(Y/n)'s P.O.V.
Upon stepping into the room, I could clearly see many seats and desks with a video-player installed into it. Resting on one of those desks was a cardboard box. I slowly step into the room, making my way towards that cardboard box.
As I stood in front of the box, I could clearly see some things inside the box. I open it completely to see that it had many DVDs stacked neatly inside, each one having a label with a student's name.
"What did you find, (N/n)?" Junko questions, stepping beside me. I glance up to her and respond, "I found some DVDs with everyone's names on them...I think these are the videos that are individualized for the each of us."
I turn my attention back to the box of DVDs, the items seeming to just rob me of all awareness. I stood there in place as I slowly reached my hand into the box. I pulled out a DVD with my name on it and glanced back at the desk. The DVD player seemed to have the ability to play this DVD just fine without any sort of issue.
Seeing that I had found my DVD, everyone else began to dig through the box to find their own. Once everyone had found their DVD, they had gone to sit down at the desk to watch the video.
I insert the disk into the DVD player, the screen lighting up before me. I put on the headphones and await for the video to start. After loading a bit, I soon saw a video of my parents sitting at a table. Their faces were lit up in smiles as they began to speak.
"Do your best, (Y/n)! I'm so proud of you for making it into Hope's Peak!" my mother spoke.
"Be sure to try your hardest! But remember, don't overwork yourself!" my father exclaimed.
My parents continued to smile at the camera, the video then freezing on the frame of them smiling together. It had seemed almost like a normal video, but given the fact that this is a killing game, I feel like it's anything but a normal video.
Just like I had suspected, I was correct. The video then began to glitch out, it soon coming up to another scene. The table my parents were originally at was empty and smashed to pieces. The room was now horribly messy and lots of things were broken. My eyes widen and a gasp escapes from my parted lips.
The sound of a voice then erupts from the monitor, that voice being his voice.
"(Y/n) (L/n), a girl accepted into Hope's Peak Academy for her amazing acting talent. Her parents were so happy about this, but I wonder what happened to them? Oh boy, this is terrible! What could have happened here?" Monokuma's voice boomed from the video.

After he spoke, the words, "Look for the answer after graduation!" appeared on the screen. It lingered on the screen for a while before it soon began to fade away into the darkness. I clench my fist tightly and grind my teeth, ripping on the headphones.
I could feel anger and fear boiling up within me as I stared at the black screen. What the hell Monokuma?!
"Damn it!" I yell, banging my fist down onto the desk. Around me, everyone let out different wails expressing the same emotions.
"What the fuck?!"
"T-This can't be real!"
"There i-isn't anyway this is real...right?!"
"I-I can't take this! Please, let me out of here!"
When I saw and heard everyone's reactions, I had known they had to had seen something horrible as well. Not one person in the room attempted to hide their emotions of anger and fear; all except for one person.
"So this is what was meant by motive," Kyoko speaks in a calm tone; she was the only one who was calm in this situation. "Monokuma wishes to full our desire to leave the school so that we start the killing...I see."
"It seems to be the classic "prisoner's dilemma,"" stated Celeste, who seemed to have calmed down a bit after seeing her video. "Allow me to use an example; imagine two countries that are on the brink of war. However, both countries desire peace, so each commits to holding back their forces as a sign of good faith. There is still a chance that one country may betray the other, so each country continues to keep their guard up despite them agreeing to hold peace. The result is neither holds back their forces and they both betray each other."
Others in the room still seemed to be confused by Celeste's words, so Celeste gives a slight roll of her eyes.
"In other words, the fear of possibly treachery becomes the greatest enemy of stability," Celeste states.
"K-Kinda sounds like us right now...everyone agrees to work together, but we are a-all still scared that someone m-may betray us," Toko stammers as she clasps her shaking hands together.
"W-Wait! Don't give us thoughts like that...isn't that what Monokuma wants?" I speak up.
"You say that, but maybe you're just thinking that once everyone drops their guard you can attack!" Leon shouts at me.
"What?!" I shout back.
"Hey, stop accusing (N/n) of crap like that!" Junko joins in.
"Everyone, this is exactly what Monokuma wants. He wants us to fight and spread despair," Sakura remarks, stopping our arguments from progressing forward.
"Sakura is right...everyone, p-please calm down!" Chihiro blurts as tears fall from her eyes.
