"This is so nice," I smile, tilting my head back as I sit crisscrossed on the sand, leaning on Dream a little. We had decided today was a good day for the beach when we woke up so I put a bikini on under a shirt and a pair of shorts, all of which I had bought when I was out with Anna not too long ago. We had been hanging out a bit more because Dream had started recording more videos with the DreamTeam and I understood that so I just started hanging out with more of the people on the SMP to record videos and Anna in real life so we could go to the movies or go shopping.
"My little Brit isn't used to the sun," Dream coos, kissing my forehead. I'm not really used to the sun if I was being honest, I hadn't gotten enough due to the fact that I really didn't go out when I was with Will because we were always busy plus when I came to the States I wanted explore and Dream joined me.
"Ok, American." I giggle and sigh because it's so nice to have the sun on my skin. It's one of the days where the beach has people but isn't that busy and the sun isn't too hot. I open my eyes and they land on the water that has sunshine bouncing off it making an amazing view. "I want to go into the water," I decide sitting up so I'm no longer leaning on Dream.
"So go," He simply says with his head back, staring at the blue sky and the clouds that pass every now and then.
"Come on?" I pout and his bright green eyes move off of the sky and land on me. He smiles at me but shakes his head no.

"Water cold," Dream says, his eyes not leaving mine but he grins while trying to pull me back into his arms. "Beach hot." He adds and I put my palms on his bare chest.
"Boring," I say, pulling on his hand as I get up and he follows after me with a sigh.
"I'm going to get something to eat," Dream comments as a family walks past, holding a box of pizza and some fries. We hadn't eaten yet today and we were both pretty hungry. "You want anything?" He asks and I shake my head no, looking back at the ocean as a group of boys holding beer bottles walk past.
"No," I hum, my eyes staying on the ocean. "I'm good thank you babe." I say and feel him wrap his arms around my waist from behind. I turn my head to see him glaring at the group of boys who seem to be staring at the group rather in our direction.
"Actually," He says as one of the boys looks back over here before quickly saying something to one of the other who just nods, taking a sip of his drink. "I think I will stay."
"You," I turn around and kiss him which makes him smile and taking his mind off of the group of boys. "Are such a big overprotective baby." I laugh at him and he makes a small face.
"No," Dream says, shaking his head slightly. He hums pulling me closer into his chest and I laugh a little. "Just want to make sure that the world knows that you are my girl." He grins as he says with voice getting quieter as the sentence goes on before he started kissing and sucking on my neck.

"Well," I grin and tilt my head up where he meets my eyes. "Come on," I say taking his hand and pulling myself away from him which makes him let out a groan of fake annoyance which I stick my tongue out at. "I am going into the water." I grin and he watches me as I walk away, whining about the cold water but still joins me in it.
"The water is cold," He complains as I swim out into the ocean and he comes into the water slowly because he must not be used to the cold.
"The water is nice." I shoot back because it's really nice, definitely warmer then it is back in London. I spin a little as Dream reaches my side and I move over to him, wrapping my legs around his waist.
"Hi," He grins, kissing me softly.
"Hi," I laugh, putting my palms on his chest as I look out at the ocean. It's funny to me because if we were to keep going that way on a plane or boat then we would eventually reach where my family is.
"Bye." Dream says out of no where and I turn to look to him because I'm not going anywhere.
"What?" I ask and before I know it I am surrounded by water and am swimming back up to the surface. "Hey!" I shout as Dream laughs at the fact that I am now soaking l. "You're so mean to me." I laugh lightly and splash him with some of the water.
"Awh," Dream coos at me and I splash him again, the smile on my face growing by the second. "I love you too baby." He grins, coming back to my side and kissing me.
"See," I smile as we look out again at where the water meets the sky. "It's not that cold." I giggle and look to him.
"I miss the heat." Dream whines and I shake my head, splashing him again but he grabs my waist and holds me tight before going underwater. I shake my head slightly as we hold our breath and he connects our lips which makes me smile before we break apart from the kiss after a few moments, needing air and going back to the surface.
"You big baby," I laugh as I try to catch my breath which makes him grin, pulling me close to him again as we catch our breath.

The Oresteia (Modernized)
All three of the great Greek Tragedians have written plays about the bloody chain of murder and revenge within the royal family of Argos. Yet theirs is in fact not a story of tragedy, but rather one of redemption. As they move from darkness to light, from rage to self-governance, from primitive ritual to civilized institution, their spirit of struggle and regeneration becomes an everlasting song of celebration to be heard throughout the ages. Forming a discourse set against the emergence of Athenian democracy out of a period of chaos and destruction, the Orestian plays are compelling stories of the tensions between our obligations to our families and the laws that bind us together as a society. In the beginning, we witness how a king’s decision to sacrifice his daughter and turn the tide of war inflicts lasting damage on his family, culminating in a terrible act of retribution. In the aftermath of regicide, we behold how a son must set out to avenge his father’s death by committing a most egregious sin. In the end, the sinner is tormented by supernatural powers that can never be appeased, but ultimately finds redemption and ends the curse on his house once and for all. Woven through all of this is the story of a friendship so close that it elevates itself to brotherhood - Where the blood of the covenant is shown to be indeed thicker than the water of the womb. In this very brief twelve-chapter modern rendition of the Orestian plays, I have chosen to place my focus mainly on the lives of the characters Orestes and his best friend Pylades. The chapters, each around 2000-2500 words, are split up evenly between them in first-person narrative. I hope that you will come to enjoy reading this heartwarming story, but more importantly, that you see how the conflicts portrayed in the story, whether human or institutional, are still much very relevant to our societies today. Note on Sources: The details of this story is very loosely based on The Oresteia by Aeschylus. And I mean very loosely. Other sources that I referenced for detail and inspiration are Mythology by Edith Hamilton, Electra by Sophocles, and Iphigenia in Tauris by Euripides. You may also find that I have quoted some of these works, and others (such as Shelley's Ozymondaeus), without citations (average of 1-2 such quotes per chapter). I did this because I do not have the ability to describe certain scenes nearly as well as some of those writers. If you read a particularly beautiful piece of prose here, chances are it's probably stolen lol. Also, I wrote this during the summer between my high school senior year and my college freshmen year. It was the summer of 2020, and being quarantined apparently gets my creative side out lol.
