The fight was still going on strong as loud cheers came from Valhalla's side because of the stunt Keisuke pulled on Kisaki.
"Baji-kun!" Takemichi shouted out of concern for the black haired boy when after seeing him get thrown away by Kisaki's vice captain.
"First was Hanagaki then Baji..." the boy with glasses muttered under his breath after standing up. Blood can now be seen trailing down his face from his head.
"The hell's their problem?" He asked in a deep voice while clearly showing contempt in his eyes due to the bubbling anger he's currently feeling for the two teens he brought up.
He glared daggers at Keisuke. "Seriously, if it weren't for [Y/n], I might have long..." he clicked his tongue and didn't finished his sentence as the girl's face he mentioned came in mind.
"Vice captain." He first called to the stoic man standing beside him before stating something threatening. "You're dead if you space out again."
"I'm sorry, sir!" The guy instantly apologized as he hears his superior speak up again in the same authoritative voice.
"Don't underestimate Baji, but be sure that you don't end up killing him or you'll go with him, too." Kisaki nonchalantly states, a scoff erupting from him the next when he felt the said boy's burning stare on the back of his head.
"After all, the purpose of this battle is to take him back." He raised his hand to wipe the blood away on his face using the sleeve of uniform as he spoke once more.
"It'd be all for naught if he does indeed get himself killed."
He finished with a frown on his face before turning his head and body to completely face the person he's talking about.
'I don't want [Y/n] to be sad over an idiot's death.'
Keisuke couldn't help but to harden his glare with such a cold look in his eyes, though at the same time, confusion could be seen on it.
'Is he acting or...?' He shook his head and finally stood up with a grin that showed the fangs of his teeth.
"Kisaki!!" He shouted the third division of Toman's captain loudly while getting ready to charge at him again but seeing Chifuyu's figure appear in front of him was enough for him to halt in his movements.
"Chifuyu..." he trailed off, his nose lightly scrunched up. "The fuck you doing?"
[Y/n] continues to watch as Keisuke hit his blonde friend with same metal pipe in his hand. Her nose scrunched up for a moment but the scary scowl on her face was still present.
Even though she couldn't hear the two boys' conversation, she already has the knowledge on what they're talking about, credits to for her being a reader.
'I can't believe my memory's only good at this kind of things.' She huffed out with her lower lip slightly stuck out. 'It's useful but I just wish that it'd also be the same when I'm in school.'
She soon let out a small hum when her eyes caught the attention of a person who was on a phone despite the sea of delinquents on the ground. It was a Valhalla member.
'Who the hell's that idiot?'
Was the question that lingered in her mind after glancing at the delinquents who's still fighting one another for just a second and shifting her gaze back to the same person.
'Why would he be on a phone when there's literally a fight going on?'
She slightly tilted her head to the and came up with different theories about the said person but seeing him take out something that glinted under the sun's bright light from the inside of jacket, it made her to immediately stand up from her seating position.
And seeing her abrupt action caused for her friends and some people close by to shift their eyes on her though only for a moment since they went back to watching the intense fight between two gangs.
Now, only her friends was focused on her.
"What the hell...?" They heard her say with a disturbing look on her face whilst her eyes that looked slowly went wide as she continued to focus her gaze to a certain direction.
Paying more attention to her now, it seems she's startled by something and they can't help but be perturbed by her sudden behavior.
"What's wrong?" The white haired boy was the first to ask among the four with narrowed eyes. He doesn't get any answer from the girl but when he saw her form falter, he immediately stood up and went closer to her.
"[Y/n]?" Now it was Kakucho's voice who called out to her. They each looked at the [h/c] female who clearly looked distressed in their eyes.
'Kazutora...got stabbed.'
Was something that went through her mind with her head low as she starts to break bullet like sweats on her face while her friends now see what got her into such a state.
'How come it's such a familiar sight.'
Her lips that was agape, trembled ever so slightly and not too long, she closed her mouth and pursed her lips which caused for a thin line to form on it.
'Just what is this strong sense of deja vu?'
She swallowed the lump in her throat and raised her head slightly to get a small glimpse of her friend. She flinched when she saw Keisuke gently lay their friend down with tears streaming down his face.
Her own question made her tense up and froze on her spot. She felt her blood run cold while feel the sickening feeling in her stomach.
"No, please! Don't die!"
She hear her own voice as the image of her crying and pleading flashed in her mind. It made her heart beat even more loud and fast before it got all replaced by a ringing sound that everything started to come out as muffled for her.
'I don't want to experience that same kind of pain all over again.' She starts to pant as her breathing gets ragged. 'I don't think I'll be able to handle it...'
Her sea like thoughts stopped when she comes to a realization about something as she mumbled under her breath.
"Huh?
This time, [Y/n] held a thunderstruck and perplexed look on her face. Her eyes became hazy while her mind became clouded as she suddenly went into a trance with a heavy feeling swirling her chest.
With her mind now empty, all she could ask in a whispering voice was, "What did I just say?"
Earlier...
"Huh? The one who kills Baji-san..." Takemichi mumbled as his arms was locked around Keisuke's waist. "Isn't Kisaki, but..."
