《A Night Under A Thousand Stars》Island Dream

We stood outside talking in Michael's hanger as we waited for our luggage to be put on the planes. Michael of course had his own jet and then I chartered one for family as well so we could all get there at the same time and not worry about people not making it to the Bahamas.
"I am so excited for this," Alisha said, jumping up and down slightly. "Mhm," I said sarcastically, "You just came to be with Jackie," I said smirking. She nudged me trying to hide her smile as me and Josephine laughed teasing her. "Shut up," she mumbled, smiling.
"Especially after your little rendezvous," I said, wiggling my eyebrows. Her and Jackie spent a night together at Neverland. She said they didn't do anything but something had to have happened because ever since she got here, Jackie would not take his eyes off of her.
"For the last time, we didn't do anything! His mom was literally in the room next to mine," she said and I busted up laughing. "Okay see you didn't tell me that, now I believe nothing happened," I said. "Yeah you left that part out," Josephine added.
"Yeah, yeah, enough about me. How's the engaged life?" she asked. "Ugh," I said, rolling my eyes back, "Amazing. I've just been so happy lately like I don't think my smile has left my face."
"Aw, I love that," Josephine said, smiling at me and I giggled. "I'm so happy for you guys. Must be nice having the house to yourselves now huh?" Alisha teased. I laughed nodding as they laughed too.
"What'd you guys do after that night?" Josephine asked and both Alisha and I gave her the same look. "What do you think?" I asked and she laughed. "I should've known. No wonder we didn't see or hear from you," she said, giving me a playful look.
I laughed, "I know! But on a serious note, the day after Christmas, I woke up and Michael wasn't in bed anymore but I didn't think anything of it so I got up and did my whole morning routine and then I found Michael in the kitchen and he was like, "Hey sleepyhead," and I was like what? And that's when I noticed it was quiet and I was like "Where is everyone?" and he was like "They left," and I was so confused," I said as Alisha and Josephine started laughing at me.
"I was like they left? What? And he was like yeah gone and I'm like what time is it and he told me it was 1 o'clock," and my mouth dropped. I hadn't slept in that long in a long time," I finished laughing.
"Yeah, well we wonder why," Alisha said laughing. "Yeah, what time did you go to bed?" Josephine asked, "Like actually go to bed."
I pursed my lips looking down, "I don't know," I mumbled. "Bullshit, you know," Alisha said and I poked my tongue in my cheek, "Fine, the last time I had looked at the clock it was like 6 something," I said and they gasped, "Ashley!"
"You asked!" I defended and they covered their mouths in shock. "Hey, I had just gotten engaged okay. We'll come back to this conversation when y'all two get engaged and see if y'all gasp," I said and they both gave me looks before we all laughed.
I felt a hand go across my back to hold my waist, "Hi baby," Michael said in my ear. "Hi," I said, turning to smile at him. "Hi ladies," he said, nodding at Alisha and Josephine. "Hi Michael!" "Hi MJ!"

Him and I chuckled at them, "Are we all set?" I asked, referring to the jets. "No, we're waiting on Dunk," he said, rolling his eyes. I laughed, "Janet beat me? That's a first," I said and he laughed. "I know, but that's because I woke you up early," he said and I elbowed him playfully.
"Janet's not here?" Alisha asked, looking between the two of us. "No," Michael said annoyed, "She's always late. It never fails. What's up with women and being late?" he asked. "Michael, we're delicate," I said and he frowned. "What does that have to do with anything?"
"A lot actually. Us women like to take our time getting ready and have everything precise," Josephine said joining in. "Exactly. Precise in our hair, makeup, nails, clothes whatever it may be. It takes time for everything to be up to par," Alisha added. He looked between the three of us, "Was that planned?" he asked.
"No," I said as we laughed, "It's just a woman thing," I said smiling at him. "Yeah well then y'all need to start getting ready earlier than," he said and we all rolled our eyes. "You're such a man," I said and he laughed.
