Third person's point of view

"Sakuragi's Army? Tetsuo, who the heck are these annoying guys?!" Mitsui irritated asked the man who was smoking earlier before the fight.

"They those who came from Wakou Middle School, that five people group." The other man answered Mitsui's question.

"First years?"

"How many on the opposite side?" Noma asked.

Ookusu starts to count.

"Don't underestimate them... Hanamichi Sakuragi, Youhei Mito, and others." The man warned Mitsui but got attack by the three.

"Who are the 'others' bastard!"

"Nozomi Takamiya!"

"Yuuji Ookusu!"

"Ichirou Noma!"

"They're the Legendary Idiot Trio from Wakou..." Mito stated.

"What!?"

"Hey Youhei, don't joke like this!"

"And you Hanamichi! Don't laugh, cuz you're The King among the idiots!"

The three said.

"What?! Who's the King of Idiots! I'm a genius!" Sakuragi replied.

"Bastard... they don't even recognize our existence..." Mitsui stated.

"The basketball club! What are you doing in there?!" The sensei outside called while knocking at the door. "Hey! Open up the door! Open the door! What are you doing in there?!"

"Need to finish this up fast..." Mito said.

Their fight starts.

After a lot of punching here punching there, the sensei outside the gym. Mito punch Mitsui in the stomach making him clutch it and yelp in pain.

Mito grab his collar. "Say it! Say that you'll never trouble the basketball team again! And you'll never again set foot on the basketball court again!"

Tetsuo is about to land a punch on Sakuragi but failed because Sakuragi easily slap his arm. Tetsuo continues to land punches but failed as Sakuragi slaps them away.

"Dumbass. I already know your fighting style!" Sakuragi said.

"What fighting style! Dumbass this is not a comic book!" Tetsuo exclaimed as he was about to land another punch but Sakuragi is pissed and punch him first, Tetsuo hit his back at the gym door he yelps in pain.

"A total of 7 hits." Sakuragi said. "7 hits."

Sakuragi continue to punch Tetsuo and he landed on the floor with a bloody face. "That one was for Shio." Sakuragi said. "The next one is for Kaku." And punch him again. "This is for Rukawa." He said as he taps Tetsuo's cheek.

"F*ck you!" Tetsuo exclaimed as he was about to land anther punch but failed again.

"Next one would be... For Ryouta-kun!" Sakuragi said as he kicks him by the chin. Tetsuo falls backward as he yelps in pain.

"Mitsui" Kogure called as he adjusts his glasses.

"Sakuragi... So strong... Too strong!"

"He finally beat Tetsuo-kun!"

The two men from Mitsui's gang said. Sakuragi turn to them, they got scared and run towards the door.

"Don't kill me!"

"Don't kid me, that wasn't our business!"

They yelled as the run toward the door.

"Idiots! Don't open the door, there's – " Before Miyagi got the chance to finish his sentence, they open the door to revile the basketball captain, Akagi.

The two shouts in terror.

"Gori!" Sakuragi called.

"Great, the door's open! What are they doing? Move it, Akagi!" The sensei said to Akagi.

Akagi was first confused on what's going on, he immediately steps inside and quickly closed the door behind him so the sensei won't see what's going on. "There is... Secret training going on inside." Akagi excuse the sensei.

"Akagi..." Mitsui called.

"Hey! We are Shohoku's teachers, there's no need to keep it a secret!" The sensei argued. "Open it up! Akagi!"

"They are doing thus in order to figure out a plan for the summer competition... Those are my orders." Akagi replied.

Players has their sadness and worry plastered to their face as well as their 2 managers.

"Akagi captain... I am responsible for everything..." Miyagi said.

"Shut up, Miyagi!" Akagi dismissed Miyagi and walk pass him.

Akagi is now in front of Mitsui.

"That guy's been beaten half to death by Yohei, now he's going to be beaten by Gori..." Sakuragi said.

"He's gonna die!" The man said and made his way to Akagi. "Akagi! We... We're leaving! So... Akagi-kun! Hey!" He manages to say.

"Take off your shoes." Akagi bluntly said.

"Ah... Yes! Yes sir!" He said and immediately remove his shoes. The others followed.

"Mitsui." Akagi called.

"Huh... Gori knows him?" Sakuragi said with wide eyes.

"Kogure-san seems to know him too..." Miyagi said.

"Megane-kun?" Sakuragi asked, he made his way behind Kogure. "Hey, Megane-kun!"

Before Sakuragi got to ask Kogure a question, Akagi slaps Mitsui in the face.

"Akagi." Mitsui called again but gets slap again from Akagi.

"Mitsui..." Kogure started. "Used to be on the basketball team."

Everyone is shock in what Kogure just said.

"You... You're joking!?" Sakuragi exclaimed. "Is that true? Megane-kun!"

"Mitsui-san... Is it the truth?" Miyagi asked.

