"Michael, stop it!" I hissed laughing as I tried unlocking my front door with my key. Michael was making it extremely difficult because he had one hand rubbing the side of my thigh as the other one tried taking off the strap of my crop top.

"We got interrupted this morning," he said in my ear, still touching on me. I finally unlocked the door and we stumbled in. Michael grabbed my waist trying to kiss me, but my alarm started going off so I pulled away before he could to turn it off.

I heard Michael groan as I walked into the kitchen and I heard his footsteps getting closer. I grabbed my stack of mail looking through it as Michael came up behind me. "Bedroom," he whispered in my neck as I opened a few checks. "Can we rest for a few hours? You kept me up all night last night and this morning!" I exclaimed, laughing. "You slept on the plane," he answered back.

"That was literally an hour and it wasn't like it was good quality sleep. I can't sleep on planes. You know that," I said, getting out of his grasp. He groaned again watching me go over to the other side of the kitchen.

"Smiles, Joker! You guy's stuff is all upstairs! We're gonna take off!" Wes yelled from the front door. I walked to the hallway, "Okay, thank you, Wes! See you soon!"

I walked back into the kitchen going back to my mail stack when Michael spoke up. "Who got you these flowers?" he asked, opening the card. I looked up at him confused, "I thought you did?" I asked.

"The happiest of birthdays to you Smiles," he read the card aloud, "No, I'm more creative than that. That's so basic." he said back. I walked over to him and shrugged, "I don't know?"

"Well, it has to be someone you know right? No one knows where you live but family and friends right?" he asked with a slight frown and I nodded, "Yeah, it has to be because they used my nickname."

"Hm. They didn't sign though. That's odd," Michael said, rereading the card to himself. "Very," I said, trying to think of who could've sent me these roses.

I brushed it off going to open the few packages that were sent to me. "Ooo, I love these," I said, opening a new pair of Versace heels sent by Gianni Versace. "Very sexy," Michael commented, watching me and I gave him a look. "You're not talking me into having sex."

Michael laughed. I opened another package that didn't have a return address. I gasped at the gift. "What is it?" Michael asked, walking over to me and I smiled, holding it up. It was a "Marvin Gaye Live!" vinyl from 1974. It was a collection of his songs live that he performed all over.

"Here you go," Michael said, rolling his eyes. I laughed and looked back in the box when I saw an envelope. I opened it and it was a happy birthday card. It read, "As each day passes, I miss you more and more, but on your birthday I miss you the most. Love always."

"Who's it from?" Michael asked, interrupting me from rereading it to myself. "Huh?" I said looking up at him. "I asked who's it from," he reiterated. I looked back down at the card, reading it again.

Michael came over and grabbed it from my hands, reading it. "Who is this?" he asked, looking at me and I shrugged, "I have no idea."

Michael gave me a look, "It's someone you obviously know. Pretty bold way to say " I miss you," he said in quotes. "I swear to you, I have no idea. It's not signed. How am I supposed to know?" I said using my hands.

"I wonder if it's the same person who sent the roses," I said looking up at him. Michael exhaled and tossed the card back in the box. "Maybe," he said, looking visibly stressed. I walked over to him. "You know I love you right? Not who is sending me these gifts. They might miss me but I obviously don't if I don't even know who it's from."

Michael shyly nodded and smiled looking down at his feet. "Okay, good," I said, caressing his cheek before I walked away to throw the junk mail in the trash. I turned to walk upstairs to unpack, when Michael smoothly grabbed my hand. I looked at him and he smiled seductively at me. "Why don't you show me how much you love me," he said, picking at his bottom lip.

I threw my head back laughing, "You just don't stop, do you!" I exclaimed walking up the stairs. Michael followed me, "I do, but at the moment I just choose not to," he said leaning in my bedroom doorway.

I mentally decided to unpack tonight, so I started undressing to change into a big t-shirt and some shorts. As I undressed to my bra and panties, I heard Michael walk in. "I knew you couldn't resist," he said, walking up to me. I put my hand up on his chest, stopping him. "I'm going to sleep," I said, giving him a look as I pulled up my shorts.

"You're no fun," Michael said, watching me crawl into my bed. I didn't respond, but I heard Michael undressing. "Just no fun at all," he added, getting in bed next to me. I opened my eyes to see him lying down, facing me. "I'll remember this when you want me next time," I said to him smartly.