"How's being engaged Michael?" Josephine asked, smiling. "It's the greatest thing. I can't wait to actually be married," he said, glancing at me with a smile. "Have you guys decided when?" Alisha asked. We both shook our heads, "No, we've been so busy trying to make sure everything was set up for the Bahamas we haven't had time to actually talk about it yet," I said answering for the both of us.
"Yeah, we'll probably get to work after we come back," Michael added and I nodded in agreement. "Are you guys going to do it yourselves or a wedding planner?" Jo asked. Michael held his hands up, "It's up to her. She wants the big wedding so I'm letting her make decisions as long as I have a tiny say," he said.
I smirked and he spoke again, "If it was up to me, we would've gotten married after Christmas- went to a courthouse and bam, done," he said and all of us scoffed. "Uh, no," I said, shaking my finger as he laughed, "I've been dreaming of getting married since I was little and specifically dreamed of getting married to you so we're going big. It's the only way."
"It's the only way," Alisha added and Michael playfully shook his head at us as a car pulled up and everyone screamed "Finally."
"About time, damn," Michael said, putting his aviators on, "Let's go," he said, grabbing my hand and nodding to Alisha and Josephine to follow.
When we walked up everyone was giving Janet their two cents as she greeted everyone. She turned to us, "Hi Jan," I said, giving her a playful look. "Oh not you too," she said as she hugged me. I laughed, "I'm playing, glad you made it," I said and she smiled going to hug Michael.
"I could choke you," he said as she hugged her. "Ah," she sighed, "Words from my lovely brother," she said, giving him a sarcastic smile. "You're about 45 minutes late," he said looking at his watch. "There was traffic! That's not my fault!" she argued.
He rolled his eyes, "Yeah, well then you should've left earlier. We came from Los Olivos and still made it before you," he said and she waved him off going to greet Alisha and Josephine. "Alright everyone, get on a plane," Michael yelled out loud, grabbing my hand and leading me over to his jet.

I waved Jo and Alisha over to follow as everyone started dispersing into the planes. Michael and I got settled in our usual seats and our plane was mostly filmed with the younger folks. It was Michael and I, Alisha, Jo, Rene, Janet, TJ, Taryl, Taj, Austin, Stacy, and many others. We had all the kids with us basically because the older people said they didn't want to deal with kids on a plane for about 5 hours, but our plane was going to be fun.
And it was. We had music blasting throughout the whole plan and there were several different games going on. One group was playing BS, one playing Clue, some playing Nintendo, and of course Michael and I's group was playing Monopoly.
Right now, I was taking a break to grab a snack and change the music. I wanted to put some rap music on. really get this party started. "What you about to put on?" Alisha asked, coming up next to me. I smiled at her, "DJ Quik," I said as Safe + Sound started playing.
Alisha and I rapped along bumping to the beat as the whole plane started bopping to the beat. "This must be Ashley," I heard Janet say, lifting out of her seat to look at me. "Always," I said, winking at her as Josephine came up to us.
"You're such a rap groupie," Alisha teased. "Rap is revolutionary," I said, making her laugh. "Who's your favorite rapper?" Josephine asked. "Hm, that's a hard one. I love them all, from DJ Quik to Dr. Dre, to Snoop Dogg, Puffy, Biggie, Lil Kim, they're all great," I said, fangirling over them.
"Don't forget Tupac," Alisha said, sipping her drink. I nudged her, "Don't say that name around Michael, I'll get in so much trouble." I said chuckling. She covered her mouth, "I totally forgot you guys got into a fight about him," she said.
I nodded, widening my eyes, "Yeah, he was furious to say the least." Josephine looked between the two of us, "Why?" she asked. "Tupac went on live TV talking about how fine she was and said he was tryna holla at her to take her out," Alisha said for me, "And then Ash met him at fashion week and took a pic with him and Michael found out."
Jo covered her mouth, "You didn't," she said in shock. I cringed, "I did, so bad I know," I said, sipping my drink. "What'd he say to you? I remember the after party when he was there but I didn't know you met him!" Jo whispered while looking around.
