little girl kept yawning
"You didn't sleep a lot, heh?"
Ellis shook her head and Meredith grabbed her hand "But be quiet so we don't wake the others up" Meredith said and the two of them headed to Carolyn's room
"Mom? Can Ellie and I come in?" Meredith asked as she saw her mother in law sitting up, resting her back against the headboard
"Of course" Carolyn smiled and Kathleen left the room
"N-anaa" Ellis smiled and gently climbed on top of the bed
"Careful" Meredith helped Ellis
"Hey, Ellie! I missed you" Carolyn smiled
"N-anaa sick?" Ellis quietly asked
"Yeah I'm a bit sick, that's why I'm in bed. I don't feel well" Carolyn explained
"N-ana kay?"
"I'll be okay, sweetheart" Carolyn said and send a frown to Meredith
Ellis rested her head on the pillow and cuddled closer against her grandmother
"I'm sorry it's been so long since we came over" Meredith sighed "We've been so busy.. Zola leaving, Bailey that's almost leaving too and the care of Ellis that's been taking its toll" She started to explain
"Hey, dear. It's okay" Carolyn smiled and patted the bed so Meredith would join her
Meredith crawled in next to Ellis "We missed you, mom" Meredith smiled
"I missed you too" Carolyn smiled back before closing her eyes

A Tale of the Ages: Gods, Monster, and Heros
The past get's forgotten. Or so they say. Maybe they're right. Even the gods forgot the beginning, the reason it all started. But I refuse to forget, even if I'm driven mad by the memory. Salvation? It's pointless. No one is worth saving, but that doesn't mean they aren't worth helping. No one is a plaything, but everyone's a pawn in this game. I hate it. Who's playing? I don't know. I don't even know what the game really is. I gave up on figuring that out after a time. What I do know is that I want to tell you all a story. It has a beginning, a middle, and an end, as any good story should. But, I really don't think you'd keep listening if I told it in order. So, we will start at three points; you'll have to figure out where they are in the overall story. The story of Hal and instinct, a pair so close that they might as well have been one. The story of The Husk, a creature on a hunt that would span generations. The story of Mask and a hero. How one will come to learn of the other's past and the many faces they had. Do you know where you stand? Do you side with the gods, the hero, the demon king, the experiment, the cursed, the blessed, the monsters, the forgotten? Well? I know.