His eyes widened when he realized that the person he's been looking for wasn't beside Mikey now but..

"Kazutora?!" The raven haired boy called out in a thunderstruck expression when he felt his friend's presence from behind.
'What's going on?!' Takemichi internally exclaimed with pupils now dilated. 'But I thought it was Baji-kun's who's supposed to get stabbed not–'
"Kazutora!" His thoughts was caught off by Keisuke's yelling voice. Now, Takemichi was back and focused on what's happening again.
As he witnessed by his own two eyes, Kazutora Hanemiya was stabbed by someone unknown.
Even though the knowledge he gained in the future and the conversation he and [Y/n] had just last week regarding about what's supposed to happen today...was completely different.
"The fuck's your deal, you bastard?" The dual toned boy snarled to the unknown guy with a sharp and icy gaze while his now bleeding hands was gripping the knife that sunk on his stomach.
With clenched teeth, Keisuke finally got Takemichi off and away from him the moment he felt his arms loosen around his waist, and he wasted no time by pulling Kazutora towards him and kicked the person who harmed his friend on the stomach hard.
Said person flew away from the car after he coughed out blood. He fell on the ground with a roll or two before passing out.
"You idiot." The raven haired blurted out before gently laying his friend down and glancing at the knife that was on his stomach which had blood seeping out and staining his clothes red.
'Damn it, what the hell's going on here...' Takemichi panted while still in the middle of trying to process what just happened. 'I'm glad Baji-kun's alive but Kazutora-kun is...'
His lips lightly trembled. 'It's all messed up!' He screamed inside his head after shutting his eyes tight.
"Hehe, my body moved on its own." Kazutora's voice snapped the blonde boy out of his trance. No one then spoke among the three of them for the past few seconds.
"...Guess this is it for me." The same person spoke, now breaking the silence that surrounded them as he adds,
"Maybe this is for the best."
A small chuckle erupted from him, though he soon regretted that when he felt a burning pain on his stomach. It made him give out a hiss, and seeing him in pain made his black haired friend feel guilty.
Kazutora flashed a smile them said. "Ya know, dying doesn't seem so bad..."
His words felt sad for them to hear that it didn't fail to have tears well up in their eyes that's why Keisuke said a remark.
"Don't say that." Tears escaped the black haired boy's eyes as he adds with a, "You ain't gonna die. If you're just gonna speak nonsense then stop talking."
"Baji-san!" Chifuyu shouted while in the middle of climbing on the cars to get closer to them. When he finally arrived, he was panting.
After catching his breath for a short second, his gaze went to the boy who was lying on top of the car's hood. He gave a sympathetic look especially when he saw his former captain shedding tears.
"I-I called the ambulance!" He finally informed while wiping the sweat away on his face using the sleeve of his uniform.
Keisuke thanked him then turned his head back to his other friend with a smile that was faltering ever so slightly.
"See? You ain't gonna die. Help will be here soon."
Kazutora only quietly stared at the blue sky before he opened his mouth to speak again. "Thank you for everything, Baji." His words made his friend tense up.
"No matter what you said, you always.." a tender smile adorned the dual tone haired boy. "Stuck with me." He finished with a pleasant hum making for Keisuke to grit his teeth as he felt helpless in just watching his friend bleed and be close to death's door by every second that passes by.
"What the hell's taking that damn ambulance so long?!" He burst out with anger in his eyes which caused for Chifuyu to flinch and scramble to get his phone again and dial the number he called earlier before once more.
"You like [Y/n], too, right?" Kazutora's sudden inquire made the boys except for Keisuke to look stunned.
The person who asked the question only showed a smile that was genuine. "Take care of her." His gentle words caused for his friend's lips to tremble.
"...As if I wasn't already doing that, dumbass." Came a remark from Keisuke with a smile that was wavering as more tears streamed down his face.
Kazutora laughed softly before going on, "That's good." He replied with a graceful smile accompanying his words before closing his eyes to feel the soft breeze.
"Mikey, too." He spoke again after a moment of silence. "I know that he won't forgive me because of what I did to his older bro...and [Y/n] will continue to hate me as well for that but still.." he showed another smile that reached his eyes this time.
"Can you tell them I'm sorry?"
"...Tell me that yourself." Mikey said with an indecipherable emotion on his dark eyes while Takemichi muttered said boy's name with teary eyes.
Tumps could be heard whenever the blonde boy's feet would make contact against the cars' metal hoods or trunks when climbing it all up like stairs to reach them.
"I wanted to kill you as soon as you got of juvie for what you did to my brother." He admitted, voice calm and quiet while still moving forward to their direction.
"Since it's because of you, he's in that condition."
He coldly gazed at Kazutora after licking the blood that trailed down on his lips from his head. It was still be hard to decipher the look he gave but they all could somewhat point out that their friend was...sad.
"But because of Baji..." he trailed off as he was now close enough to them. "And [Y/n] convincing me not to, I didn't." He finished while seeing the spark in the eyes of the dual tone haired boy.
"Don't die, Kazutora." He told him after turning his back. The said boy's eyes glistened as more tears left his eyes while Mikey goes down.