"Anyone from our grade knows about Hisashi Mitsui from Takeshi Middle School!" Kogure said.

"You're kidding!" Rukawa, Miyagi and Sakuragi stands there with surprised and shocked expressions.

Kogure tells them Mitsui's middle school basketball career. With Mitsui's 3-point their school win and Mitsui is awarded as the MVP of the game.

"Stop it, Kogure!" Mitsui yelled and grab Kogure by the collar. "Don't talk about the past! Huh!? Or else I'll kill you too! Kogure!"

Sakuragi steps behind Mitsui and he start to hit his head and bring him to headlock.

"Keep going Megane-kun! What happens next?" Sakuragi asked.

Kogure continues to tell the story. Mitsui entered Shohoku High School and joined the basketball team. Then they met Akagi, Mitsui's mentioned his goal was to lead Shohoku to victory in The National Championship and become Japan's number 1. He and Akagi has the same goal for the team. Anzai-sensei instructed to have a practice match between the players. Mitsui vs Akagi. Mitsui said that 'Even if you guys are all together, you still can't beat me! I'll let you see the difference between genius and normal people!'

"What bullshit!" Sakuragi suddenly exclaimed. "What genius!"

"He's just like you... Calling yourself genius!" Miyagi said to Sakuragi.

"He doesn't even have the skill!" Rukawa said and pointed his finger to Sakuragi.

"Shut up!" Sakuragi shout at Rukawa.

Kogure said in the story that Akagi is not good at dribbling.

"Even Gori did that kind of thing at that time..." Sakuragi stated.

"Shocking." Miyagi said.

"Shut up! Kogure! Don't mention things that aren't important or I'll kill you!" Akagi said while holding Kogure's collar.

"Mitsui's shooting was very accurate." Kogure continued. "At that time, it's hard to imagine... That Mitsui would turn out like this."

At Kogure's story, Mitsui provoked Akagi by calling him gorilla. Akagi do a dunk out of frustration. Mitsui called it Gorilla Dunk. Mitsui was praised for having an accurate shoot while Akagi in rebounds, at that time, Akagi was very bad at free-throws. For the first time in their game, Akagi prevent Mitsui from shooting by slapping the ball out of his hand. It was the beginning; every time Mitsui is shooting Akagi always blocks him. Suddenly, Mitsui felt pain from his knee and was sent to the hospital. Despite being injured, Mitsui still practice and it made his knee injury worse.

"Mitsu! Is your knee healed?" Akagi cut Kogure and asked Mitsui.

Mitsui did not answer. Kogure takes that as a sign to continue the story.

The competition came, Mitsui did not get to play due to his injured knee and he feel devastated.

"From that day on... Mitsui never returned here... To this basketball arena." Kogure ended his story.

"Kogure..." Mitsui finally spoke. "Are you done b*tch*ng?" Mitsui irritably asked.

"But it's the truth! Mitsui." Kogure replied.

"So, Mitsui has such a past with the basketball club... We didn't know at all..." One of Mitsui's men said.

"If he wasn't injured, then he would have been the chief player of Shohoku." Takamiya said.

"Impossible! I am the only chief player in Shohoku!" Sakuragi dismissed what Takamiya said.

"Micchi... You wanted to return to the basketball club right..." The man said to Mitsui. He is punch by Mitsui in the stomach.

"Stop it, Mitsui!" Kogure yelled.

"Shut up!" Mitsui said and shove away Kogure.

"Hey! D*ckless punk, are you trying to get beat up again?" Sakuragi yelled he was about to make his way over but Akagi stop him.

"Don't go messing around!" Akagi said.

"Mitsui..." Kogure called while fixing his glasses. "Your knee... It's healed right? Come back... Come back and play with us again!"

Mitsui push Kogure hard. "You think I am stupid? Only idiots will play with you! Basketball to me, is only a memory! I am here to beat up Miyagi and Sakuragi! Don't bring up what happened in the past, basketball is just a club activity! I don't want to play anymore; you got a problem with that?" Mitsui yell.

Kogure got back on to his feet and hold Mitsui by the collar. "What about winning The National Championship... Ah?! What about Japan's number 1... What about making Shohoku strong... Are those all b*llsh*t?" Kogure yells. "You are so impersistent, Mitsui. You can't even handle a small disappointment, let alone winning The National Championship... Stop day dreaming!"

"Kogure..." Mitsui called. "That's the past! It has nothing to do with me anymore!" Mitsui yells and push Kogure.

"Mitsui..."

"Miyagi..."

"The one who stayed in the past is you..." Miyagi said and point his finger to him.

Everyone's attention is turn to the gym door they hear someone knocking. "It's me! Please open the door."

Ayako opens the door to revile Anzai-sensei.

"Oh?" Anzai-sensei spoke.

Suddenly, Mitsui is crying and got down on his knees in front of Anzai-sensei. "I really want to play basketball..." Mitsui cries.
