(Y/n) walked inside the club room, unsure whether this was the place. To her, this was where it started. With the hotline call. She smiled at the memory and looked around.

The room was unusually empty; they had a day off due to some reason. Her eyes roamed the whole room, but Namjoon was nowhere to be seen. Her heart dropped.

What if she was at the wrong place? Maybe it was some other room? Literature class, maybe?

Just as she was about to leave, her phone rang. Her eyes quickly flew to the screen. It was a hotline call. But she could recognise that number anywhere. It was nearly carved in her brain.

She quickly accepted the call and pressed it against her ear.

"Hi."

"Did you enjoy running around?"

"I did it to rile up your curiosity..."

Chuckles, "Don't. I'm telling you. It's actually something I have kept inside me for a quite a long time now."

"Turn around."

She turned around in confused and dropped her phone nearly when she saw Namjoon behind her with a bouquet of roses. He had cleaned up well, looking handsome (and ravishing) in a simple outfit of white button-up and black denim that suited his dark hair.

His cheeks were pink as he held out the bouquet for her. She took it from him, looking at him shyly.

"(Y/n)..." He started. "I really, really like you. Will you go out with me?"

She stared at him for a second before exclaiming, "No. Freaking. Way. YOU are asking ME out? Wait, is this some prank? Joke? Dare?"

"Wha- No!" His hands dropped to his sides as he gave her a pleading, desperate look. "I mean it, every word of it. I have liked you ever since freshman year."

"But, I thought- Ji-soo?" She asked, confused. He sighed before launching into an explanation.

"I'll tell you from the beginning. I first saw you in our freshman literature class, and I admired you. A lot. You seemed so perfect, so out of my league. Luck struck me when we had a project together in sophomore year. That was the only time we did something together. But I hoped that you would remember who I am. Then we entered junior year, and I was losing hope.

"My friends and I played a game of truth or dare and I was dared to call the school hotline. I thought that was my chance. Maybe we can be close by the hotline advice. When you told me you're (y/n) and asked about my crush, I panicked and said Ji-soo. She was with us on the project and fit the bill perfectly. But I regretted saying her name.

"(Y/n), all this while, I have liked you. It's always been you," he finished. Her eyes were glossy with tears. She wrapped her arms around him.

"Me too, Joonie," she said back. "I have liked you since sophomore year. That project did wonders for you, by the way. I have had a huge crush on you ever since."

"Wait, so, you'll be my girlfriend?" He asked, shocked. She pulled back with a smile.

"Heck yeah. I would love to be your girlfriend. Wow, is this a dream?"

"Definitely not. I was about to lose my shit, worried how this will all work out," he said with a sweat drop. She giggled, before pulling him in for a kiss on the lips.
