《Remember | Tokyo revengers》「30」- Proposal

"You're not cheating on Tachibana, right?"
Kisaki asked while pushing his glasses up. He soon mumbled but audible enough to hear, "Bastard."
"Wait, what???" Takemichi gave a quizzical look at the boy who's one year younger than him. He's especially in disbelief when he was called a bastard.
'Hearing that from a bastard himself really pisses me off.' He thought as they both glared at each other so openly.
"What're you doing at [Y/n]'s house?" The boy with glasses asked, a visible frown on his face.
He already has Hinata so what's he doing at said girl's house? His frown deepened when the thought of them being alone in a room flashed through his mind.
'This fuckin' bastard.'
Takemichi narrowed his eyes. 'Why's he giving me a dirty look?' He asked as he sees Kisaki glaring daggers at him. 'I should be the one doing that.'
He was soon reminded of what the boy said. "Ah! There's no way I'd do that!" He remarked quite loudly, cheeks flushed red while Kisaki scoffs.
"Yeah, I know." He said before adding a, "As if [Y/n] would even betray Tachibana by doing that kind of thing with you." The corner of his lips curled up.
"Knowing her, I bet she'd beat you up herself before you can even make a move on her."
Takemichi grits his teeth.'Then why the hell did you even asked that question?!'
"So? What're you doing here?" He asked then adds another one while shifting his gaze inside the house. "Where's [Y/n]?"
The boy in question broke a cold sweat. "W-Why I'm here and where's [Y-Y/n]-san?" He repeats which caused Kisaki to give him a skeptical look.
"The reason why I'm here is cuz...uhh.. For a visit, yeah!" He smiled awkwardly. "Oh, and [Y/n]-san! She's-She's, uhm, sleeping, yes! She felt tired so she went for a quick nap."
His hand went through the back of his head as he recalls [Y/n] telling – threatening to use her stun gun on one of the three of them if they ever tell anyone...
Kisaki kept a skeptical look over the boy and before he could ask if something went wrong, a deep voice came from behind Takemichi.
"Oh, Kisaki?" Draken pops up from behind with Mikey following suit. "What're you doing here?"
"The President and Vice pres..?" Tetta muttered before glancing at Takemichi and glaring at him again.
"Coulda fuckin' told me that you weren't the only one here." He glowered which caused for the other boy to flinch under his gaze.
'Woah, this dude's scary even though he's younger than me.' Was what went through the faux blonde teen's mind.
'As expected of someone who'll be the cause of everyone's demise in the future.' He clenched his fists, the knuckles of it turning white due to how strong his grip was.
While he feels rage, Kisaki enters and passed through the furious blonde. Takemichi closes the door and watches as Tetta, Draken, and Mikey; the three of them talk.
He was reminded again that Draken killed Kisaki because he manipulated Mikey into killing everyone in the future that he currently knows.

He felt weird seeing the three of them together getting along when in the future....
Now back at the living room, the four boys sat on the couch. Takemichi felt extremely awkward (and also uncomfortable) being seated next the person who was the cause of chaos – everything in the future.
He even thought of killing the boy right now.
"So, what're you doin' here?" Draken asked as Mikey listens and stares at the boy with glasses with his dark eyes.
Kisaki was silent for a few seconds before he answered with a, "It's been a while since [Y/n] and I hung out."
Takemichi's eyes went wide. Is it just him or is Kisaki blushing? Who the hell was the person beside him???
He must be an imposter.
Because of the other things that went through his mind; his previous thoughts was forgotten for a moment as it was distracted by other things instead for now.
"I see..." Mikey hummed before appearing in of Tetta. Their faces close which caught him and Takemichi off.
"You and [n/n] may have been friends first but she and I have known each other since we were 5!" He says, dropping the information about being friends the girl out of nowhere.
"[N/n] adores me the most." He soon adds, "And she's mine."
Because of what the short boy declared, Silence fills the room...
Draken watched, obviously unamused by his friend's childish behavior yet a glint of jealousy was evident in his dark eyes but since everyone was focused on the short blonde, no one noticed it.
Takemichi's mouth hung open after hearing what Mikey said in a confident manner. 'Mikey-kun!!' His inner self shrieked out. Kisaki stared at the president before nodding his head.
"I am fully aware of the fact that you and [Y/n] knew each other much earlier compared to me, however..." he pushed his glasses back up as it fell down a bit. "As far as I know, she doesn't belong to anyone."
"I told you, she's mine!" Mikey repeats firmly. "She accepted to marry me when we were 11!"
As this happens, at the same time...
[Y/n] was blankly staring at the ceiling of her room for about minutes now since she woke up and talked to her child version.
She stands up and sits on her bed. "The one who twisted the original story..was all me." She mumbled before glancing at the giant bear init her room.
"It's been me all along." She whispered as she hugged the bear. "I'm glad..." her voice broke. Her arms that was wrapped around the beat tightened.
"I didn't stole anyone's place." She said, face buried on the bear's chest. "It's been mine from the start."
She took a deep breath, inhaling the scent of the big stuffed toy in the process. "The only question is...how?" She asked while pulling away the teddy bear from her hug.
She and bear both stared at each other in complete silence. "What do you think, Mister bear?" She inquired quietly despite knowing full well that she won't receive an answer.
"Have I been given a second chance in life because my first one was miserable? Did the god took pity on me?" [Y/n]'s [e/c] eyes seemed hazy. It showed different kinds of emotions: relief, confusion, and sadness.