Alisha and I scooted closer to her, "He was just real flirty the whole time. I don't remember all what he said but I do remember him telling me to come to his hotel after but I told him I had a boyfriend and I'll never forget the moment he looked me in my eyes and said "I don't see him around," I said and Jo gasped. "Mhm," Alisha hummed.
"No he didn't," Jo said, still in shock. "He did and that's when I was like I gotta get outta here not because of temptation, but I didn't want to give him the wrong impression," I said. "Wow, does Michael know that?" she asked.
I nodded, "Yeah, he made me tell him everything once he saw that picture we took. He was furious. He was throwing stuff. It was crazy. I had never seen him that mad before," I said, chuckling a little. "Seen who that mad before?" I heard from behind me. I widened my eyes at Jo and Alisha. "Shh," I mouthed and they gave me slight nods.
"No one," I said, turning around to face Michael. He squinted his eyes at me, "Mhm," he hummed curiously. "What's up?" I asked, trying to change the conversation. "Nothing, just wanted to see where you were," he said, giving me a smile.
"I was changing the music," I said and he playfully rolled his eyes. "I should've known. You love rap music," he teased. "Rapping is an art Michael. Not everyone can do that," I pointed out. "Very true," Alisha added, nodding.
"I agree," he said, "But not everyone can do what I do either." We all laughed, "I swear you and Ash can be so arrogant sometimes. Y'all know you guys are the best in your line of work," Alisha said and I smirked, "Hey, it is what it is." She playfully rolled her eyes, "I'm going to use the restroom," I said, setting my drink down and starting to walk away. "Don't change the music," I said pointing at Michael walking backwards so I could look at him. He held up his hands and I chuckled going into the bathroom.
I quickly used the restroom and washed my hands looking in the mirror. I dried my hands off and ran them through my hair trying to give it some volume when I heard knocks at the door. "One sec," I said as I tried to fix my hair but they kept knocking.
I sighed, going over to the door to open it and as I did, Michael was right there pushing me back in, kicking the door closed. I walked back further into the bathroom, "What are you doing?" I asked confused.
He smiled walking up to me and grabbing the sides of my waist, "I wanted my fiancee alone for a minute," he said, still smiling. I smiled as he kissed me and as always a rush of adrenaline flowed through my body.
He slowly pulled away, smiling at me as I chuckled, licking my lips. "Can you believe we're celebrating our anniversary?" he asked, still smiling. "No and this time we're engaged. This is so crazy," I said, smiling excitedly too.
"This is going to be fun," he said and I nodded. "It is. Especially to have all of our family with us," I said in agreement. "Yeah, mother is so happy. She can't wait for the anniversary dinner," he said, making us laugh. "Aw, that's sweet," I said.
"She's so happy we're getting married," he said, making me smile even wider. "I know! My mom is too. She's called me everyday since Christmas asking if I had planned anything yet," I said chuckling.
"They're excited," he said and I nodded, "But not as excited as me. That day is going to be the best day of my life." I smiled at him, butterflies erupting in my stomach, "Mine too," I said feeling all giddy. "Oh and also the day our kids are born," he said smiling.
"Yeah, can't forget that," I said, chuckling. He pulled me against him to kiss me. He raised his hand to cup my cheek to deepen the kiss and as we kissed we heard small knocks at the door. "I have to pee! I'm gonna pee on myself!" Ashton yelled through the door making me and Michael separate laughing.
I turned around, opening the door and Ashton rushed in, "Get out!" he yelled at Michael and I. "Sorry, geez," I said as we walked out and we heard him lock the door. "Kids," Michael said, shaking his head. "Oh wait till we have our own. A lot of our little moments are going to be interrupted," I said, licking my lips. He smiled at me as Janet called me over. I gave him a quick peck before going over to Janet who was with Alisha and Josephine.
We had finally made it to the Bahamas and we were on our way to the villa. "Ash, are we almost there yet?" I heard being asked from behind me. The voice was awfully familiar but I didn't want to believe that's who it came from. I looked at Michael and he looked down at me with wide eyes.