"Ken-chin." He called out to his right hand man quietly while all eyes was focused on him. "This fight is over."
"Huh?!" Hanma was the first to react. "Hey, Hey! The fight's over?!" He repeated with an annoying smile accompanying his words as he approached Mikey and towered over the shorter boy.
"You tryin' to fuck with me, Mikey?" He spreads his arms with a grin that showed his teeth while the person he's talking to had no emotion or whatsoever on his face.
"That's not something you get to decide, bitch!"
That was the last thing Hanma said as he was knocked out by Mikey's infamous kicks with a loud Bam.
"See?" The blonde boy said, voice still quiet and calm which caused shivers to run down on several delinquents' spines. "It's over."
Back to Kazutora...
"Kazutora..." Keisuke bit his lower lip before letting out a sigh. "[Y/n] never hated you." He informed the boy who's ears seemed to have perked up while he gave an incredulous look yet with a look of relief.
"Each time I write a letter to send it to you during your two years in juvie," he paused as his lips curled up into a tender smile. "[Y/n] would also write hers. I'd copy her letter and put it on mine and make it sound like I wrote it too, so you wouldn't recognize that it's her."
Kazutora remained silent as his friend still smiled at him. "[Y/n] thought...that it was you who hated her, that's why she's been hesitant to approach you."
Back to the present.
"Kazutora!!"
Keisuke smiled with melancholy in his eyes after hearing the familiar voice of the person they've been talking about.
"But despite those thoughts, [Y/n] still considers you as her friend and worried about you constantly."
After the raven haired teen's statement, he ended it with a kind smile while his friend wondered about the look he showed, and before he could think deeply about it, his attention went to the person who called his name a while ago.
[Y/n]'s eyes was dilated and unfocused. It was the first time for Kazutora to see the usual calm and collected girl be completely different to what he'd always see.
She had that look of dread and desperation in her eyes while saying in a quiet voice, "Don't die." She gently took his hand in hers and gave it a light squeeze.
"I don't hate you. I never did." She quickly told him as her hold on his hand tightens a bit more. "If anything, it was myself that I hated..." [Y/n] raised her head to finally look at the boy after mustering up the courage to do so.
"I'm sorry, Kazu. I'm sorry.." she apologized with a smile and a heartbreaking expression. "I'm sorry for making you feel that way. You can hate me, okay? Just please..." she shut her eyes, now feeling ashamed to be looked at as her voice came out shaky.
"Don't die."
"[Y/n]-san..." Takemichi muttered. He hung his head low, ashamed to even look at the girl's face as he thinks of himself a failure.
'I think...I pleaded so desperately like this before...'
"Earlier, I recalled the time when we all first met...it was my birthday and you treated Baji and me some ice cream." She opened her eyes to see Kazutora's smiling face. It was endearing.
He raised his other free hand to wipe away the trail of blood that she caused when she bit her lips. It was drying on her chin.
"Then you told me, 'since we're friends now let's celebrate your birthday next year again. I promise you that I'll buy you cake!'" Kazutora finished with another soft laugh.
"I forgot to tell you, that day was the happiest day...the happiest birthday I've ever had since it also marks the same day of when I first met you two."
Keisuke wipes his tears away while [Y/n] nods her head and say, "I feel the same, and I'm still planning on fulfilling my promise." In a soft voice she did while mirroring his lovely smile.
"Next year, huh?" He muttered before showing a toothy grin. "I'm looking forward to it..but right now, I'm really...craving some..ice cream."
"...Then don't sleep, dumbass." Keisuke chuckled after a small sniffle came from him. "You need to help me pester her or else she won't treat us."
The [h/c] girl gave a small nod of her head to agree with the black haired boy's words.
"Next time.." Kazutora replied, his eyelids slowly closing. "I'm really...sleepy right now..sorry, Baji...[Y/n]...."
'...But it didn't worked.'
Their smiles slowly disappeared when the girl felt her friend's hand slip out of her grasp and fall.
'Kazutora laid on the ground, blood coming out of his stomach while we cry...the only difference is the clothes he's wearing in that...memory. It was a Toman uniform instead of Valhalla..'
Just like how Keisuke felt, she felt her heart drop to her stomach. Her blood ran cold again when her friend didn't move or at least say anything even though his name was being called many times by her and Keisuke.
'I'm not sure if I should describe it as a vision since it felt more like...a memory.'
She drew a sharp breath before standing up. She heard Takemichi call out to her name with a confused yet worried expression on his face but she doesn't respond to his call.
'Oh, to hell with those annoying puzzles.'
She clenched her jaw and teeth. It made veins show and pulsate on the side.
'All they did was make me ask more questions...because of those shitty things...The ending played out the same again.'
The blonde boy noticed the hollow look in her eyes and he couldn't help but to shudder as the hair on his arms stood up.
'Just like the previous ones...this is my fault yet '
She slightly turned her head when he heard someone groan and mutter a curse. The guy who stabbed Kazutora was now awake.
'I don't know what's happening with my memories lately, just like now...Ah, I don't really give a fuck about it as of the moment, even though I know for a fact that..I shouldn't just casually brush it off, but....'
