The evening had set, and the mood of the chilly kingdom had settled. Working restlessly on a plan to rescue Taehyung they were focused, and purely quiet. Jungkook watched them unknowingly, not quite understanding alot of things, but one thing he knew for sure was that Taehyung was gone, and he needed help. A witch set her eyes on him and had took him away. The human realised the world was so big and he, so small. His difference would not make a change. Being a king of Goldernia he thought he ruled the world, that everyone was beneath his feet praying to be where he stood, only now does he realise he couldn't have been so wrong. Watching Goldernia burn, watching the people within the walls scream and run in desperation away from reapers set loose on his blindness. It was then he realised being a king meant nothing, having a kingdom meant nothing when there was always something that could take it away in an instant. A kingdom was just another set of walls, like all the homes within it; and a king was just another title, just like all the other lords and maidens. Useless it was to place titles and land on one soul. He was lost in this world, almost like a kid trying to fix a puzzle without the peices. When he thought he found the peices they just wouldn't fit.

Jungkook watched them with an unfamiliar longing, and a small empty feeling. He truly felt alone. No kingdom, no title, no people, no humans, and no Taehyung. Which hurt the most, he wouldn't feel the absence of all the other things without the lone absence of his beautiful love. Had he ever told Taehyung how much he loved him? Did the vampire truly ever know? Was that why he was constantly willing to just leave Jungkook behind? Because he wasnt worth it? Not good enough? He tried not to think this way, but the overwhelming darkness always consumed him. Even finding out Taehyungs purpose of getting rid of the witch, he still felt somehow abandoned.

It's just that he loves Taehyung with all of his soul and simultaneously hates him all the same. For leaving him, for loving him, and all the bad seemed to be laced with a delicious good that fit too perfectly together for him to not always hunger for more. The vampire is his person, the only one in the world who he's loved so much. The lone soul that is connected to his own and for all that is evil it's taken away from him yet again. The only other being that entered his heart was his mother, the one who birthed and nurtured him until she couldn't. Her warmth was the comfort from his father's cold ways. Still, the world had cursed his life for the worse and everyone who he cared for perished.

In the middle of his saddening thoughts, he heard an agreement. They came to a conclusion, one that they thought over for some time now. He hadn't slept, or ate thinking about it. What if all this time planning and working and Taehyung was already dead? What if this was all a failed effort? What if he wanted to go with the witch? What if he still... loved her?

"That's ridiculous! We're running out of time! Jungkook, talk them out of this!" Jimin shouted. He looked to the clueless young human for assistance.

"...what?." Jungkook asked. His head spiraling with confusion. What in the world just happened? They were talking fine and now an arguement erupted?! He snapped his gaze up to the trio pacing out of the room, with seeming panicked eyes. Gear wrapped outfits, small handy attachments. Where the hell were these guys headed?

"They're planning o-"

"Jimin no!" Yoongi yelled. "He shouldn't know, we shouldn't involve him. We're the ones who are going!" The older vampire growled with annoyance at the younger vampire's ignorant behavior. Jimin even suggesting this infuriated him, did the younger not have any common sense what so ever?

"What's going on?" Jungkook pouts. Why were they getting dressed? What was all the stuff for? Are those weapons? He hates when they're not inclusive. They promised not to treat him like a child, like the fragile little human of Taehyungs and it felt like they were doing exactly that right at this moment.

"What happened to TALKING to him?! Do you not remember the fight before? It's up to JUNGKOOK what he does with the information, NOT YOU! He deserves to know anything we talk about. He cares about Taehyung just as much as we do, if not, MORE!" Jimin shouted. To hell with Yoongi. Who said it was his choice? They were all included in this and Jungkook was apart of that. They promised and Jimin will not break it. It became a habit to worry for Jungkook, being human and so fragile amongst a world of vampires. But, Jungkook is a man, a man who's also a king, and a strong willed human. He deserves a right to his own choices, because it is his life. Jimin had to come to a painful realization that if Jungkook chose something life threatening or dangerous, it is not his right to refuse or hold the human back. He has to accept that, and so does everyone else. Including Taehyung.