He rolled his eyes as I closed mine, chuckling to myself. It was quiet for a while before I spoke. "Michael," I said softly. I didn't get a response so I opened my eyes and saw him knocked out. I shook my head laughing. He went through all that trouble to fall asleep before me.

I sat up to turn the movie off that Ashley picked out for us to watch. It hit me that Ashley never came back to watch the movie with me. Where is she?

I stood up and stretched going to look for her. She had gotten a phone call from someone and never came back. That was over an hour ago. I watched the whole movie by myself and it was a movie she begged me to watch. Smh, girls.

I walked into the kitchen and she wasn't there, so I walked towards my bedroom. I walked in and saw my bathroom light on. I slowly made my way towards it and when I got to the doorway, Ashley shut the light off to walk out.

She screamed when she bumped into me. "God! What did I tell you about sneaking up on me!?" she exclaimed, trying to catch my breath. I laughed and moved out of her way. She walked over to bed to put her shoes on. I went over and sat next to her. "You look pretty," I said, playing with her necklace as she bent down to put her heels on.

"Thank you," she said sweetly, looking up at me. "Wait, where are you going?" I asked with my brows furrowed. She didn't say anything, she just stood up, grabbed her purse, and smiled at me before she left my room.

I cocked my head to the side. Did she forget who I am? I got up quickly and followed her down the hall. When we got by the front door, I grabbed her arm gently, "Didn't you hear me? I said where are you going?" I asked confused.

She looked down at her watch on her wrist and opened her mouth to speak, but the doorbell rang. I didn't pay it any mind, I continued to look at her waiting for to say what she was about to say.

Why was she acting so weird? She was fine this morning, even when she left to take that phone call. Who did she talk to?

"Oookay, since you're not going to answer that question, who called you?" I asked folding my arms. The doorbell rang again and I sighed, going to answer it. I opened it to reveal Dunk.

"Hi, what took y'all so long to answer the door?" she said, giving me a quick hug. "No reason," I said, watching her hug Ashley.

"Ready?" she asked, looking at Ashley and Ashley nodded before looking at me. "Where are you guys going?" I asked them, raising an eyebrow. "Just a little girl's day," Janet said, linking arms with Ashley.

Why didn't she tell me that? I wouldn't have minded her hanging out with my sister as long as they weren't going out clubbing, because I've seen those two together tipsy and they just don't know when to limit themselves. They turn into wild beasts.

"Oh. Okay," I said looking at Ashley. Janet pulled them to the door, "Bye Mike. We'll be back," Janet said, blowing kisses. I gently grabbed Ashley's arm again, stopping them. Janet looked at me and sighed. "I want to say bye to my girlfriend."

Janet playfully rolled her eyes, "I'll be in the car, Ash." Ashley nodded and I walked up to her. "Why are you acting weird? You could've told me you were hanging out with Dunk. I wouldn't have minded," I said, giving her a reassuring smile. "I don't know, I'm sorry. I should've told you," she said pouting, making me chuckle.

I hugged her, "Where are you guys going anyway?" I asked pulling back. "I'm not too sure, but I know we're going shopping." I nodded and hugged her again, cradling her head.

"Okay, well have fun. I love you," I said leaning in to give her a kiss. She smiled into the kiss. I turned our innocent kiss into something more, but Janet interrupted us by honking her horn. We looked at her and she threw her hands up. "She's coming!" I yelled to Janet as Ashley turned back towards me and laughed.

"I gotta go," she said laughing, " and I love you too." I smiled at her and gave her another peck. "Be safe! Call me when you guys are on your way back," I said watching her walk out the front door. She gave me a thumbs up before getting in the passenger seat.

I watched Janet drive off and I don't know, but something told me those two were up to something.

"Definitely those ones," Janet said pointing to the heel I had on my left foot. "I think so too," I said checking them out in the mirror once again. Janet's phone rang and she excused herself while I gave the heels to the clerk to put with the rest of my stuff I was buying.

I walked over to the jewelry counters and while I eyed a ring I liked, Janet came up to me. "So..." Janet said, looking at the jewelry too. "So..." I repeated, knowing she wanted to ask me something. "The kids just told me that there is this event tonight at this club and a bunch of people are going. Want to go?" she asked.

