《Remember | Tokyo revengers》「27」- Which is more...?

"He wasn't in any future I saw."
It went silent between the two again and the only thing they could hear was the distant chatter of the few people or customers inside the cafe and the gentle music playing to add at the calm atmosphere inside, well except for two certain teens.
[Y/n] let out a small hum and opened her mouth to speak to finally break the silence, as well as the awkward tension surrounding them yet again.
"But there's no need for you to worry about him." Was she told the blonde boy first. "All you have to do is give me the information I need about what and when he committed his crime against me."
[Y/n] showed a beaming smile which gave an eerie vibe for Takemichi's point of view. "I'll handle him myself."
With an expectant look from the girl, Takemichi broke a cold sweat. "[Y/n]-san..." he called then swallowed the lump in his throat that formed so quick due to the sudden anxiety he felt.
"What? Got more questions?" She asked with blinking eyes. "That can wait. Would you oh so kindly answer mine fi–"
Her inquiry was cut off by Takemichi's next words. The spark in her eyes just disappeared and it went back to being sharp and cold.
He took a deep breath before continuing as he knows that what he's about to tell won't end well, especially for the person that committed a heinous crime against the girl's little sibling.
"In the current future I saw..." he trailed. "Akio was also dead." His previous action which was taking a deep breath to calm himself was for naught when took a look at [Y/n]'s to see what kind of expression she had on her face.
That was a mistake he did.
His breathing stopped unbeknownst to himself. Knowing how scary the girl already was even if she wasn't angry, Takemichi at least thought of how she'd be if she really was but he didn't know that seeing the real thing was scary itself.
Let's say...he anticipated this but at the same time, not.
He contemplates whether what was more scarier. A person who openly shouts what they're gonna do to the person that caused their immense anger with such vulgar and unimaginable words while throwing objects,
Or...
A person who's obviously angry...much more than that actually, but doesn't do anything and just stares with an icy gaze without exchanging any words because they're probably thinking of the possible hundreds or millions things on what to do with the person who ignited the blazing fire within them.
"A-Akio died on the same day as you did." Takemichi finally spoke again but his voice was a bit shaky. It was obvious he was scared since his complexion didn't look too good.
He took note that he shouldn't anger the girl in any absolute way.
"When everyone was busy with the fight, the bloody halloween, Masashi took advantage of that and came to visit you with ill intentions..." he pursed his lips while feeling that the ground should just swallow or gobble him whole and just take him somewhere, just anywhere so he could escape the chill feeling gaze of the person in front of him.

Takemichi asked himself on why he's getting this treatment too.
"And while you were being attacked. Akio, who was out came home, and uh, y-you did managed to get away with your brother but Masashi..." another cold sweat trailed down his face.
"H-He had a gun and while you were both running...he fired it and Akio was the one who got shot as Naoto told me..."
And so the suffocating atmosphere continued while Takemichi informs [Y/n] of what happened at the failed timeline.
"So I went to the fight after Akio..." the [h/c] mumbled to herself without finishing her sentence as it made her chest feel tight and purse her lips.
"Then I died when I caught the knife that was supposed to stab Keisuke..." the boy sitting across her was tense in his seat. He was like that the whole time all throughout when he started and finished his story.
"The me there gave up that timeline..." was the last thing she murmured as she suddenly burst out laughing and her action not only surprised Takemichi but also confused him, a few people gave the laughing girl a weird look but she didn't mind then.
And the first thing that went through the bewildered boy's mind was, 'Did she went crazy?!'
"Such an annoying ." [Y/n] blurts out loud with a dark expression and dangerously low voice that obviously creeped Takemichi out once again.
The poor boy has been getting goosebumps or chills running down his spine ever since the female emitted an eerie vibe around her and not to mention, her expressions, as well as the way how her eyes would look at him.
"In the future..." the female trailed after a moment of pondering about the next thing she should ask. "Did Draken or you at least confirmed that Masashi worked with Kisaki to get rid of me?"
Takemichi's eyes widened but shocked state soon disappeared as he started to think about [Y/n]'s words.
"It...doesn't seem like it." He muttered after the memory of him seeing a glimpse of what happened at the bloody halloween fight.
He saw that said memory when he was at the future, talking to Naoto as they were both figuring out what to do about the incident.
"If he really wanted you dead then how come he was just as angry as the others in Toman when Kazutora-kun killed you?"
[Y/n] stared at the boy in silence first before speaking. "I see..." she nodded her head. "So you caught a small glimpse of what happened then."
She hummed. "And Kisaki being angry...that's a detail that shouldn't be ignored." She muttered the last part but it was still loud enough for Takemichi to hear it.
"Anything else to take note from the future?" She asked quietly with a cold smile. "Oh, wait..." she trailed, her smile slowly disappearing as something else came in mind.
"How are my parents in the future?" She asked, almost in a whisper as her gaze softened with a hint of sadness.

