"Finally home" Meredith sighed as Derek pullen in on their porch
"Let's see who's hungry" Dererek said as he opened his door
Meredith helped Ellis out of her seat and carried her inside, followed by Bailey and Zola
"I'm gonna empty the truck real quick" Derek told Meredith
"I'm gonna boil the pasta for the spaghetti" Meredith said and walked inside "Ellie, do you wanna help me?"
The little girl nodded but seemed to be exhausted. Meredith placed her in the high chair and tilted it slightly back so she wouldn't have to spend energy on holding herself up and could take a nap if needed
"Bailey, Zola, can you put on your pajamas and wash your hands?" Meredith asked
"Of course mommy" They said and ran off to their rooms
"M-ommy?" Ellis whispered
Meredith moved back from the stove and walked to Ellis "What's wrong baby?"
"M-e w-eir-d?" Ellis asked with a trembling lower lip
"Oh baby, don't let them get into your head. You're different but that's no problem. We love you so much"
"N-o" Ellis whispered
"You think we don't love you?" Meredith asked with tears in her eyes
Ellis nodded and this broke Meredith. She took Ellis out of the chair and into her arms and sat down on the stool
"We love you so so much baby. I'm sorry, I should have protected you but I love you as much as your siblings. Ellie, we're never gonna treat you in a wrong way, you're safe here" Meredith kissed Ellis' forehead
"Mer?" Derek walked in, seeing his 2 girls crying "Hey, what happened?" He asked concerned
"Just- Ellie thinks we don't love her" Meredith sobbed
"M-e w-eir-d!" Ellis cried
"Oh Ellie, you're not! Please, believe us" Derek kissed her forehead

"M-e no fw-iend"
"You do have friends. baby! At school no one will judge you and here at home we're all your friends. Even at the hospital you have Harriet, Sofia, Allison and don't forget your uncles and aunts" Derek spoke up
Ellis nodded "Zo, Bay, m-y fw-iend?"
"Let's ask them" Derek smiled
Ellis seemed to tense up. Her legs slightly pulled in, her wrist turning back in an uncomfortable angle. Meredith quickly grabbed them and tried to hold it back until Derek returned with Zola and Bailey
"Go ahead, let's ask them" Derek suggested
"B- Ba- Bay" Ellis whimpered
"Easy, little girl. Otherwise it won't work"Meredith whispered
"B- Bay, Z- Zo, y-ou fw-iend? M-y fw-iend?"
"Of course I'm your friend! Your bestest friend!" Bailey smiled and pulled her into a hug
"Me too!" Zola giggled and joined them
Meredith still had Ellis on her lap and finally relaxed as she saw Ellis smiling again
"Let me take her, I'll get her ready for dinner" Derek offered and took Ellis
Meredith stood up to check on the spaghetti when she felt extremely dizzy again. She barely slept as she kept waking up at night and het comfort thing was checking in on the kids and watch them sleep
"I guess I'll really need to sleep a few hours tonight" She muttered as she shuffles towards the stove and checked on the pasta
"Bails! Zo! Dinner's ready!" She yelled and the kids ran in, closely followed by Derek carrying an exhausted Ellis
Meredith served the food and took a seat. She helped Ellis with scooping up the food which was a hard task since the girl was so exhausted
"Mer, do you need me to take over?" Derek asked
"No, I'll eat once she's done" Meredith smiled and helped Ellis until she was done eating.

"Let me, I'll clean her up while you eat" Derek said and Meredith started eating. It didn't take long until she was finished. She wasn't that hungry but still finished her plate. She was exhausted, just as everyone else from the long day
"Let's get you into your pajamas" Meredith said and scooped up Ellis
"I'll clean the kitchen" Derek gave Meredith a kiss as she walked outside the room, entering Ellis'.
"A quick bath, it will relax your muscles, then we'll do some quick exercises and then we can hang on the couch to watch a movie. How does that sound?"
"Ya! P-op-orn!"
"You want popcorn again? Hmm.. I think you'll have to ask daddy" Meredith laughed and put the girl in the tub and started washing her
Ellis completely relaxed. The tension was washed away off her small and fragile body, cramps disappeared as she moaned softly in pleasure
"This is a good feeling, right?" Meredith smiled
"B-es-t" Ellis softly replied
"Let's stay here for a couple more minutes and then we'll go back" Meredith kissed the top of Ellis' hair
...
It has been a good evening, everyone went to bed early. Meredith woke up around 3am and wanted a glass of water. She shuffled her way to the kitchen until she felt a wave of dizziness taking over. She lowered herself onto the ground and blinked her eyes a couple of times but it didn't go away. She sat there on the cold floor, her back against the wall as she tried to regain balance but it didn't come, instead she was overwhelmed and soon enough everything turned black