"You only want him to know because you dont like our plan! It's for your own selfish reasons. You know, if Jungkook knew what we were doing he'd either talk us out of it or try to come along despite our words. He's safe here. Taehyung wouldn't want that!" Yoongi tells back. This was all too much for him. He's getting anxious without his brother, pacing around and he could've swore he broke a sweat.

Jungkook looked around innocently. Though confused and frustrated he agreed with Jimin, only because he didn't know what they were talking about of course. They promised, so he deserved to know. Yoongi wasn't getting it once again. He crossed his arms, face scowling at Yoongi, a brow raised high.

"So?" Jungkook hunches on. Was he going to keep his promise or not? He didn't have time for Yoongi once again. The old bastard, always choosing what's best for everyone else, instead of what they want.

"Jungko-"

"Jungkook we really dont have time."

"Tell him!"

"We're running out of time guys!" Seoyeon shouts. "Yoongi, is he in or out?! We need to go now!" She holds her hands together, wrapping them in a motion before putting two fingers to her head. The witches eyes sprouting with a soft glow.

"Jungkook, please just-...this is different okay? It's to protect you. We don't have the time!" Yoongi pleads. He looks over to the both of them with anger, but gives up on everything knowing he wouldn't be able to keep Jimin from speaking. He turns to Jimin with glowing crimson eyes, laced with a dark shadow. He gives him one last growling speech. "If something happens to him Jimin. Taehyung would never forgive you." Then he turns and stomps away to Seoyeon who's hands shake slightly, sweat dribbles down her face as her eyes glow.

Jimin sat there for a few seconds, eyes stunned from Yoongi's words. He felt hollow, letting the words just flow through his brain. "Taehyung would never forgive you." He continued standing there until Seoyeons voice shook him out of his trance.

"Jimin, now or never. If we wait any longer we might miss our chance." Seoyeon cries out. Taehyungs in danger, she can't feel him anymore. That shouldn't ever happen, it's like his soul vanished. The witch should always be able to connect to his life force, but that isnt possible right now. She doesn't want to assume he's dead. That isnt possible. The only choice they have is to go there now. They'll have to fight. They'll have to work their way to see it for themselves. All their planning went to shit in the matter of seconds once she lost connection to Taehyung. Panicked she shouted to Jimin and Yoongi, and they hurriedly decided this. Or at least are trying to. Either way, she has to go, for the late Kim's. She promised her old friends, and she'd keep it.

"Jungkook listen." Jimin worded hurriedly. Packing a sharp knife into his leather thigh holster. He too seemed to have decided he had to be ready, instead of holding back just as he presumed seconds ago. "Seoyeon stopped feeling Taehyungs presence."

"What?! W-wha— what does that mean?! Jimin?!" Jungkooks eyes bulge, his heart beat picks up. He feels his chest tighten with a heavy worry.

"It means he's either dead, or.... or something happened to his soul. Whatever it is, maybe magic. I can't connect to him anymore." Seoyeon cuts in for Jimin, who can't finish his own words. She turns to Jungkook with a determination, a look of fire. "Its crazy and it's really stupid. But, we have to go there now. I dont say we fight, but that's what we'll probably have to do. I need to know if he's alive. This is what we've wanted this whole time. I'm afraid if he's there any longer, he will in fact die. "

Jungkook loses his breath.

"D-die? He's d-dead?!" Jungkook gasps clutching onto his heart. He's eyes water, flashes of sweet memories filled with Taehyungs laugh fill his mind and it makes it all more painful. "He cant be! I— what... please tell me you're wrong! You felt wrong! Tell me!" His eyes are frantic, and cloudy. He doesnt realise he's sobbing until his face is covered in a wet substance. His heart is breaking again and all he can feel is pain. No longer numb to it all. He wants to be numb.

"So we have to go right now, Jungkook. That's what they're saying. I still think its ridiculous. We should at least plan another hour, bring some reinforcements. We dont know how many reapers or vampires are there. You remember how crazy it was back there?! I'll go so the fools dont die either way. But, please agree with me on this!" Jimin pleads this time. He's hesitant with Jungkooks crazed state, but he proceeds on. Taking a hand to the human's shoulder in comfort.