"Naoto and I went to a place similar to this." He starts as his lips curled up into a kind smile. "It's a cafe that has your and Akio's name, and obviously your parents are the one who owns it."
[Y/n] smiled after hearing the next thing the boy said. "They're happy and doing well."
Her mother, Youko had always wanted to run her own business with her husband, Hiroshi but since he died and there's her daughter's heart problems...it was all pushed back.
The savings which [Y/n]'s parents worked so hard to keep and separate from their own personal saving to build a small cafe went to her father's funeral but mostly to her hospital or medical bills instead...
She shakes her head at the unwanted memory and cleared her throat. "Is everyone..how are Mikey and the others doing well in the future?"
Takemichi became tensed this time. His breathing stopped for a few seconds upon hearing the question.
[Y/n] noticed the blonde boy's behavior which led her to think that the future she knows based on the manga she read still happened.
'So me saving Baji...didn't changed the future even if just for a little bit..at least.' The female lets out a deep sigh. "I see. So it still went the same way."
Another sigh. "Draken's in prison, death row and Toman's still a number one..."
"Mikey-kun killed everyone." Takemichi finally said after being silent for quite a while. "And Draken-kun..." Tears showed on the corner of his eyes.
"He said he killed Kisaki because he manipulated Mikey-kun in getting rid of everyone." He choked a sob and while he cries, [Y/n] stared at his shaking figure with wide eyes and incredulity.
Takemichi's breath was shaky while hers...it stopped without her knowledge. "That can't be!" She exclaimed, slamming a hand on the table which startled a few people and look at their table.
"That's not supposed to happen." She said while trying her best not to shout or say her words so loud for anyone to hear.
'Mikey killing everyone happen in a certain future, but him getting manipulated by Kisaki and Draken killing him...' she bit her lower lip before pursing it and forming a thin line.
'It's become even more complicated as it is.' With furrowed brows she thought. 'Changing what's to come in the near future is gonna be my doing and that's gonna lead to an uncertain ending.'
She pursed her lips. 'But since the original [Y/n] – her presence changed a lot of things in the past and because of that...' She clenched her teeth.
'Damn it! I already knew things weren't gonna be easy when I said I'll save the tr characters...no, wait.' She took a deep breath to calm herself.
'There's no point on getting angry or blaming anyone...besides it's not like it's already a game over.' She glanced at Takemichi. He sniffled while wiping the tears away from his eyes.
'It's just starting. It's too early for me to react like this....'
"What did you mean by that's not supposed to happen, [Y/n]-san?" The boy asked, his eyes a bit red and puffy.
"That's because Draken isn't supposed to kill Kisaki – succeed in killing him." She replied. "And Mikey being manipulated by the same guy which leads to him killing the others...I'm not certain about the manipulating part."
She paused for a moment as she felt a stinging pain on the left side of her chest. "But him killing everyone does happen...and that incident....it's not supposed to happen so soon."
Takemichi's eyes widen this time while [Y/n] ran her fingers to the left side of her hair. "We're not letting that happen." She says in a stern voice and face.
"Anyways, as I've said...I'll handle Masashi myself while you handle Baji." She narrowed her eyes. "I'm counting on you to not let him die."
After Takemichi gave a nod with a determined look, the [h/c] raised a brow since the boy was staring so openly.
"[Y/n]-san..." he trailed. "You aren't gonna, uhm..kill Masashi, right?" He asked while fiddling with his fingers.
Silence once again.
"If I ever do that then I won't be able to face anyone in my family or Mikey and the others." The girl finally answered. "I can't let them be connected or friends with a criminal."
Takemichi lets out a sigh of relief and flashes a smile with a small hum. "Right."
"I should get going-"
"I just noticed that you have a small scar on the left side of your head." The blonde boy accidentally cuts [Y/n]'s words off.
"Oh, uh, sorry! I didn't mean– It just slipped out." He panicked while the girl raised a brow as she stares at him with a quizzical look.
"Scar?" She takes out her phone and opens the camera at the front before pushing back her hair on the left side just as Michi said.
When she saw the scar, her head ached then she heard shouting and crying of what seemed like the voice of children.
"Stop it!"
"I-I'm sorry....because of me...you and....."
[Y/n] first stare at Takemichi with wide eyes and an even more confused look and while that happens, she felt the stinging pain in her chest get worse and before she knew it...
She coughed blood.