"Um, duh!" I said excitedly. "Okay yay, so I'm going to call them back to tell them to put us on the list." I nodded, watching her walk away as Brandon, the jewelry clerk, came over, "I've been watching you eye that princess cut eternity band. Would you like to try it on?" he asked with a flirtatious smile.

I smiled at him, "Yes please." He opened the cabinet with his key and took it off the stand and gestured for me to put his hand in mine. I gave him my hand and he slid it on my index finger. I pulled my hand away, falling in love with this ring.

"It looks beautiful on you. You should definitely get it," he commented. I looked up at him and back down at the ring, "I think so too." I took it off my finger and gave it to him to ring up. "Beautiful ring for a beautiful girl," he said as I gave him my credit card.

I smiled and Janet came over. "Stop flirting back with him. Mike will kill you," she mumbled under her breath. "Janet, I got this. Watch," I said looking back at Brandon giving him a smile.

He walked back over to me with my card and a small bag. "Here you go, Ms. Richmond. I entered my personal discount and saved you a little money."

I looked at Janet and smirked before turning to him with a smile. "Thank you so much, Brandon," I said slightly flirty. He smiled nervously at me. I could tell I was making him nervous. "I'll come back and ask for you," I said, winking at him. "O-okay," he said, stuttering.

Janet and I walked away laughing quietly. "You are something else," she said as we went to pay for our clothes and shoes.

We left the store and grabbed a quick bite to eat at The Ivy. We were bombarded with paparazzi and because they sat us outside, paparazzi kept taking our pictures from across the street. "Have you talked to Mike?" Janet asked, sipping her water. I shook my head, "No. I'm actually surprised he hasn't called."

"You should call him. Let him know we're fine so he doesn't flip out when you tell him we're going out," Janet said looking over the menu. "I will when we get back to the car."

Janet and I finished eating and I paid for our bill since she was driving. We were in the car on the way to her house when I decided to call Michael. "Okay, it's ringing," I said, putting the phone on speaker. It rang three times before he answered.

"Hi baby. On your way back?" he asked. I gritted my teeth looking at Janet and she widened her eyes. "Hey. Um no, Janet and I are still out. We just grabbed a quick bite to eat and now we're on our way to her house."

"Oh," Michael said and I chuckled nervously. I looked at Janet and she mouthed, "just tell him." "When do you think you guys will be back?" he asked after a short period of silence. "About that. I was wondering if you're okay with me going out with Janet tonight to this event she got invited to?"

"It's nothing big, Mike. Just a couple of people I know," Janet said, trying to downplay we were going to a club. If he knew, he would've straight up said no. Michael didn't say anything for a while. I bit my nail waiting for him to respond. "Yeah, that's fine. I'll just see you when you get back then," he responded.

"Tell him!" Janet whispered and I exhaled. "Yeah, but you don't mind if it gets late and I end up crashing at Janet's do you?" I asked, gritting my teeth nervously again. It went silent again and I cringed to myself. He knows something is up.

"Uh n-no. No, just as long as you are safe," he said, stuttering. Janet scoffed, "Thanks for being so concerned about me." I heard Michael chuckle, "You too, Dunk."

"Okay, so I'll either see you tonight or tomorrow," I said to him. "Yeah-yeah, I guess so."Janet cheered quietly and I smiled knowing I got somewhat off the hook. "Okay, I'll call you later then."

"Please do. Be safe, the both of you please. Smiles, I love you," he said sadly and I could tell he really wanted me to come home tonight. I looked at Janet, poking out my bottom lip and she shook her head, "No, you're coming," she whispered.

"We will Mike," Janet answered for us. "Okay, I'm trusting her with you Dunk," he said sternly and Janet gave him her word. "Smiles, take me off speaker," he said softly and so I did.

"Yeah?" I asked. "Be safe, please. Don't drink too much, I mean it," he scolded. "I won't," I said, trying to assure him. I had already made my mind up that I was going to get tipsy tonight.

"Okay, I love you," he said once more. "I love you too," I said smiling and Janet fake gagged. "I feel like I'm going to be sick. I'm trusting you though," he said, making me laugh. "Michael, stop being so dramatic," I said laughing.

