《I Demand It | TAEKOOK✔》What Lies Beneath

The kingdom had been an uproar of chaotic citizens. Celebrations after celebration, congratulations after congratulation. Vampires captured left and right. The most powerful wanted criminals sentenced to their existence behind thick, cold steel. They had figured out a vampires greatest weakness, although it was simple.
Blood.
Without it vampires had no such strength. Their minds were replaced with the desperate want to feed.
Jungkook had seen his father rather excited day after day. Which wasn't often for the man.
"Father, what has you so excited?" He would ask.
"Can't you see, son?" His father would respond. Pointing to the kingdom that is his own.
How could he see? When his shoes are covered in the blood of thousands of others. When his eyes damaged from what he's seen. Ears ringing from the everlasting screams.
His father would rejoice and shout "We've almost finished getting all the bloodies!"
It was until one day he wasn't excited anymore. A deep crease had formed in his head from the constant frowning. His mother had left and vampires grew cautious. They became harder to kill, harder to find. They began working together, building kingdoms. They outsmarted his father. But his father was thirsty now. Thirsty for revenge.
He ran upon his father's letters. The papers came often, sealed in stamped with wax. He grew curious about them. Why hasn't his father shared them with him? Jungkook began to open one, but his father had caught and stopped him.
"These letters are not for you!" He said. "Do not open them, EVER!"
This only fueled the youngers want to disobey. To find out what could be so precious in such a letter. He was smart, and grabbed a second letter. He went to his room to open it when his father was not around.

the only cure
What the hell does this mean? He thought. A weird letter type poem. But he flipped it over.
"Okay?.." Jungkook said.
"Prince!! Prince!!?!" Someone yelled. "It's the king!!"
His heart thumped. Had his father saw? Rushing to the door he stood straight.
"Enter."
"The king, my prince."
"
"What is this?!" A voice screamed. "Jungkook!?!"
The boy snapped out of his thoughts. He shook his head and focused his vision toward the vampire standing in front of him. Furious.
"I-i don't-"
Taehyung took his hand and wrapped it tightly around Jungkooks neck. He slammed the boys body against the wall, that deepens the wallpaper.
"Don't lie to me." The vampire hissed.
"I...i suh...swear! I don't know what it means!!" Jungkook gasps. His air supply growing short. "P-please! Don't hurt me!" He whimpered.
Taehyung paused.
He saw the fear in his marked one. His neck itched and his chest was caving. Growling out frustratingly, he let the other go.
Jungkook sunk down to the floor and clutched his bruised throat.
"I forgot about the letter. I promise, I really did. My father never allowed me to open them. I stole one before he died and burned the rest. I stored it away because I couldn't understand what it meant. I didn't realise until now that it could be related to you."
Taehyung scoffed and folded his arms. He unfolded them and took hold of the loose strands of hair on his scalp. Walking back and forth across the room but, he thought deeply. He appeared unsure. The rage in his eyes toward Jungkook turned his eyes bright red. Something was stopping him from grabbing the boys throat again. He was fighting with himself.
"The Underworld. Why does it say my kingdoms name?" The vampire snarled. "Why does it have my family's initials? WHY!!!?!"
"Your f-family? I-i...i didn't-...i.." Jungkook stuttered. How could he have known this? He had little knowledge of vampires let alone their world.

