(Y/n) tapped her phone against her hand rapidly, panicking. She got an idea; she dialled Ji-soo's number. The call went to voicemail.

'Ji-soo, listen, I really, really need to talk. It's an emergency. Big thing. Call me ASAP.'

She put her phone back in her pocket and covered her face with her hands.

Of all the people, why did it have to be him?

Her jeans vibrated and a familiar tune started playing. She struggled to pull it out and the phone nearly slipped from her hands. She caught it in time and quickly slid the Take Call button.

"Hello, (y/n)?"

"Are you okay? Are you hurt? Is it 911?"

"Okay, listen, I'm coming there-"

*bell rings*

"We'll talk after school, is that okay? Or do you want to bunk the next lecture and tell me what's wrong?"

"Yeah, calm down. Don't panic. Whatever's happened, it's going to be okay."

(Y/n) laughed nervously.

"Yeah, bye."

She hung up. (y/n) leaned against the basin counter, and closed her eyes. Deep breaths. Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale. There. We are good to go.

"Okay, now tell me. What happened?" Ji-soo asked her gently. (Y/n) gulped.

"I, you remember RM?" She asked. Ji-soo looked at the ceiling, trying to remember. Suddenly, she remembered and nodded at her.

"Yeah, what about him?" Ji-soo asked her, confused. (Y/n) took a deep breath.

"He's, he's Namjoon," she said quietly. So quietly, that Ji-soo almost missed it. Almost.

"What?!" Ji-soo's eyes were widened. "How did- How do you know?"

"He told me," (y/n) continued, not looking her in the eye.

"What if he's lying?" Ji-soo asked.

"I don't think so, Ji-soo," (y/n) finally looked up and Ji-soo saw the fear in her eyes. "I always felt like his voice was familiar, but I dismissed it thinking it might be just another classmate."

Ji-soo nodded, encouraging her to go further.

"But when he said his name, it all started to make sense. And I, I panicked. Because-"

She stopped, letting out her breath which was starting to feel painful. Ji-soo placed her hand on her best friend's shoulder to comfort her.

"Because I was helping him with his crush all along," (y/n) whispered out. Ji-soo rubbed her back. "And the height of it, I flirted with him. It was just friendly flirting, but now it's just embarassing. And on top of that, he flirted back."

"It's okay, he doesn't think badly of you," Ji-soo whispered softly. "In fact, if he flirted back, it means he is kinda interested. Maybe not as hard as a crush, but something more than a friend, atleast."

(Y/n) sniffed.

"You really think so?" She murmured back to Ji-soo.

"Yeah, now, stop worrying," Ji-soo embraced her lightly. (Y/n) returned the hug. Ji-soo pulled back after she felt (y/n) clam down. "Now tell me, when he told you, what did you do?"

"I, I told him something came up and hung up," she said, embarrassed. Ji-soo raised an eyebrow at her. "I know, I know, that was the wrong way to go, but I, I panicked, okay?"

"I know," Ji-soo smiled gently. "But the important thing right now is for you to let him know what happened."

(Y/n) raised an eyebrow. Ji-soo cleared her throat.

"Er, a made-up version of what happened?"

(Y/n) laughed and Ji-soo gave a sigh of relief at seeing the smile on her face.

"Okay," (y/n) agreed. Ji-soo smile back.

"Great! Now let's go home before our parents get worried."
