Once all of us girls finished our baths, we began to head to the dining hall as a group. I felt a bit uneasy from what Monokuma had said to me earlier, but I tried to get my mind off of it. I continued to stay quiet during our entire trip to the dining hall. When we had arrived, Hiro and Hifumi were speaking about something.
"Hey guys! We're back!" Hina shouted with a smile. "Ahh, what a nice bath!"
"Getting a chance to relax was a true pleasure," Celeste chatted.
A sudden entrance within the dining hall made everyone turn their heads towards the door. Monokuma walked into the room; his arrival caused the Ultimates to let out annoyed sighs.
"The monster bear is back..."
"Hey! You guys are so terrible to me! I even have some presents to offer you all!" Monokuma whined.
"By presents, do you mean motives?" I groaned.
Monokuma's face lit up as he pointed to me. "Bingo! You got it right, (Y/n)! Such a smart girl!"
I crossed my arms. "Don't praise me."
"Aww, (Y/n), you're so humble!"
"Stop-"
"Aww, (Y/n), you're so thoughtful!"
"I said stop!-"
"Stop bickering. Monokuma, when do we get our motives?" Kyoko intervened.
"Kyoko, you ruined the fun! Ugh, go to the gym and I'll give you guys the motive," Monokuma sighed. He waved goodbye to us all before exiting the dining hall, most likely heading to the gym.
"Monokuma treats you as though you are his close friend...how peculiar," Celeste commented. Her eyes were narrowed in suspicion.
"If I didn't know any better, he treats you like his girlfriend!" Hifumi added on.
"Shut up! I want him to stop treating me like this...it's weird," I grumbled with a frown.
"(Y/n), out of curiosity, do you have any memories of Monokuma before being trapped in Hope's Peak?" Kyoko questioned.
I pondered for a moment. "Hmm, no, I don't believe so."
"Hm, alright. Let's all head to the gym." Kyoko glanced at me once more before turning her attention to walking to the gym. I let out a sigh and followed Kyoko's trail, heading to the gym wondering what the next motive would be.
Once we arrived at the gym, Byakuya and Toko were already there. Byakuya clicked his tongue in annoyance, commenting, "I was kept waiting by the likes of you commoners. Do you need to be taught how to walk again? Why did you all get here so late?"
"Ah, Byakuya...you're the same as always," I mumbled. Byakuya raised an eyebrow. "I'm sorry, I didn't quite hear you. Speak up."
I glared at the male. "I just said you were the same as always."
"What do you mean by that?"
"I mean that you're always an asshole."
Byakuya was ticked off by what I said. "Listen here peasant-"
"Seriously, is that the best insult you can come up with?"
"No, in fact I have many more insults I could spit at you, but I'm going to waste my breath saying such meaningless insults at someone who is not worth my time."
"Aww, c'mon guys!! Save the arguing for later when I'm done presenting the motive!" Monokuma's loud voice echoed throughout the gym. We all turned our attention to the stage and saw Monokuma, who must have just made an entrance.

Monokuma rolled his eyes. "Although I love to see the despair arguments cause, save it for another time!"
"Come on, out with it. What motive do you have prepared for us now?" Byakuya demanded.
"Hey, calm down! Sheesh...anyways, I decided to change things up a bit. Without further ado, I present to you...the new motive!" Monokuma reached behind the curtains and pulled out a black suitcase. Monokuma opened up the case and presented the latest motive. The sight before us made a few students in the room gasp.
"Tada!! Ten million dollars! This is a graduation present for the lucky student who makes it out of here alive! Watcha think of this motive, huh?" Monokuma laughs.
"Only ten million?" Byakuya scoffed.
"Hm...this motive seems rather cliché," I commented. Monokuma stopped laughing and let out a loud cry. "Cliché?! C'mon, I thought this motive would be great!!"
"You can't just bribe us to kill with money!!" Hina screamed.
Sakura nodded in agreement. "Hina's right. You can't just purchase someone's life."
Monokuma pouted and closed the suitcase, leaving it on the podium where he had placed it. "Fine! Go ahead and criticize the motive all you want. I know someone will give into it." Monokuma parted the curtains, disappearing backstage.
Soon after he had disappeared from the scene, the nighttime announcement rang through the monitors. Before we went to our dorms, Kyoko informed us that she would be sure to keep her door open in case anything happened to Alter Ego. However, she insisted that she wouldn't be an easy target and to not underestimate her.
When I made my way back to my dorm, I couldn't help but feel a pit of dread settled within my stomach. As I walked down the hall, the sense of dread didn't ease. I opened the door to my room and went inside. I sighed, locking the door and walking over to my bed.
I plopped down onto the soft mattress, staring at the blank ceiling above me. I closed my eyes for a few seconds. When I opened them back up again, I let out a scream of surprise. I quickly sat upwards, bumping my head with the person that was looming above me.
"Ow! (Y/n), be more careful!"
"Me be more careful? If you don't want us to bump heads, don't surprise me like that Monokuma!" I yelled back. I flicked Monokuma's forehead in the same spot that we had just bumped, making him whine out in pain.
Monokuma was holding a hand against his slightly injured forehead, small tears threatening to spill from his eyes. I roll my eyes. "C'mon, don't be dramatic."
"Wahh, I'm not dramatic! You're so mean..." he mumbled, taking a seat on my bed beside me. I gulped, slightly uneasy. Monokuma was no longer rubbing his forehead, but instead was looking at me with a smile.
Don't lie to me.
I looked away from Monokuma to avoid eye contact. "Hey, (Y/n)?"
"Yes?"
"Remember how I told you I had something planned for us to do together?"
"Yeah..."
"Well, here it is!"