"Okay...maybe we should all just...talk about this then?" I suggest, "maybe if we were to talk about what just happened it will help us all calm down a bit?" Everyone in the room seemed to agree to that as I glance around the room.

My gaze lands onto Sayaka, which she was shaking as she hugged herself tightly. Her expression was filled with horror, terror, and uneasiness.
"Sayaka? Do you want to talk about what you saw?" I question the blue-haired girl. Sayaka continues to stay silent.
"What's wrong? J-Just tell us what you saw," Toko utters.
Sayaka's expression only got worse. Her eyes seemed to become dull as her face became as pale as a ghost. I gently pat her shoulder, mumbling, "Sayaka...?"
"S-Stop it!" Sayaka screams, pushing my hand away. She gripped her head tightly as her breathing quickened. Sayaka then ran out of the room, leaving the rest of us in the A/V room.
"S-Sayaka?!" Hina exclaims with an expression of concern.
I went to go follow Sayaka, but Byakuya let out a statement. "Just let her go."
"B-But I have to make sure she is alright!-"
"Just let her go. Leave her alone; you don't know what will happen while she's acting like this, idiot," Byakuya says, cutting me off. I turn my gaze to the ground; I hated to admit it, but Byakuya was right.
"I-I'm really worried about Sayaka too," Hina mumbles, staring at the ground with an expression of worry.
"Well, why don't we all spend some time alone to figure out what to do with this? We don't have to stick together during this time," Celeste proclaims. "I actually have some matters to attend to, so goodbye." The girl then left the room, walking off down the hall.
After Celeste left, everyone slowly began dispersing from the room. Soon enough, Junko and I were the only ones left in the room.
"(N/n)...are you alright?" Junko asked me, resting a hand on my shoulder.
I give her a small smile, responding, "yeah...I'll be alright. How about you?"
"Don't worry about me, (N/n)! I'll be fine....I guess I'll see you later then. If you need me for any reason, I'll be in my dorm," Junko tells me before she walks out of the room.
I take a deep breath, regaining my composure. It may seem stupid, but I had to find Sayaka; I needed to make sure she was alright. If anything happens, it'll be fine; I can handle myself. Walking out of the room, I soon began to search for the blue-haired girl.
I walk past a few rooms in search of Sayaka. I was wondering around for a little while until I heared muffled sobbing coming from a classroom. I slowly open the door and see a familiar blue-haired female huddled in the corner of the classroom. She was sitting in a chair with her knees hugged tightly to her chest. She stared absently at the floor before her, her face pale and blank; there wasn't any sort of emotion I could identify on her face.
Her expression was completely unreadable. She was almost unrecognizable; her previous smiling, happy self was stripped away and she was left as an emotionless shell of herself.
I slowly make my way over to her and stare at her for a moment before speaking. "Sayaka? Are...are you alright?"
Sayaka doesn't even turn to gaze at me as she replies. "Yeah...actually...no. There is no way I could possibly be fine right now. W-What did we do to end up in this mess? Why is the world so cruel...?"
Sayaka then stood up, an expression of anger mixed with fear now plastered onto her pale face. She grabbed my shoulders and screamed, "I want to leave here! Let me out right now!"
"S-Sayaka! Calm down!" I yelled as she dug her nails into my shoulder. I grab her wrists, loosening her grip. I look her in the eyes as I tell her, "I understand. All of this is absolutely terrifying, but now we have to try our best to keep it together and stay calm. Acting like this is what makes Monokuma happy."
Tears began to spill from Sayaka's eyes. She let go of my shoulders, soon embracing me. She cried onto my shoulder, mumbling, "w-why is all of this happening...? I can't take it all." Her voice was small and shaky, I could barely hear her speak. I pat her back in reassurance, not sure of what else to do.
After a while, she pulled away from the hug and began wiping her tears away. "(Y/n)...you're the only one I trust. Please...no matter what happens, promise to be there for me." Sayaka then held out her hand, her pinkie finger held out.
I slowly reach out my hand and wrap my pinkie finger around hers. "I promise...I'll be there for you."
We then both retracted our hands, breaking apart our pinkie promise. "Thank you (Y/n)...hearing you say that makes me feel like I can keep going no matter what. I can get through this with you by my side."
Sayaka then gives me a shaky smile, it seeming a bit forced. Her eyes were still slightly red from crying, but the tears had stopped. It was a huge improvement of how she was before.
After seeing Sayaka's expression, I give her a large grin. Let's see if this hope can overcome the horrifying despair we are facing.
