Alex had brought the kids over but was paged. He double checked if it was okay for Meredith to watch them for a while
"So when I'm out of here we can go camp on our property, how does that sound?" Meredith asked
"Dad's been promising that for months! It's been so long since our last time" Zola was telling
"F-ish!" Ellie giggled
"Yes! And we can swim! Mommy, can we swim?" Bailey asked with big eyes
"Of course we can swim" Meredith laughed and cuddled her kids
"M-ommy, p-ott-y. M-e p-ott-y" Ellis whispered
"Can a nurse help you?" Meredith asked, knowing she wasn't allowed to stand up by herself as her stats weren't exactly what they had hoped
"No!" Ellie violently shook her head "M-e no-t kn-ow!"
"Shh, calm sweetie. I'm sorry" Meredith felt bad "We'll be right back" She told Zola and Bailey who were watching some clips on their tablet
Meredith held Ellis' hand and helped her on the big toilet.
"You did good by telling me, Ellie" Meredith said, feeling proud of her daughter
Ellis giggled and did her business. Meredith lifted her off the toilet and helped her wash her hands until she felt a wave of dizziness take over
"Ellie, I just- I need to sit down for a bit, okay? Can you ask Zola to page daddy?" Meredith muffled as she fell unconcious
"M-ommy?" Ellis whispered before running back to the hospital room "Zo, m-ommy p- pa- .. p-a-ge d-addy"
Zola looked at her when a frown and at that point Miranda entered the room "Grey, how've you been-" She stopped as she saw Meredith escaped from her bed
"Mommy asked for daddy, she's in the bathroom" Zola told her
Miranda immediately went over to the bathroom and checked Meredith's pulse before running back, trying to seem as calm as possible to not startle the kids

"I need some help in here" She yelled and returned to the kids "Any of you that knows what happened?"
"P-ott-y.. M-e, Ellie p-ott-y. M- M.. M-o- M-ommy h- h- h-elp"
"Mom was helping her using the restroom" Bailey said and grabbed Ellis' hand to calm her down
"Thank you sweetie" Miranda said as her fingers brushed against Ellis' cheeks "Let's get mommy back into her bed" She said and returned to the bathroom as a nurse walked out of the room with the kids
"Now look.. She's overworked and her daughter made her collapse, poor doctor Shepherd" Some nurses were gossiping as Alex walked by
"You better shut the fuck up" He yelled as he ran towards the kids "Hey guys, what happened?" He frowned as he looked at Meredith's room where people were running in and out constantly
"Mommy collapsed in the bathroom" Zola replied
"Did someone page your dad?" Alex asked
Bailey shrugged his shoulders
"I'll page him" Alex said and pulled them into a hug
Alex could hear the heavy breathing of the 3 upset kids
"Hey, your mom is fine" He said with a smile "She just needs a nap now" Alex told them "Wanna go get ice cream?"
"Not really" Zola said as she was fidgeting
"Can we just see mom?" Bailey spoke up
"M-ommy" Ellis whined
"Alex? What's wrong" Derek asked as he ran towards them
"M-ommy" Ellis cried out
"What happened to Mer?" Derek gasped and turned around
"Derek, calm down. She collapsed after helping Ellis to the bathroom. They're helping her back into her bed and they'll hook her up again" Alex informed him
Derek nodded and pulled the kids closer, needing their comfort so badly
"M-ommy kay?" Ellis asked with a tiny voice
"Mommy's gonna be okay" Derek assured her and kissed the top of her head

"M-e f- f-.. Ellie b-ad?"
"Hey, it's not your fault" Derek said as he knew what she was thinking. God, she's just like Meredith "Mommy was just a bit dizzy but she is gonna be okay" Derek said to the kids
"G-o?" G-o m-ommy?" Ellis asked
Derek nodded and lifted Ellis into his arms while Alex held Zola and Bailey's hands
"M-ommy?" Ellis whispered as they entered the room seeing only Miranda left, checking everything a final time
"Hi" Meredith whispered as she craned her neck, only to lower it again as she didn't feel very good
"S- So- So-rry" Ellis whimpered
"Hey, you don't have to be sorry" Meredith said after Miranda lifted up the headrest of the bed
Derek lifted the kids on top of the bed and joined them
"Mer, why didn't you page a nurse?" Derek asked
"Later" Meredith whispered as she noticed Ellis started to tense up, remembering why she didn't page a nurse "Hey, hey" Meredith tried to get Ellis' attention "Derek, grab me her bag" Meredith said and her heart monitor started to rise
"Mer, calm down. I got it" He frowned
"I'm calm!" She snapped and cuddled Ellis into her arms
"Here, Ellie. Take these" He handed her her meds and some water to sip on
"Swallow the water" Meredith reminded her with a soft voice while stroking the little girl's hair
"M-o m- mo- m-ommy" Ellis whined
"Shh, you're good" Meredith whispered as Ellis started to nod off
"Why didn't you page a nurse?" Derek asked as he saw Ellis was asleep
"She didn't want to, okay? What should I have said?" Meredith said, tears pooling up as her two older kids were looking at her
"Mommy it's okay" Bailey cuddled Meredith
Meredith kissed both Zola and Bailey their heads as her heart rate calmed down again
