Third person's point of view

Everyone continues to practice. Sakuragi is practicing pass with Ayako and the others is at the court doing passing and shooting.

"Sakuragi is starting to become more like a basketball team member now." Kogure said to Akagi.

"Really?" he replied.

"He digests the stuff that he's taught pretty fast. This is the first time I've seen a person like this." Kogure explained to Akagi.

"He's brainless! That's why he can understand so easily!" Akagi reasoned. "Double shot!"

Akagi do a double shot leaving Kogure in his own.

Kogure made his way to Y/n to see how she is doing.

"Y/n-chan." He calls the girl writing notes at the side lines. "Can I see the notes you have taken?"

"Of course, Kogure-senpai." Y/n said and give the notebook to her sempai.

"Hmm, according to you notes, Akagi must require very good skills and luck." Kogure said while looking at the notes. "Rukawa also joined the team this year... I guess he is going to steal away my senior position anytime now."

"Kogure-senpai how is that possible?" Y/n asked. "His still a freshman."

"I know. But in this case, the strength of the Shohoku team will increase." Kogure explained to Y/n. "I'm okay with Rukawa taking my senior position because I believe he can take us to Nationals. I'm now really looking forward to it!"

"Well, I'm sure Kaede-kun will not disappoint you, Kogure-senpai." Y/n said and smiled up to his senpai.

"Rukawa-kun! Do your best!" The girls from the door yelled.

Everyone's attention in now in the three girls.

"Waa! He's looking this way! He's looking this way!" They cheered.

"Rukawa is very quiet but sure is popular." Ayako said while nudging Rukawa.

"What?" Rukawa said with is signature facepalm.

Sakuragi made his way to the three girls by the door.

"Would you three please stop shouting Rukawa Rukawa." Sakuragi said while stopping himself from getting pissed. "We are trying to practice."

"Never would have thought he is shy in front of girls." Ayako said while watching the scene unfold.

The three girls started to talk about what they have heard about Sakuragi.

Sakuragi is started to get pissed.

He can't take it anymore; he slams the door shut in the face if the three girls.

The door open and everyone's attention is at the door once again.

An old man with glasses was the one who opened the door.

"Oh... You guys are practicing!" The old man said.

"Hey hey! Who are you old geezer?" Sakuragi asked. "Don't walk around here!"

"Hm! Who are you? What's with your hair?" The old man asked.

"What right do you have to talk about me?! You old geezer!" Sakuragi said, he's getting pissed again. Sakuragi pat hard the old man's stomach. "What's with your belly? Double chin! Just by pulling it makes it longer!" Sakuragi is pulling the old man's chin.

Everyone is starting to panicking because of what Sakuragi is doing.

"You don't even know my great name? Then I'll tell you." Sakuragi said confidently while his hands on his hips. "I am the basketball genius, Sakuragi!"

Akagi suddenly punched Sakuragi's head.

"I'm very sorry, Anzai-sensei!" He said while bowing down a bit. "I will punish that brat in a while."

"Oh, forget it, Akagi." The old man or should I say Anzai-sensei said while waving his hands, dismissing what Akagi said. "Don't worry, I don't mind."

"Sensei!?" Sakuragi shocked said.

"Idiot!" Ayako said to Sakuragi. "Anzai-sensei only comes here once in a while. Don't underestimate him, he was the best basketball player in Japan when he was young."

"Oh, I've heard about him." Y/n said joining their conversation. "He was well known as the 'Evil Captain' at a certain university because of his scary attitude. So, everybody calls him 'White Haired Demon. Is he still the 'White Haired Demon' they were talking about?"

"No, he is now called 'White Hair Buddha' because his scary personality changed." Ayako explained.

"Oh yeah! I organized the practice match, the opponent is Ryonan High School." Anzai-sensei informed.

"Ryonan High School?!" Everyone yelled in shock. "It was one of the four strongest team last year!"

"Hmm... A lot of new members this year." Anzai-sensei said ignoring everyone's statement just now. "Okay! Let's start a match between the first years and the senior students!"

"What?! A match!?" Sakuragi yelled in excitement.

"You are still not ready for any matches yet." Akagi said to Sakuragi.

"Why suddenly a match?!"

"I think it's to see the strength of the first years' students." Kogure explained. "Since there's not enough second year and first year's, maybe the best players of the first year's will be chosen for the tournament."

"This is going to be interesting!" Ayako said. "The first years against the second and third years."

"Yeah, I'm excited!" Y/n said.

"Hmph! This isn't interesting and excited at all!" Sakuragi said while his hand is inside his shorts.

"Oh! Haruko-chan!" Y/n said.

"Haruko! You've arrived at the right time!" Ayako said.

"What? A match? First years against the higher years?!" Haruko said excitedly. "Is Sakuragi-kun going to play too?"

"Haruko-chan, Akagi-senpai didn't allow Sakuragi to play." Y/n said.

"And Sakuragi Hanamichi still needs more practice on the basics." Ayako added.

"Oh yeah... That's true. Sakuragi-kun just started to learn basketball." Haruko said. "This can't be helped then. Onii-chan said if you try your best, someday you will get your reward. So, Sakuragi-kun you don't have to rush, because I believe what onii-chan says is true."

"Haruko-san." Sakuragi said while blushing.

"But first years against the second and third years." Ayako started. "In other words,"

"It means It's Akagi-senpai against Kaede-kun." Y/n continue.

"That's right." Ayako approved.

"Kaede-kun!?" Haruko shocked said.

"Hmm, Kaede-kun." Y/n said.

"When did you start calling Rukawa-kun by his first name?" Haruko asked Y/n

"Umm, since last year." Y/n said. "Why did you ask?"

"Are you two friends?" Haruko asked.

"Yup, he said I was his only friend." Y/n answered.

"Oh, that's nice." Haruko said and smiled at Y/n.

"Okay! Game start!"

After the players greet each other. The game started.
