《Nightmare | Dream ✔️》𝙲𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚝𝚎𝚛 𝚂𝚒𝚡𝚝𝚢 𝙵𝚘𝚞𝚛

I shiver a little from the cold when I wake up from my dreams and lazily my eyes scan the room. I grumble a little because I need to get up but I really don't want too yet a second later I am sitting up in my childhood bed, looking around at my room.
It was exactly the same way that I had left it when I had turned eighteen and moved away to Brighton to live with Will. It was something my parents had both embraced but also mourned because I was getting a life of my own, and leaving them to do as they pleased during my absence, but Mum always did say she missed us both terribly. She had told me and Will that she would probably be adopting once the two of us were out of the house and at this point the two of us were waiting for the text to come and inform us that Mum probably did adopt a child or something.
I stand up, keeping one of my oversized blankets wrapped around my body as I move towards the desk in the corner of my room quietly. There are papers spread all across it, some with ideas and others with little doodles. There are notebooks on top of note books filled with drawings that I had made or just small notes so I didn't forget anything. I flip open the oldest one and can't help but laugh a little at my messy six year old handwriting.
It had been my Dads idea to give me all of the notebooks. He mainly did it because as a child it wasn't rare for someone to see me drawing on my skin or my school papers. I had kept them because Will had told me that I would regret it if I threw them away so there was just a neat stack of them on my desk at all times.

"Morning," Will says after knocking on my bedroom door which I had painted the inside of when I was fifteen. Mum had been more then angry but Dad had told her it was pretty good for a fifteen year old and eventually she let me keep it. I shoot him a smile back, seeing that he looks just as much of a mess as I do in the morning. It's always funny how much we look alike because if you were to put us side by side the only difference would be our height and the fact that I am a girl.
"Morning," I say and go to my closet, grabbing a large hoodie and look down at it to see our old college symbol embroidered on it. "How did you sleep?" I ask because I know I slept really well, this is our home and we had grown up here. Even if we had been out of the house for so long it still was our home.
"You know the answer," Will tells me and I shrug a little with a small grin. He runs his hand through his hair and looks over his shoulder. "Mum and Dad are up already." He tells me and I nod because from head I can Mum is already in the kitchen, probably making us breakfast like she used to do.
"Shall we?" I ask with a grin and he laughs.
"We shall." He tells me and we make our ways down the hall, entering the living room and we automatically turn to go to the kitchen. "Mum," Will says as we enter the large kitchen and see her hovering over the stove, eggs cooking as well as what I think are pancakes on them. He goes over to talk to her and I turn to see Dad entering the kitchen so I wrap my arms around him with a smile.

"Hi Dad," I say and pull away from him. He beams at me which makes me smile even brighter. Mum and Dad were always there for us growing up and they showed how much they loved us everyday we lived here, no matter how much we messed up. And trust me, Will and I have gotten into our fair share of trouble, especially when we are together which was why they were very hesitate when I asked if I could move in with Will.
"Hey Riv," Dad greets me as well and makes his way to the kitchen island. I can't even recall how many times Will and I had sat here, doing homework together and just talking. In the summers Dad would always tease the two of us for just hanging out in the kitchen but he never complained about it. "How is everything going?" He asks and I know he is asking about the States so I just shrug.
"It's fine, I suppose." I shrug as Mum and Will come join us at the table, both of them carrying plates. Mum carrying well more then my older brother then again she is used to serving the two of us.
"Suppose?" Dad asks a little suspicious look on his face and I nod a little, groaning internally because I shouldn't have said that. "What do you mean by that? Do you need to come home because you can always move back in. You're always welcomed River." He tells me going into protective father mode which Will had also managed to adopt from him over a few years.
"Drama with her boyfriend," Will nudges me and I glare at him because he knows that Clay and I are not communicating well right now. He gives me a little mischievous grin because he is Will.
"River has gotten herself a boyfriend?" Mum asks as we all sit down and Will hands me a plate to server myself, so I start taking what I want off the table which is pretty much almost everything because I love Mum's cooking.
"No, Mum," I say sarcastically and hear Dad laugh a little. "I'm going to be lonely forever."
"Haha, very funny." She says and we all laugh for a minute before eating some food, the television playing the news in the living room like it used to in our childhood as we would sit together and eat dinner.
"How about you, Will?" Dad asks and it's my turn to shoot him a grin because this is going to be good. "Met a girl yet?" He asks and Will gives me a warning look even thought I just smile proudly.
"Yeah, Will," I say with a grin, taking a bit of my toast as he glares at me from across the table.
