《I Demand It | TAEKOOK✔》Apologetic

The time was now. Everything was in place, and nothing could be more perfect. The lines of assembled vampires waiting behind the pillars of beautiful decor inside the castle. They stood in almost perfect symmetry, with the uttermost perfect posture. All standing tall and proud, necks straight looking forward. In a way it was odd, seeing such perfection. Humans were always clumsy, hunched, and scrambled together.
Vampire's placed left and right. They all must've picked up his heavy footsteps, vampires always moved silently and swiftly. Had he not of been holding Taehyung, he wouldn't have noticed The vampire was even beside him. They almost reached the hall full of vamps when his body broke out in a sweat. The huge space allowed hundreds to fit inside. Jungkook didn't think so many vampires were left, he assumed they all died out, besides the few who he once held captive of course. Seeing them all from afar, his heart raced. He tightened his grip on Taehyungs sleeve.
"It's okay."
Jungkook heard the raspy, calming whisper and a hand scooping his waist. Taehyung smothered him with his presence and he forced himself to remember the vampire was here. He wasn't alone anymore. This task should be easy, if only he didn't care of those vampires before them. But, he did. He cared so much, it itched his soul thinking of their disapproval. He desperately wanted their approval, he craved their acceptance to the point where his core was begging and reaching out for their willingness to listen. Jungkook squeezes his eyes ad they moved forward. His heart sunk. He was panicking, the sweat building in puddles. The nerves at his knees, making them weak. His fingers twitching. He imagined them all attacking him, feasting on his flesh while they held Taehyung back. A punishment for marking a human.
"STOP." Taehyung says fiercely. Grabbing Jungkook by the wrist, he pulls them away from the crowd. They go behind the blinding of a pillar to have a sense of privacy. "Your heart is racing. I can sense your fear so easily. Don't be afraid. Only prey fear. Do you want them to see you as prey?!"
"But, I am prey Taehyung! How will they see me as anything else. Going infront of hundreds of vampires, I feel like a little bunny in a pit full of lions!" Jungkook cries weakly. Maybe to Taehyung it was an exaggeration, but to Jungkook it's exactly the situation.
"You. Are. NOT. Prey!" Taehyung sharply hisses. He grabs Jungkooks jaw gently and lifts his face to gaze into his pretty doe eyes. They conveyed so much fear. Eyes practically trembling. He didn't like it. It angered him so much, he almost tightened his fist into a ball. "Do you understand me? You are not prey."
Jungkook nods slowly. He bites at his lips nervously, he didn't want to make Taehyung upset. It was just so hard not to tremble at the sight of an army that wasn't his. The thought that one could kill him so easily like that reaper, and there were hundreds. He had butterflies. The bad kind of butterflies, flipping upside down and back in his stomach.
"Speak to me."
"I understand." Jungkook took a deep breath and tried remembering the wonderful moments with Taehyung. The peaceful memories they enjoyed just laying in bed, snuggling, laughing, sleeping. The soft and gentle hands of a vampire, holding him close. The hours they spent just looking at each other. His body calmed itself easily, as the images flooded his mind. The pillow fights with Taehyung and Jimin. The reading sessions with Yoongi. He felt happy. At ease. If he knew it was this easy, he would've walked out there proudly, knowing he got to enjoy life with these three beings, and that was enough. If he'd die in this moment, life was the best it has ever been. "I love you, Kim Taehyung."

Taehyung chuckles, shaking his head. Of course he snapped a peak at what Jungkook thought of. He wanted to see what made the human so calm all of a sudden. It surprised him, but he felt happy. He could feel Jungkooks relaxation and joy as well. "You're so dramatic."
"Okay, let's go!" Jungkook shouts. He snatched Taehyungs wrist, pulling them ahead. He practically ran over to the hall this time. The vampire couldn't tell if the human was trying to force himself not to be nervous by rushing the event, or if the human wasn't actually nervous anymore.
Jungkook felt more at ease when he recognised Jimin and Yoongi walking toward them. They both stood on either side of him, in a sort of protective barrier. They smiled for a few seconds at him, but then exchanged nods to Taehyung. Their faces support small nervous glancing and determination. What the hell? He looked back at Taehyung in confusion.
"It's just a precaution." Taehyung offers quietly. Jungkook understood immediately. That meant 'they're here just in case a thousand vampires try to kill you.' Great. So much for at ease. On his account they moved forward, Yoongi walking toward the front quickly, while Jimin headed to the back. Forming a small sort of cross. Yoongi ahead, Jimin behind, and Taehyung right beside him.
The vampires small chatter quieted when they heard the footsteps arrive. All curious to what's going on. "It's the king!" Someone shouted.
"Lord Yoongi is here too!" Someone else shouted after. Small chatter erupted again. "The newcomer!" The woman aimed at Jimin.
"Do you smell... that?!" A grumpy voiced vampire whispered.
"A human?!" Then multiple shouts of the same thing. They all simultaneously looked for him next to their king. Every single eye was attached to him. His heart sunk into his ass more than once. He was trying not to piss his pants, and keep his heart rate in check. But, how the hell could he do that?!