"I'll help. I'll go." Jungkook speaks.

"No."

"Yoongi-"

"Yoongi it—"

"This is exactly what I said would happen Jimin! He's going to get himself killed! Theres no way to talk him out of it now! If we go, he'll go whether we take him or not!" Yoongi roars. He's raging, Jimins idiotic mind. He should've never allowed the immature vampire to speak. They have no choice. There's no room for negotiation. Now they have to deal with this. They don't have time!

"Then don't go! You know it's a death mission either way! We can plan this out for another hour!" Jimin retaliates.

"You're such in idiot! Do you care about either of them at all?!!" Yoongi fires back.

The room is set in a dangerous flame, and it's building and spreading. Time is pacing above their heads mockingly counting down and they argue in a panic.

"Guys!!! Time! I'm going whether or not you like it Jimin! I've got a one way ticket there as fast as I can." Seoyeon responds within the shouts.

"Yeah! But, you also said you've never taken more than a single person before. You expect to travel from here to Goldernia in seconds with a method that could also kill us. Does anyone else see this going horribly wrong or am I just the delusional one here?!!" Jimin crossed his arms, and sighs.

"Let's just go." Jungkook quietly says.

"What?!'

"What–"

Jungkook looks up at them blankly. Their eyes wide. The human agreed with Seoyeon above both of them. They could scream their throats out at eachother about what he wants or what's best for him, but only he chooses that. He's going and they don't have time. If this is his only chance to see Taehyung or save him, he's not waiting at home like some princess while they risk their life. What if they come back to tell him Taehyungs dead?

"I'd rather risk my life trying to save him, then wait around for him to die because I'm scared. Taehyung always came to save me before I could even scream his name. I'm going." Jungkook concludes. He walks closer to Seoyeon with a nod of confirmation. His ideals were set, their was no one who could talk him out of it.

"Jungkook, this is ridiculous! What will you do? Huh? You'll get yourself killed before you could even help him. We can't save him if we're helping you too! What if you die and we save him? He'll be shattered thinking it was his fault you came after him! Taehyung would want it this way."

"Kook, you were supposed to talk the idiots out of going not JOIN them!!" Jimin shouts. Pulling at his hair, it was absolutely reckless and they didn't give a damn. What the hell was the point in getting themselves killed trying to save Taehyung? They couldn't do anything for him if they're all dead. Important people to the world dying all over some presumption. Kings, lords, and a powerful witch. All dead. People would go insane from the idea.

"Look, if Taehyung dies, we're all dead anyway. If this witch is strong enough to kill Taehyung, what makes you think you guys could do anything to stop her from finishing the rest of is off? We need him. In reality, he's our priority. My life is nothing compared to Taehyung. He's just such a goddamn idiot! The world needs Taehyung. Not me. A kingdomless king. A human." Jungkook finishes. He doesnt shout any longer, it feels tiring and unnecessary. He's just so tired of it all. He wants to be happy again. He wants to relax. He wants Taehyung back."I need him...." He whispers.

"We're going."

"Darling, are you all sweet and calm now?"

There stands Irene kneeling before Taehyung who's wrapped and laced with a heavily coated metal. More than a ton of pounds weighing down on his body, making it impossible for him to even shudder. His strength drastically depleted, body weak. He could only moan in pain and starvation. He's fuzzy, far above the clouds. Memory distorted from seconds and years ago. What happened? He felt so weird, so...wrong.

"Lady Irene...? What happened? Why am I chained? Did I lose control again?" Taehyung asks frantically, his eyes are laced with innocence and he feels lost. Placed in a world unknown, as if he's missing a big portion of time. His eyes are blood shot red, dripped in a luminescent violet. The "monster" persona had replaced his mind, no longer himself. The seemed true Taehyung was drowning in a sea of black smoke, clogging his lungs and forcing out his shadow. It held him down like the chains, as he could only watch from afar, in a distant part of himself being someone else. A monster.