I slowly turned around and saw it did indeed come from Ashton. "When did you start calling me Ash?" I asked, feeling slightly hurt. He shrugged, "I'm 7 now," he said nonchalantly. I looked back at Michael with a sad look on my face. He chuckled, cradling my head and kissing my temple.
"He can't stay little forever," he said, chuckling. "Alright, imma tell you the same thing when our kids stop calling you daddy and say dad," I said and he gave me a look as I laughed.
We arrived at the villa and there was champagne upon arrival which was perfect and just what I needed after a plane and car ride with kids on it even though it was a lot of fun.
"Thank you," I said, grabbing a champagne flute. "Psst, sneak me one," TJ whispered in my ear. I looked back at him and looked around grabbing him one, "If someone asks where you got that from, my name better not come out of your mouth," I said playfully and he nodded, taking a sip and walking off in a different direction.
I walked into the villa enamored by the sight. It was beautiful and I was ecstatic that this is where we were going to be spending a whole week for Michael and I's anniversary.
"This is amazing," Janet, Alisha, and Josephine all said simultaneously, coming to stand next to me. I laughed looking at all of them with their champagne in their hands and eyes all wide. Everyone else followed in and said the exact same thing as the girls.
Michael came up next to me, grabbing my hand, "Okay everyone pick a room card," he said holding out room keys in his palms. Everyone ran up making us laugh as they thanked us running off to find their rooms leaving just me and Michael in the living room.
He grabbed my waist, pulling me into him, "Where's our room?" I asked, smiling. He held up the room key, "We have the master," he said, wiggling his eyebrows. "Mm, is that right?" I asked. "Mhm," he said nodding, "And we have a jacuzzi on our balcony."
I gasped, "Well why are we still down here?" I asked, pulling his hand and walking backwards towards the stairs. He laughed following me up the stairs. We passed by everyone in their rooms having fun and mingling with everyone who was across from them.
Michael and I's room was at the end of the hall and around a corner away from everyone and I know Michael did that on purpose to be away from everyone. It was our anniversary week after all and we all know what happens with the two of us.
The closest to our room was Janet and Rene, Alisha and Josephine, and TJ, Taryl, and Taj which was good because we were in close proximity.
Michael opened the door to our room, "Wow," I said looking at the all white bedroom in amazement. It looked so clean and crisp that I didn't even want to sit down or touch anything. "Wow," Michael said, coming to stand next to me. "Right!?" I exclaimed in amusement.
We looked around the room and Michael was going through the drawers with his nosy self. I went out to the balcony admiring the view of the ocean that was like 10 feet away from the villa. There were already people from the family on the beach and I smiled watching them. I walked around the corner and saw the built-in jacuzzi, "Michael, come out here!" I yelled crouching down to feel the warm water.
I felt Michael's hands on my back grasping my shoulders as he teasingly acted like he was going to push me in, "Michael! Stop!" I yelled as he laughed at me, still slowly pushing me down towards the water. "Michael I said stop!" I yelled. He pulled me back up and I hit his leg as he cackled over in laughter, "You are so irritating!" I yelled starting to laugh too.
He tried to help me up, "No, don't touch me," I said getting up on my own and walking away from him. He laughed following behind me, "You just think everything is sooo funny don't you?" I asked, turning around to face him with my arms folded.
He held up a finger, still laughing. I rolled my eyes, "I'm not talking to you," I said, turning to walk out of the room. "No, Ashley....wait," he said, pausing because he was still laughing. I went into Alisha and Josephine's room, "Hey!" They exclaimed at the sight of me.
"What's wrong?" Alisha asked, looking at my facial expression. "Michael. He thinks he's so funny. Almost pushed me in the jacuzzi and we haven't even been here 10 minutes," I said and the both of them laughed but quickly covered their mouths at the looks I gave them.
At that moment Michael walked in the doorway, "Oh look, the guy who thinks everything is funny," I mumbled looking away from him as Alisha and Josephine giggled. He sighed, "I'm sorry," he said, holding in his laugh as I heard his footsteps nearing me.