Her ears rang and her head suddenly ached when something – a memory flashed in mind.
[Y/n] saw a blue butterfly. It was pretty similar to the one she saw during her fight with her attacker – Masashi previously.
Next was a beautiful lake. The water seemed to sparkle and shine. It looked ethereal and it felt like she being drawn into it which caused to the next scene.
[Y/n] struggled to swim in the water. She needed to get to the surface to breathe fresh air...but alas.
Underneath, her feet kicked and kicked, but to no avail, sadly. She still continued to sink down slowly as mixed emotions were evident in her eyes. Fear, anger, and sadness.
'Is this really how I'll die?'
'I'm scared.'
'Mom...Akio.'
'I don't wanna die.'
Those were things that went through her mind and the last thing she saw was the bright shining moon from above.
[Y/n] shook her head and mumbled, "The hell was that?" Then she went back to hugging the bear or as she called Mister bear. "Whatever...I'm sure the day will come when I remember that part."
She closed her eyes. "I'm sorry Mom. Akio." Her voice was muffled when she buried her face on the bear's fluffy torso again.
"It'd be pointless if I return back there since death is still near for me and I really have no chance to escape it..." her expression looked bitter and also melancholic when she uttered those words.
"I don't wanna die yet." She says in a brittle voice. "That's why I'm choosing to stay here because I have more chance to live here than in that world..."
Her eyes glistened. "I'm really gonna leave you both soon for real this time." The tears in her eyes finally came out. It's alright since no one was present in the room with her.
Though she still wants to be hugged and comforted but at the same time she doesn't want anyone seeing in such a pitiful state...
That's why she'll just settle for Mister Bear's presence and embrace.
"Live healthy and happy, okay?" Her voice cracked as she let out a soft sob. "Because the burden of the family will soon be gone."
About 20 minutes or so passed by and the tears in her eyes have already dried as she didn't wanted it to be red or puffy or else Akio or anyone in her family would point out that she cried and ask her why.
"You and [n/n] may have been friends first but she and I have known each other since we were 5!" The girl hears a voice which sounded like they were boasting.
"[N/n] adores me the most, and she's mine."
[Y/n] recognized that it was Mikey's voice from inside her room. It was a bit muffled but she could still clearly make out what he said and ignored the part where she was being claimed as his.
"They're still here?" She mumbled while looking at the door with no emotion on her face.
"I am fully aware of the fact that you and [Y/n] knew each other, however..." This time she heard a very familiar voice. As far as I know, she doesn't belong to anyone."
'Kisaki?' Her head tilted to the side and an expression finally showed and went to her face. A confused and also wary look. 'What's he doing here?'
"Wait, since It's been me all along from the start..." she trailed as she comes to a conclusion. "That means I've been changing the story ever since I was child."
Her eyes widened a little. "I've twisted the original greatly because I know a few parts on how the story played out yet despite having that kind of knowledge..." her brows furrowed.
"How come I'm friends with Kisaki?"
"I told you, she's mine!" Mikey repeats firmly. "She accepted to marry me when we were 11!"
The girl gave a weird look upon hearing such declaration. She finally stood up and left her bed to change her clothes before leaving her room since it had small bits of blood on it.
"I don't recall agreeing that I'm yours." [Y/n] asked as she steps down the stairs which caught everyone's attention.
The three boys who witnessed the terrifying incident earlier looked extremely relief that their friend woke up quick this time.
'[Y/n]-san!' Takemichi beamed, eyes sparkling with as Draken grinned from ear to ear. 'I knew she'll be alright.'
Mikey stared at the [h/c] teen. His gaze soft as his lips slowly curled up into a smile. 'Thank goodness...'
While Kisaki, a smirk was shown on his face when heard the girl speak and not agreeing to his president's words.
'Obviously.'
"And the reason why I accepted your proposal was to stop you from bothering me back then." Hearing her words, Mikey went glum which caused for Takemichi to comfort him by patting his back.
Soon the short boy went to [Y/n]'s side when he realized something. "Wait, you remember a part of our childhood?"
He asked through a whispering voice since Kisaki wasn't aware of the fact that she's lost some parts of her memories and neither was Takemichi.
"Just now." The female answered and before she could take a step towards the couch, Mikey tugged the hem of her shirt.
"Thanks for waking up, [Y/n]." He whispered again with a sweet smile adorning his face. 'You scared me.'
"Yeah.." the teen replied, her hand raising to gently pat his head. "Thank you, as well.." she softly spoke as a smile graced her feature. "Manjiro."
Mikey's heart skipped a beat when he heard his real name come out of the girl's mouth. It made him feel warm and fuzzy from within.
"Yeah." His smile grew as he replied with a slight nod of his head.
'Anything for you.'
While the two were having a heartwarming moment, two pair of eyes watched with discontent (Draken and Kisaki). They felt negative emotions swirling inside them as their heart clenched while jealousy rises from within.
Takemichi's cute smile disappeared when he felt chills running down his spine. He shivered and wondered why it suddenly became cold and how come at [Y/n] and Mikey's side looked warm.

"Ravyn's Nights" is a six book series, with each book covering a different century. Book 6 was actually started first, and it takes place in the near future, bringing the story to a final conclusion. At the time of posting the first chapter of the series, books 1-2-3 are completed and books four, five and six are in various states of completion. There is currently a novella following a side character that does include a few crossover chapters featuring the main character.