"Yes, my love. It is alright, I forgive you." She stays kneeled, hand still caressing his soft freckled skin, pale and without life. Blood drained from his body, no pigment in his old pink cheeks. Scars lacing his body, unhealed wounds across his muscles. The cold so sharp and piercing, she smiled. Irene pathetically looked down at the lost boy, frowning. "But, you must behave, you've been very naughty. My little monster wouldn't do that, would he?"

Taehyung shook his head desperately. Licking over his lips in the new found hunger. His stomach rumbled to life, and his throat squeezed tightly, as if her chains had wrapped around him like a coiling snake, aroused with hunger to take the life out if its prey. Prey. He loved prey, hunting those so weak. The taste of blood on his lips, especially the pure nature of a human's blood. The innocent life always sprung a delicious taste to his tongue, watching the purity drain out those immaculate eyes. His blood shot eyes darkened with malice, and hunger. Driven with a dark desire to feed.

"Oh, are you hungry, my sweet little monster?" Irene chucked, standing while placing her hand on his small chin, allowing him to kneel only. To which Taehyung nodded greedily. "Yes? I have someone for you."

"Bring him in!"

Clapping her hand, some muffled screams were heard. A screeching sound of metal scraping the ground, getting closer and closer. With each step of distance he could smell more and more. Blood.

Taehyungs peiricing eyes almost glared at the man coming into view, eyes never leaving the chained body, with drizzling blood leaking from his flesh. He hungrily gulped, thirst increasing, throat felt as if it was covered in sand paper. Lips going incredibly white. He needed to feed. Watching the blood drip loosely was such a waste, he'd lap it up with his tongue before it would run cold. Blood was always better scorching hot, from the vein. Getting someone aroused, quickening the pace of their heart. Blood rushing to every place his lips and tongue caressed, he wanted it so bad. The woman chained was already lifeless, he could feel it. Her heart was nearly gone, and her blood had run cold, it was a disappointing finding. However, the man that wheeled her in, was indeed living, but man didn't appeal to him. He was old and reeked of impurity. His guilt polluted his blood, and Taehyung could tell it would be so bitter. But, it was free, and he was hungry, and hunger isn't picky.

"My, my Mr. Choi, looks like my use of you is needed once again." Irene speaks, she sings with a whistle in a teasing tone of untrusting and hazardous danger. Only a foolish man would soak into the velvet of her smooth words. The river that she spilled was wild and raging, and the fool must've been idiotic enough to test the waters.

"B-but, that t-thing!" Mr. Choi screeches briefly, horrified of the beast chained to the ground, glaring at him like a piece of fresh meat. The beast was the predator watching his meal be dangled for the taking, and it made his heart race.

"Oh, my little monster here? He's harmless." She smiles wickedly at the old man. Turning to Taehyung with a grin of acknowledgement. "Right, my love?"

Taehyung growled back, inhumanely. The monster within him wanted to feed, and he had grown impatient. The chains on his back started to feel lighter with every second the black of his shadow took over his eyes.

"Now there, that's not nice. Be patient love, I was nice enough to get you some lunch, even though you were so disrespectful." Irene clicked her teeth sassily, watching the boy churn with anger, and impatience. She always felt amazed at the boy's strength, despite every spell she ever placed on him, his body never failed to overcome it. The weight on his starved, weak body hadn't been lifted, he just outgrew the weight. She could squeal with excitement at his strength, and it was all to herself.

"B-but she's council? I thought you said you could help her?!" Mr. Choi shouted. He looked down at the motionless girl covered in blood. Torn apart by the reapers that got loose, all apart of that witches plan. The only reason he decided to work with her was to run the little king out of town, not wipe out the entire kingdom. Now she had reapers on the loose, crawling around everywhere. It was disastrous. They should've killed all them blood sucking reapers in the first place.

"Wheel the meal in or would you rather him feast on you instead?" Irene says darkly, pointing to Taehyung. Who within seconds seemed to double in strength, the nature of his monstrous magic swirled as he got restless. But, he was still patient, standing in the same spot with chains draping his frame, a very good boy indeed. She nodded to him. "Go on."
