《Remember | Tokyo revengers》「35」- Investigation

"Excuse me."
A polite voice called out to a tall teen who has the standard bleached delinquent pompadour. Said guy turned around to see the person who disturbed him when they should just be minding their own damn business.
"Huh?" Nobutaka Osanai. "The hell you want?" He glowered as his narrowed menacing eyes scanned the person he was now facing. A boy who's about the same age as him, possibly a year younger.
But what's a guy with mellow eyes and a kind smile called him for? To ask him for directions? What a joke – No...there's something off with this person despite his gentle and soft features.
He gave off a dangerous vibe, and since Osanai's a delinquent, he's seen a lot of guys from different gangs — people, but of course...not that much.
The person before him may seem nice but he's not your typical guy to mess with. He seemed uncanny and if you looked closer into the boy's dark brown eyes, you'll feel how sinister it is.
"Haha, you're rude." Masashi laughed. "As expected of a delinquent." He adds, his smile somewhat mocking with a hint of disgust in his dark eyes as Osanai notes.
And that same delinquent boy hates being looked down on and because of that, a visible scowl showed on his already intimidating face but the raven haired boy continued to smile.
He felt his blood boil for not being taken seriously —respected. Having the feeling of wanting to beat the guy into a pulp, Masashi let out a small hum and disturbs Osanai's dangerous thoughts.
"Anyways, I'll try to make this quick since it seems like we can both agree that we already dislike each other despite this being our first meeting." Masashi laughed while fixing the left side arm of his sleeve.
"You're Osanai, right?" He starts with that question first. "You see, there's this person who wants you to work with them." Masashi loosens the tie of his uniform and raffles his hair which was
"If you do, you'll be able to have whatever you want."
Osanai motions for his head to let the boy continue while looking suddenly interested in hearing him out.
"As long as you follow everything we say, we'll have no problems." Masashi smirked with mischief glinting in his eyes. "I'll be responsible with delivering the messages to you on what you need to do from them since as I've said, they're quite a busy...guy."
The boy raises his hand to put it on top of Osanai's shoulder, smirk widening. "Make sure to follow our words because the outcome is what we need or else we've all just wasted our energy on nothing." He said, hand moving to pat the blonde's shoulder.
"Huh..." Osanai warily stared at the mischievous boy first before opening his mouth. "Since you're just some lackey, wanna tell me who's this person I'm gonna work with?"
Hearing his question obviously meant that he's in and that didn't fail to make Masashi's smile widen. It seemed creepy but the laugh he let out annoyed the faux blonde boy.
"That's harsh." The black haired pouts. "I'm someone who's very close to them, you know?" He scratches the back of his head with a sheepish smile.
"Try to treat me with a little respect, Osanai-chan." He adds making Osanai's expression to darken even more.
Masashi only lets out a bubbly laugh before flashing a beaming smile. "Don't mess up, okay?" He said then took a step back.

"Ah, it's rude of me to leave with your question unanswered." The boy snickered. "Sorry, I'm quite in a hurry." He apologizes in a polite tone as the wind softly blows and passes them both.
"Let me answer your question real quick as you do have the right to know." He says with a smile that reaches his eyes while Osanai lets out a scoff.
"Tetta Kisaki."
Masashi answered after a moment of silence. His voice went slightly deep and quiet that it sent chills on Osanai's body.
"That's the person's name who wants to work with you." The black haired teen continued with a hum, as his smile widening. "Word of advice, don't approach the guy even if you see him."
While the delinquent shakes the bad feeling away, he hears Masashi's annoying voice again. "We can't have you blowing his cover."
Beaming a smile once more, the boy starts to skip away after saying in a bubbly tone, "Well, bye~!"
Osanai continues to stand in the same spot as Masashi's figure gets smaller and smaller the further he got away from his sight.
"Creepy asshole." He mumbled under his breath, a cold sweat trailing down his head after processing what just happened.
With a small click of his tongue, he starts or continues his walk on the opposite direction.
Maybe he shouldn't have accepted...
...
Masashi stops in his tracks and takes out his phone in his pocket. He dials a certain number and after it rang three times, someone finally answered.
"Got the bastard you were asking for." Was the first thing the boy told the person on the other line before letting out a deep sigh.
"You know how much I hate delinquents." He sighs out once again. "They're so full of themselves. They think they're hot shit when they're not." He said while scratching the back of his head as his father comes in mind.
"If it wasn't for the fact that you're busy right now, I wouldn't even spare a single second or breath on that guy." Masashi turns his head on the side to examine how he looks on a store's glass.
"Whatever, it's no use complaining about it since it's done anyways." He takes out a comb from his bag and run it through his black hair. "Well, I'm hanging up now since [Y/n]'s waiting for me at the library."
The smile returns back on Masashi's face. "It's bad making a lady wait." Right after he said those words, he heard cursing and threatening words from the person.
"Ahaha~! Bye, Kisaki."
On the other side of the line, the person that Masashi was talking to and hung up on, stayed silent for about a second or two before mumbling quietly with a cold smile,
"...How arrogant. Patience...there's still so many things to do." The person then laughed sinisterly while taking out the fire of the candle after staring at it for a while.
"Slowly, the chess pieces are going into their places."