"Like hell! How can you read this then?!! It's ancient writing. Only vampires know this writing." The vampire snarls back.
"It is? My father taught me. I didn't know." Jungkook tries again. He really had no idea.
Taehyung stops momentarily to read over the letter again. He reads and reads until his brows furrow.
"These peoms. They're written like one of mine." The vampire whispers in question.
"You write poems?"
"No. Yes. I mean they're written like one of my people." The vampire begins walking back and forth across the room again. Seemingly more calm then before. "Someone from my home wrote this. Who could have sent it?" He mutters to himself.
"What do y-" Jungkook begins coughing when trying to speak. His throat growing increasingly sore. He strains to breath for a few seconds before Taehyung appears before him. He yelps before the other shushed him.
"I'm sorry." The vampire whispers, he doesn't look into Jungkooks eyes, like he's disappointed with himself. He caresses the hand print that forms around the others neck until it begins to fade. The bruise tingles Jungkook for a while, then the pain was gone. Just like the bruise.
"It's okay. You were concerned for your kingdom. Any great king would put his kingdom first." Jungkook tries to smile.
"No." Taehyung whines. The younger snaps his head up to the vampire, not used to this voice. "I hurt you." He whines again.
"No no. It's fine really. I mean it's not that bad. You healed me."
"You were scared." The vampire whispers. "You are scared. Of me. I felt it."
"What do you mean by, "you felt it"? Jungkook asks.
Taehyung takes Jungkooks hand and places it carefully to his chest, where his cold unbeating heart remains frozen. "I felt it. Here."
The human is taken aback. He's speechless from the vampires words. "When you hurt even the slightest. I hurt. My chest aches for you." He continues. "But somehow I keep hurting you. When I'm supposed to protect you."
With all the confessions and heart felt words Jungkook isn't able to speak. What should he say? How could he even say anything?
"I don't know if I can love the right way. So, I want you to show me the right way."
The youngers breath begins to quicken. His heart accelerates.
The vampires snags a hold of Jungkooks framed waist and pulls him close. "I've never....been...with a human before. So, you have to teach me. I keep forgetting how fragile you are." Taehyung rests his head in Jungkooks neck while inhaling his marvelous scent; that calms his being.
He presses soft kisses along the boys neck to his jaw.
"I-is this your way of a-apologising?" Jungkook stutters and covers the bright shade of red showing on his face. The vampire only hums in response, sending waves of vibrations down his spine. He noticed the way Taehyungs eyebrows furrow in thought. Somethings wrong. "Why are suddenly being so nice? What's going on?"
"You smell so good." The vampire ignores.
"Tell me what's going on. It's not going to work." Jungkook whines.
The vampire sighs.
"You've learned to read me well human." Taehyung chuckles.
Jungkook nods with a pout. "Tell me."
The vampire only stares at him.
Jungkooks seen this face before. The same face his mother gave him when she left him alone with his father to share a life with a blood sucker. The face of someone who's leaving. Leaving. He's leaving. Taehyungs leaving.
"Y-...yuh..You're leaving aren't you?" The younger finally speaks on his thoughts. "Tell me."
"Yes."
He takes a gulp of air.

Fleabag
In the deepest reaches of the Bone Pits, a canine seemingly like any other woke up in the ruined remains of a wooden box. With knowledge it shouldn't have, fleeting memories it couldn't reach, and the icy grasp of death crawling up its spine with every labored breath, it simply wished to live another day. Yet, in the bowels of a city built on metal corpses, nothing was ever simple. Of course, nobody said change would be simple, nor bloodless. And in the dark corners no one sees, in the shifting clouds of smog that none dare venture through, in the deepest reaches of the Dungeon that none but the mentally deranged dare challenge, the last wolf rakes its claws through steel and howls to a distant sky. Are you tired of fun monster evolution stories where the monster becomes increasingly less monstrous, and eventually they're just a more spicy version of a human and it stops being a monster evolution story?Well, i am.So- insert thanos meme where he says "fine, i'll do it myself"[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge.](The art in the book cover was made by an extremely talented artist named Chloe Bt, and she allowed me permission to use one of her renders as the main ingredient to my book cover, because she's fucking awesome.)

Overgrowth
I never thought I'd be killed by butterflies. But here I am... Edmon Valli was a smuggler, before a freak storm threw him off course and stranded him on a desert island smack in the middle of an uncharted monster zone. Trying his best to survive, or possibly even escape, he stumbles across the find of a lifetime: an unclaimed dungeon crystal. This is a dungeon-ish story, but without reincarnation or transmigration. I started it as a whim for NaNoWriMo so I may drop it any time after that... or I might not. My current plan is to write until I can reach some sort of conclusion and call it 'volume one'. I hope someone enjoys reading it for now! All comments, corrections, and criticism welcome.