The weight on the bed shifted a bit, grasping my attention. I looked at the bed to see that Monokuma had placed a slightly large bag in front of himself. Opening it up, he revealed what seemed to be nail polish, magazines, board games, and a few other things.

"A sleepover!!" Monokuma exclaimed as he dumped out all of the contents of the bag onto the bed. "I can paint your nails, we can read magazines and play board games..."
"Wait...what-"
"We're gonna have so much fun!! Here, choose a nail polish colour, I'll paint your nails!"
"Wait, but I didn't agree to-"
"You don't have a choice. Choose a colour before I draw on your face."
I sighed. "Fine." I pointed to a (f/c) nail polish. Monokuma nodded and grabbed the polish, shaking the small bottle slightly.
"Give me your hand," he said. I hesitantly held out my left hand to Monokuma. He twisted the cap of the nail polish and gently grabbed my hand, examining my nails. I watched as he began to carefully paint each nail almost effortlessly.
"So, my dear..."
I interrupted him. "Don't call me that."
Monokuma glared at me a bit. "Anyways...I want to ask you something."
"...What is it?" I paused for a moment before speaking, nervous of what he was going to question.
"Why did you lie to me?"
Ah, the question I was dreading.
"What do you mean?"
"Don't play dumb."
The formerly gentle grip he held on my hand turned uncomfortable. He dug his long nails into my hand as his dark eyes stared into my (e/c) ones. Despite the pain and the small amounts of blood escaping from my hand, I held a clueless expression on my face.
No matter what, nothing will ever break one of my acts.
"I know you lied to me. Don't think that I wouldn't see through that just because of your Ultimate."
"You're acting like I'm the Ultimate Liar or something."
"You aren't the Ultimate Liar, but you can act as clueless as you want. Acting clueless to avoid the truth...isn't that equivalent to telling a lie?"
I stayed silent.
"Now, tell me what actually happened in the bathhouse."
"..."
"(Y/n) (L/n). Tell me now."
I kept my mouth shut. Monokuma's grasp on my hand kept getting tighter to the point where I felt like my hand was going to break. There was a silence lingering amongst the both of us for a few moments before Monokuma slowly let go of my hand.
"That's okay. You can keep your little secret for now, but don't think I won't find out sooner or later," Monokuma spoke as he examined the wounds he had just created on my hand. He gently brushed his fingertips over the slightly bloody wounds, his expression almost apologetic.
"Sorry..." he mumbled, almost too quiet for me to hear. "Here, give me your other hand. The polish here on this hand is almost dry."
I retracted my left hand and looked at it. My hand stung from Monokuma's nails digging into my flesh and I did my best to ignore the pain. I glanced at the drying polish on my nails (which somehow weren't ruined) and slightly smiled.
I remember the times when Junko would paint my nails. She would always paint them red to match her nails, though hers were usually acrylics. I missed times like those. Those times before we had gotten trapped here.
"Okay, done!" Monokuma giggled. "It shouldn't take too long to dry. Aww, I should have painted yours to look like my nails instead of just plain (f/c)..." He glanced down at his own nails.
"Do you paint your own nails?" I asked out of curiousity.
"Of course I do! That's why I'm totally a pro at painting nails now, look at how perfectly I painted yours." I looked back down at my nails. He was right, he had painted them perfectly.
After my nails had dried, Monokuma forced me to play a couple of board games with him. It resulted in me losing at every game. I'm sure Monokuma had cheated, but he denied the claim. After the board games, he had decided it was time to read a few magazines. I noticed that he had excluded any sort of fashion magazines, most likely to avoid me being exposed to Junko.
After participating in many sleepover activities, Monokuma finally became tired. "Sheesh, I'm exhausted!" he sighed, plopping himself down onto the bed. I was seated on the floor, an unfinished board game in front of me.
"Hey! We didn't finish playing this game," I huffed. Of course the only time I was actually winning he wanted to quit.
Monokuma got under the blankets, snuggling into the soft bed. "I don't wanna play anymore; I'm tired."
I rolled my eyes and cleaned up the board game, putting it aside. There was only one bed in the room and I doubt Monokuma would want to leave now. I grabbed a pillow off of the bed and threw it onto the ground, proceeding to lay down onto the cold, hard tile.
"What are you doing?" Monokuma leaned over, looking down at me from the bed.
I closed my eyes. "I'm trying to sleep."
"On the floor?"
"On the floor."
"Why?"
"Because you're sleeping on the bed."
There was silence after my answer. Perhaps he had actually decided to leave me alone for the rest of the night.
Wrong.
"Hey!- What are you doing?!" I screamed when Monokuma had picked me up off the ground. He laughed, spinning me around.
"C'mon! Don't be stubborn," Monokuma pouted, tossing me onto the bed. He hopped into bed after me and hugged me tightly. There was no escape now.
"Hey, I didn't agree to this," I mumbled.
Monokuma laughed. "It's more comfy up here than the floor."
"I'd rather sleep on the cold floor if it means sharing a bed with you."
"Don't be so mean!"
I stayed silent for a moment, staring at the cieling. "Hey, how come you can carry me and stop a strong punch from Mondo, but you were struggling to carry that one golden sword?" The thought had just struck me. Logically, this didn't make much sense.
"Aww, I thought that if I acted like the sword was heavy you would feel bad for me and not make me carry it."
"Tch, of course you did...hey, Monokuma?"
"Yes, princess?"
I paused for a moment, frowning at the nickname. "Why...do you like me so much?"
"Hmm, I can answer that another time. Go to sleep."
"But-"
"Go to sleep."
I waited a few moments before trying to talk to Monokuma again, but he was already asleep. I could hear his soft snoring as he slept. I had to admit, having someone to keep you company at night certainly was comforting.
After a small while, I had also found myself drifting off into a deep slumber.