"Those two played me."
Osanai says with clenched fists and fury in his eyes as Takemichi and Chifuyu both watches the boy slightly tremble.
"Masashi — Kisaki made me do everything he told me to do..." He says through clenched teeth. "I was nothing but a stepping stone, and that only clicked to me after the battle of 8/3."
Takemichi quietly repeats said battle. "You mean when Draken-kun got stabbed?" He asked while silently remembering the [h/c] girl as that was the day where she's supposed to die.

"That fight's all arranged. Kisaki drove Pah-chin into a corner, creating a reason for Toman's infighting, and they made it seem that it's all my fault!"
Takemichi's eyes widen, his mouth slightly agape as [Y/n]'s previous question comes in mind. 'So they're really working together?!'
"After I got stabbed, I was told that Kisaki approached Mikey." Osanai continues to explain or tell the story with dread making the tension get heavy. "Kisaki said that he didn't like how I did things then said he'd get Pah-chin pardoned to curry Mikey's favor."
"Why would Kisaki go to all that trouble?" Chifuyu asks with an incredulous look on his face.
"Kisaki's plan on the battle of 8/3 was to...use the fight to get Draken killed and take his place as Toman's second-in-command!"
Hearing that statement caused for Takemichi's heartbeat to raise. Droplets of cold sweat trailed down his face just like Chifuyu and Osanai.
"Kisaki left me behind."

"I can't believe you'll really go ahead and follow the order to rape a fuckin' girl!" Masashi exclaimed with a loud laugh after kicking Osanai down on the ground.
"What a damn obedient dog you are." He sneered as the blonde boy grunts in pain. "But you're downright disgusting."
Osanai clicks his tongue and glares at the boy. He sits up as Masashi walked towards him and stopped when he was only inches away.
"You did well for the past year!" The raven haired teen chirped with his signature beaming smile. "But Kisaki's done with you now."
Osanai grits his teeth. "You said that as long as I follow everything you say, everything will be fine!"
His outburst only made the younger boy laugh. "You still don't get it? You were nothing but a pawn." He said with a mocking and a look of disgust in his eyes.
"And you know what happens to pawns when they're useless in the game?" A sadistic smile shows on his face as he crouches down to whisper and continue his words,
"They obviously get thrown away."

