:::y/n:::
After the entire ceremony, everyone was worn out. After the guests have left, father went to do some work whereas mother left somewhere else. Though she never specified where. I didn't think too much of it. I had went to my room to change out of my outfit since it was a little uncomfortable. I soon heard a knock a little after I had finished changing.
"Coming!"
I rush to the door and open it. I saw Ara standing there with a box in her hand.
"Hey Ara!" I let her in and we both sit down on my bed. "What's in the box?"
Ara put her hands out and handed me the box. I looked at her with a confused look.
"Is it...for me?"
She nods and smiles. I take the box and open it. Inside the box was something very shiny but small. I took it out and we both admired it's beauty.
Ara broke the silence, "Isn't it pretty? I asked my friend from the Yeon family for one."
The jewel was indeed from the Yeon family. It was the jewel of a zigena. It was very beautiful and represented the Yeon family.
"Thank you Ara," I look at one more time before carefully placing it back in the box. "You really didn't have to do this!"
I close the box and she hugs me.
"Of course I do! Like I said, this is a big day for you! You accomplished something big!"
I laugh and hug her back.
"But I could accomplish bigger."
She lets go and holds my shoulder.
"Come on. You've accomplished something! Maybe once in your life don't compare your accomplishments with your father."
I smile at her.
I guess it's true that I've always wanted to be like father. Father was an elite person and is above all. I guess I really admired that. But Ara was right. I did something big for once!

I look at her and grin.
"Let's go to the garden! Race ya there!" I stand up and run out. I could hear Ara complain in the background. "LAST ONE THERE IS A LOSER!"
"Y/N! Not fair!"
I laugh as she's nearing me. It was nice to laugh and have fun. Being the daughter of Jahad meant many restraints. I suppose I just haven't felt this lively in a while.