"I'm not," he said laughing, "Okay, I'll let you go. Bye baby," he said sweetly. "Bye."

I hung up and looked at Janet. She gave me a high five as we squealed. "We actually pulled it off," Janet said, pulling into her driveway. "I know! I could tell he didn't want to let me go, but he did!" I said excitedly. "Invite Alisha!" Janet said, opening her door. "Ooo, good idea! I'll call her right now!"

After getting all glammed up and taking a couple of shots of Don Julio 1942, we were on our way to 1Oak in West Hollywood. We were escorted through the club to our table by the promoter. We had a good table right next to a pole. I looked at it and smiled thinking back to my college days when I used to club damn near every night of the week and I always ended up on the pole.

"You're getting on that tonight," Janet whispered, sliding in the booth next to me. I chuckled at her, "You're going to have to get a few more drinks in me before I get up there."

She laughed and all of the kids, her dancers, came up to our table. "Booty!" they exclaimed, giving her hugs. I smiled watching her. "Guys, there is someone I want you to meet," she said, leading them closer to the table, "This is Ashley. I'm sure y'all all know who she is but she's also my best friend," she said, gesturing to me.

I chuckled and stood up, "Hi guys!" I said, smiling at all of them. They all introduced themselves and her dancer, Sean Chessman, kissed my hand flirting with me. "The runway does not do you justice," he said flirting. "Sean get away from her!" Tina said, pushing him away causing me to laugh.

"My brother will kick your ass over her and I'm not gonna say shit," Janet said looking at him. "Your Mike's girl?" he asked and I looked at Janet for help. "No, but he'll still kick your ass over her," Janet said, saving me.

We all sat down and started drinking, conversing with one another. I stuck with tequila since Michael told me not to get drunk. If he hadn't said that I would've switched drinks already.

We all were having a lot of fun. The kids told me a lot of their funny tour stories and how they always mess with Janet. They all loved Janet, you could tell. And she loved them all back. Tish and Tina were some of her best friends.

"Okay, shots everybody! Grab two!" Tish said coming back with a tray of shots. Janet handed me two. "Okay, cheer--" Tish was cut off by Shawnette. "Wait, y'all I need a chaser," she said, smelling the shot glasses. We all laughed, "Wimp," Sean teased her before he winked at me.

"Sean! Don't even look in Ashley's direction!" Janet scolded laughing. I laughed with her. "Hey, I can't help it when I see a beautiful girl."

"Sean shut up. Back to the shots," Tina yelled out and we all put our two glasses in the air. "CHEERS!" Everyone yelled clinking their glasses. I downed mine like a pro and they all whistled at me. "Okay, we got a pro over here," Tish said, clapping. They all clapped at me.

"She's not new to this. She used to be a party animal," Janet said looking at me as she sipped her vodka strawberry. "You did!?" they all asked and I nodded. "Sure did. I was known as USC's top socialite. I took pride in that title too," I said, smirking. "Get a few more drinks in me and I'll be on that pole."

"Waiter!" Sean yelled, causing us all to laugh.

An hour later, it was safe to say I surpassed tipsy. Sorry Michael.

I left the dance floor because I spotted Alisha. I walked up to her and laughed. "You look so fucked up," I said and nudged me playfully. "You too bitch."

"Where's Ash?" I asked, looking around. Alisha's face dropped, "I thought she was with you," she said hesitantly. "I thought she was with you!" I said panicking. "No, I haven't seen her in about an hour!" she said panicking now too.

"Okay, let's split up. You go that way and I'll go this way," I said pointing to the sides of the club. "Okay,'' she said, panicky. "If you run into any of the kids, tell them we can't find her!" I said as she ran off. "Okay!" she yelled back.

I ran off to the left side of the club, looking for Ashley. I separated groups of people looking for her causing a ruckus because I was Janet Jackson. I ignored them and continued to look for Ashley. I was hot and now I was getting sweaty. I was too drunk for this.

And how in the hell was I going to tell Mike I lost his girlfriend when I promised him I would look at her. This is making my head hurt on top of the alcohol.

"Jan!" Tina exclaimed, trying to get me to dance. "No! We can't find Ashley!" I said looking around. "What?" she asked loudly, getting the attention of more of the kids. They all came up to me, "What's wrong?" they asked. "I can't find Ashley," I said breathlessly.