"Calm down kid, they're just curious, not hostile." Yoongi says amongst the growing voices in the crowd. He too was nervous, the sudden attention toward Jungkook was expected, but still hard to fathom. He's never been this tense since his old days of war, times where everyone fought. Vampire's went crazy, wolves and hunters were at their prime. Seems most have died out, or they've just gone quiet. "Alright, kiddo. We're ready when you are."
Jungkook breathed in, calm, he told himself. Everything would be alright. It was just a small introduction. Summon the inner Jungkook. The king. The man who thought he was above all. Why couldn't he summon that person forward? He could. He could do it. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. "Let's get it." He walked forward quickly, the faster he did so, lessons the chance of him backing out.
"Oh, sh-" Jimin stumbled. He was nervous, and he could see the others beside him were as well. Totally unprepared, he did not expect the human to just go so quickly ahead. "You heard him, let's get it." He motions to Yoongi who raises a brow and Taehyung who chuckles.
They reach the front of all the commotion, the clan getting louder in union all asking questions. Far too many for him to pick out individually. Although he could barely hear their words, he knew they were about him, and it wasn't too good. Jungkook could tell by the look on Jimins face. The youngest vampire scowled at the clan, his eyes slowly turning a bloody crimson red. He looked to Jimin with a smile and mouthed 'it's alright'. The other visibly softened, his determined face studying the audience once again.

Jungkook coughed, and awkwardly held his hand to scratch the back of his head. He straightened his posture to mimic them, while doing so he heard someone snicker. Had to of been Taehyung.
"U-um.." He strained. "I-..."
They were all so loud, he couldn't compete. His voice strained as he tried to yell, without the courage to go above them.
"Quiet." Taehyung suddenly erupts, his voice not nearly as loud as Jungkook tried to push out. They all went silent immediately, looking to their leader. Standing straight and perfectly attentive. He faced Jungkook and nods him on.
Well, that's his cue.
"H-hello..." Jungkook manages to squeak out. His eyes go wide when a few vampires erupt in squeals, fanning over him. Shouting "cute" and making cooing sounds at him. As if he were a baby or puppy. His ears go red, and his cheeks blossom. To his surprise Taehyung smiles, shaking his head.
"Ladies..." Taehyung shushes, with a finger over his mouth. They listened to their leader mischievously, still fanning over them both. "Go on." He motions to Jungkook.
"I..." Jungkook stops to breathe in. His heart hiccuping. Everything felt a bit easier, but he still had to calm himself, and push the words out. Although he had no idea what he was supposed to say. "I'm Je-..." He stops. Should he say "Jeon"? Did they know of the name? From his father. The hunter. That would be a bad start. Right? He panics and looks to Taehyung, eyes visibly shaken.
Taehyung holds both palms out pushes them down and back up to motion Jungkook to just breathe. Nodding his head slowly to the ground, he gives the human a sign to start over.
"I'm Jeon Jungkook. King of Goldernia, and..." He hesitates, once again turning toward Taehyung for guidance and permission of some sort. Maybe he wasn't ready.
"My marked one." Taehyung adds confidently.
Every single vampire gasps, almost comically. So shocked, they can barely close their mouths. They murmur to eachother, and the words begin to spread and spread until the whole room erupts in chaos."You marked a human?!!" A vampire shouts. Others nod in question with him.
"Yes, I did." Taehyung answers. He looks at the vampires sternly, as if to warn the other of pushing limits any longer.
"T-that's unheard of!!!" A female vampire adds with a trembling voice. She must be nervous to speak this way to Taehyung. "It's disgusting!" An angered vampire chimes in. His face cringed. Another yells at him "You were once human! Do not say such things!" Snarls are heard back and forth, echoing throughout the hall. "Did you not forget his kingdom holds us captive! As slaves! Starves us to create reapers so they have a reason to kill us!!!!" They all fuss with one another and Jungkook suddenly feels guilty for the anger he's caused. The once united vampires dividing before him. A group he wished to be apart of, tearing down.
Taehyung growls. A few vampires bow their heads, unwilling to look him in the eye. Others hiss back, standing their ground. His dark, sparkling deadly irises. Yoongi gets into position, ready to fight. Jimin follows along eyes mimicking Taehyungs.
"Take the human back!!" Someone snarls. "One little human king will bring more of those things here!!"
"The king has marked him! We should respect the kings decisions. He is wise, and would never make such a decision without knowing the risks!" A calm, young vampire responds to the grumpy other. He could see the vampire making eye contact with him momentarily, then going back to argue with someone beside him.
"If you don't take the human back we'll have to-"
"HAVE TO WHAT?!!" Taehyung roars, that temper of his whenever someone he cared about was threatened. After his parents, anybody close to him made him feel overprotective, and possessive. He wouldn't dare lose anyone else. Not if he has something to do about it.
Vampire's shivered at the kings rage, the power that bursts through their leaders body. The clan nervously watched the war slowly fuel. They were scared. Frightened of the Kims beast. Taehyung.