"If you know so much, then why haven't you dealt with those two yet?" Chifuyu asks with a small frown. "After using and abandoning you like that!"
Osanai goes silent for a moment before chuckling lightly. "If it was someone who's only good at fighting...or someone's who's a little bit crafty, I'd be dealing with them." His face then shows nervousness with fear in it.
"But those two...not only is Masashi strong and good at fighting, he also comes from a rich family. He may look all kind but that's just his front – a mask." He swallows the lump on his throat. "As for Kisaki..." he trailed, lips forming a thin line.
"He's worse than I can explain. He's the kinda guy who can make plans to kill people without getting his hands dirty." Chifuyu and Takemichi both listens with chills running down their spine.
"If I mess with one of those two, there's no telling what might happen to me." Osanai looks away. "I don't want nothin' more to do with those guys."
Hearing the ex-delinquent now finish, the two teens who was investigating leaves and as they walk, Chifuyu speaks up.
The boy says the conclusion he found out. About the leader of the mysterious gang – Valhalla, otherwise known as the headless angel.
"Tetta Kisaki." That was Chifuyu said after a little bit of suspense, and after hearing the name come out of his mouth, Takemichi let out a, "Huh?!"
If Kisaki is Valhalla's leader, then why'd he join Toman? Why does he want Valhalla and Toman to fight?
And why would Masashi work for him? For fun? Or does Kisaki have something he want??
Just what the hell are those two trying to achieve.
As those questions comes flooding in the time leaper's mind, he goes back to the present future to try and understand things more.
"Sorry to keep bothering you, Draken-kun." Takemichi sheepishly says at the adult Ken silently sits down. "I just wanna ask you one thing."
The black haired Hanagaki takes a deep breath. "The reason on why you killed Kisaki...was because he manipulated Mikey into killing everyone, right?"
"...Yeah." Draken replied, his dark eyes filled with rage and hatred as he recalled the events that happened throughout the years.
"Kisaki pretended to be a friend of ours because he had his eyes set on Mikey and [Y/n] from the start."
"What..?" The time leaper whispered under his breath. Shocked once again at what he learned.
"That guy...he adored Mikey, but that soon turned into hatred after [Y/n] died during the bloody halloween fight." He deeply said, teeth clenched.
"Kisaki deeply loved [Y/n], and was obsessed with her and because she died...he blamed Mikey and despised Kazutora that he made someone inside the prison kill him." Learning that information doesn't fail to shock Takemichi once again.
"He also ordered people to get rid of Mikey's loved ones...one by one to destroy him...Izana, Emma, Shinichiro..." Draken trails with a shaky breath and glassy eyes as he couldn't help but feel bad for his best friend.
"And as if that wasn't enough," he continues, not letting his emotions get the best of him. "Kisaki made Mikey kill the others, the people in Toman, his friends...as I've told you before."
'How evil.' As the adult Takemichi thought. His stomach churned as he process the things he heard and learned.
"He also dealt with Masahi, [Y/n]'s attacker during the 8/3 and the one responsible for...Akio." He bit his lower lip at the thought of the child's smiling face.
'What...? Kisaki's ruthless.' Was what went through Takemichi's mind while gripping the fabric of his pants on top of his thighs. 'To think he would also kill his ally.'
"If I had only known things just a little sooner...then [Y/n], Baji, Hatsumi..no one would've died." Draken buried his face into the palm of his hands.
'He's blaming himself...' the raven haired thought with sympathy in his eyes. 'Even though he shouldn't...wait, did Draken-kun said Baji..'
"W-Wait! Baji-kun's dead??" He repeats with wide eyes. "But I thought he was alive!"
"...Yeah, he was. Not until Kisaki had someone kill him after a year since [Y/n]'s death and the bloody halloween." Draken answered, breath almost shaky as he continues.
"Baji was the one who was supposed to die during that fight....because he was the only one who knew about Kisaki." Draken explains with different emotions swirling in his dark hollow eyes. "I knew he was suspicious of that bastard, but I..I shrugged it off since Kisaki did a lot of things for Toman."
The man holds in his tears and sob. "I shouldn't have done that..." he then went quiet and stared at his friend who gave a confused look in return.
"Takemichi, you...you were there on Baji's funeral, remember?"
"A-Ah, yeah! That's right. Sorry...." Takemichi apologizes, his head lightly bowing for a few times. He was flustered for a few more seconds and after that, his mind thinks about the unknown person Draken mentioned.
"Draken-kun, Who's... Hatsumi?"
Hearing the question, the tattooed man answers with a, "[Y/n]'s friend from elementary. You'll find Hatsumi always clinging to her back then. "
He let out a soft chuckle at the memory. He just wish he could go back to those times... " Then momentarily pauses once again. "And not long ago...Hatsumi was also killed by the same monster...the one who's responsible for everyone's death."
"Kisaki.." Takemichi mutters, his fist and teeth clenched.
Draken purses his lips. "And thanks to Hatsumi...If it wasn't for her, I would've lived the rest of my life without knowing that the man who I thought was really a friend..." he takes a deep breath, his expression dark and cold as he finishes his sentence.
"Was a man – a that's behind Mikey's suffering...and everyone's demise."
Takemichi gulps, chills running down his spine at how scary his friend looked.