❝I should've thought of this when I was writing the chapters 'Aftermath' 🙂❞
❝I tried to copy Ken Wakui's style as much as I did and it's alright I guess...Yeah, feel free to draw your own 💜❞

❝Fun fact, that picture was taken by mama Youko when she watching Akio use his so called dragon powers to cast a protective spell on you. I'm referring to chapter 2 :D❞

Shift (Ben 10+DCU Fanfiction)
Omnitrix+ DCU, what's not to like? The main character will not be Ben Tennyson, rather someone from our world who gains the Omnitrix Hello! This fanfiction Shift is what I wanted to do for an homage to what I thought were underrated pieces of media, Ben 10 and some DCU characters. However, I would be remiss if I didn’t add context to two of the major works that inspired Shift, Dial, and A Practical Guide to Evil. Dial is another ben 10 fanfiction, however that story takes place in the MCU, and with an adult that is already a grown-up at the beginning of the story. Dial, by my own accounts, is more superficially Like shift, even though the Omnitrix is a central device in both. My protagonist starts out around 18 years old, so is less serious and can build relationships with some of the junior justice league members, and then later on in the story meet the Justice League officially. The tone will be more light-hearted at the beginning of the story as teenagers are known to use sarcasm and jokes at each other’s expense. Furthermore, in Dial, the protagonist has a well-developed knowledge of the MCU which he uses to have knowledge on events and characters, that the character in Shift will not have. While the MC will have some knowledge of people's abilities, lesser-known characters and people's real identities will be not included as much, but the MC of Shift will have some knowledge. APGTE's influence is deeper than Dials'. The epigraphs at the beginning of every chapter are an example of that, a place for light-hearted jokes and worldbuilding that's not pure exposition, but I also want to incorporate narrative stories to Shift (heroes win more than lose, providence, etc) on a lighthearted scale. While the heroes of Shift will have to work to win against villains, the MC of Shift will be allowed limited precognition, through narratives tropes and archetypes as a trade-off of less knowledge of the DCU. For example, a villain a hero faces might monologue, but the MC will not instinctively know how to counter every villain they encounter. I also wanted to bring in more realism than usual superhero stories, ie: the MC cannot just walk and have a meeting with Batman or Superman, he would have to “work his way up” in terms of credibility and whatnot. The Aliens that show up in Shift I tried to make different than the ones in Dial, just to share the love for lesser-known characters. And to make it fairer for the villains of the DCU, the main character will not wantonly use if gain at all an Alien X or a ben 10 form of Kryptonians, just so the characters have to work a little bit for victory. I urge anyone reading to consider checking out both APGTE and Dial as they are both amazing works, and I hope you enjoy them. The beginning of how the MC enters the DCU will not be as important as him actually existing in that universe, so that is why a ton of time is not spent on that part of the story. Chapters will be around 2.5 thousand words and come out around every weekday.