Jungkook knew Taehyung would act if he didnt stop this. As soon as he thought another man snarled, threatening to get rid of him. Taehyung nearly charged at him with a growl, Jimin snarling not far behind. "NO, Taehyung no!" Jungkook screams. The vampire looks to him, but still growls at the fool in the clan. He ignores the humans desperate plea. "Kim. Taehyung." He hisses. He didn't like when Taehyung ignored him. The vampire slowly retracts his fangs, and his eyes dull slightly. The human barely managing to be lessen his beast.
"Jimin." He commands sternly when the other wouldn't stand down. The youngest vampire looked to Taehyung who clicked his teeth angrily, and nodded. Only then did Jimin step back, going back to standing perfectly straight. He knew Taehyung would be pissed at him, but as if now he didn't care much. Especially with the clan right now. The crowd gets rowdy, some courageously ready to fight back and he feels pressured. Lungs ready to burst. "STOP!! Please!"
They all look to him. Stopped in their actions, as if his voice boomed through their bodies. His plea nearly aching their soul.
"Please don't argue! I-....I don't want to cause you guys to fight. I truly admire what goes on here. The unity. You are all family, and I would never ever wish to intrude on such a bond." Jungkook speaks genuinely, his eyes twinkling with a light of admiration. The crowd calms slightly, all mixed reactions. Some still aren't amused by the situation, other unbothered.
"I know who my father is, who he was. I can't make excuses for what he's done. What I've done. All I can tell you, is that as a human, as a fool, as a hidden little boy, sheltered from the world. I was misguided. I was taught wrong. I'm sorry, for my ignorance. I'm sorry for being naive. I'm sorry for being useless, for not telling my father it was wrong. I'm sorry for not seeing vampires as people, but numbers. I'm sorry....I'm sorry that it's not enough, I'm sorry that my being here interrupts your peace, because that is the last thing that I want. I'm sorry that I've fallen so deep in love with your king. I'm sorry for coming here to stand before you to say that I am so s-s..orry." Jungkook chokes up. He covers his face with his arm to hide his tears. His emotions taking over. He steadied his breath, and quiets his cry. "Please....just please...know how much I wish to earn your trust, respect. This family with Taehyung. Jimin. Yoongi. I care...I do. So please...I beg of you to understand that I am sorry.." He ends, tears dripping down his shirt, being soaked up like a sponge. His head down and covered still, unable to hear anything else of the audience who've gone silent.
Someone taps his shoulder. Whispering calming words, the rasp of a hushed whisper. Taehyung of course. He slowly uncovers his hands to see the vampire before him smiling, his blurry vision from soaked tears cam barely make out the beam that is from Taehyungs grin. Jungkook looks to Yoongi smirking and Jimin who looks amazed, mouth agape and eyes shocked. "Baby, look." Taehyung whispers gleaming, his hands directing Jungkooks eyes to the crowd.
They were...bowing.

Four story anthology
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] [participant in #NaNoWriMo] Preface: This fiction will contain four different stories set up as a challenge for myself and to get better at writing. The challenge for royal road writathon is a 55.555 word goal while the nanowrimo challenge is 50.000 words. Reader suggestions is turned on, feel free to point out errors I missed and I'll fix them up! Chasing sun, napping softly: Cultivation/Xianxia genre. Some parts will poke at the ridiculousness of the Xianxia gerne. We follow the life of a magical fox monster, who doesn't like how the cultivation world works. Said beast seems to have more knowledge than is usual for normal magical beasts. In it's infinite wisdom it decided to search for the main character of the cultivation world to have a cozy and safe place beside him. Our fox will act as a "wise beast" to coast along on the main characters rise to greatness, all for peace, happiness and that amazing napping spot in the sun. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing in first person. Comedic effect between talking vaguely and sounding wise. The cost of heroism: A story more centered around fights and mental health of hired mercenaries/heroes. The world is infected with an eldritch corruption. Humans are trying their best to explore and clear out wilderness and the dungeons hiding in them to establish new cities. Lords seek for hired hands to do the professional work. Thanks to the setting, the story will show how awful pasts are the norm and how pragmatic people became thanks to that. People exchange their sanity for riches, fame and gods acceptance. Interpersonal relationships change drastically and quickly. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing grim scenes/imparting a feeling of how grim the world is. Writing fight scenes. Showing different mental states. Describing their influence on people during fights, walks or even after successful or failed campaigns. Who will be the next powerhouse? : A story about a gaming show, it's host Staan and the different participants. Stereotype characters, stereotype backstories, silly challenges and quizzes. The winner of those challenges gets powerups for their power system. Be it magic, ki, psychic power or anything else imaginable and unimaginable to reach the power of gods. The challenges for myself with this story: A softer tone for storytelling. Making the reader smile and enjoy themselves. A different try at slice of life story. I was left behind on earth as my family conquered another world and enjoys riches, but that's okey because I got a cheat too! : Stereotypical Isekai story parody twisted into an Urban Fantasy story. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing over the top and overdramatic scenarios/scenes Writing in first person. Walking into stereotypical scenarios and making them more dramatic/giving them a twist. Different type of humor.
