Charlotte knew that her luck was bad. She even stuck in the Team B because of her rotten luck (although it was actually because of the rankers). But she never thought that she would be unlucky again in this morning as she was not talking to Altaira, but Khun instead.
She even called him "ruthless", will he skin her alive for it? Aside from it, she felt that she had said nothing wrong.
But still, even if he was planning about how to skin her alive, it was not her fault, but his. He clearly knew that she was talking to her brother but he remained silent and heard everything. He didn't even show any remorse!
"Ah, are you done talking?" He asked with a friendly smile.
If this was someone else then Charlotte would have probably fight with him. But considering that she was still too weak, the result of the fight will be very clear as she would be the one who gets beaten up instead.
"Why did you lie to me?" Charlotte asked.
"I never said I am your brother" Khun defended himself.
Next time, Charlotte would see who she was talking with so that she won't mistook someone else as another person. She had to prevent this from happening again.
"But you just need to say that you aren't Brother Altaira" Charlotte said again. Will it hurt to tell her that she was talking with the wrong person?
"You look very serious when you are talking" Khun said. "I don't want to bother you."
There was an irk mark on her head. Now, Charlotte felt both awkward and irritated. She really believed that Brother Altaira was the one who listen to all her words but what is this? At this kind of moment, maybe it would be better if Charlotte looked for something that she could use to hit her own head and forget this.
"Ah right, the poem that you recited before, what is it called?"
She wanted to hit her own forehead.
Since Charlotte was supposed to grow in the dark snd secluded place, she was supposed to not have any chance to learn about poems. He must have suspected her for it. Congratulations, she had just made herself looked suspicious.
"The poem....is called On the Stork Tower" she said while rubbing the back of her head and looked away.
She wanted to cry but she can't cry. She wanted to laugh but she can't laugh. She wanted to run away but it would only make her look suspicious.
"On the Stork Tower?"
Charlotte won't be surprised if Khun had no idea about what it is. After all, the poem that she was reciting was from her former world, from where she came from.
Charlotte coughed and then said, "Ah, it occured to me that I have something to do. Celeste must be looking for me now. Then I should go first and not bother you, have a nice day."
She really didn't expect to fool Khun with this kind of excuse but it was better than not trying right? After she said those words, she immediately walked away, restraining herself from running away and made her look obvious.
Khun had always thought that Charlotte was afraid of him for she had always run away from him. Unlike how she talked with Bam and Altaira and laughed around whenever she was with them, she always felt nervous and awkward around him. Was he that scary?
But the poem that she recited was a little interesting for him. He didn't expect that a girl who lived in a secluded place could learn well about poems and recite it as if she had learnt it for a long time. He had never heard about the poems before and never cared about those since he was rather focused in his own business, but hearing her reciting that poem made him wonder who taught her those? After all, it can't be Bam, Rachel or Altaira right?

Charlotte had asked Altaira and Celeste to help her so that she would get stronger. Altaira assumed that it was because of Hoh's death and he guessed it right. Yesterday, she wanted to finish things with her own ability but turned out, she was still weak. She wanted to get stronger as soon as possible.
"I don't mind helping you" Celeste said. "But today, you should rest more. Rushing things won't be good."
Charlotte smiled and nodded her head in obedience. Celeste was right. Rushing things won't be good for her. She should take it slow but steady.
"Charlotte?" Bam called her. "Can you come here with me for awhile? I have something to tell you."
"Whatever you want to say, can't you say it here?" Altaira asked, giving him the doubtful look.
"This is our personal matter" Bam countered his words. "There is no need to involve an for it."
His words stabbed Altaira right on where it hurts. He even emphasized the word "outsider" on purpose in order to anger him. And it worked very well.
"Brat! Did you say that on purpose?" He asked and sent a death glare on purpose.
"I'm only stating the fact" Bam said and held Charlotte's wrist. "Let's go, Charlotte."
While Celeste was trying to calm Altaira down, Noah decided to follow them. The ghost had a feeling that there will be something interesting.
Khun's Room
Turned out, the reason why Bam was looking for her was because he wanted to bring her to greet Khun and found Rak inside Khun's room. Now that the three of them were there, he told them that Rachel was a cripple and she can't even walk anymore.
Noah found it suspicious, "I swear I see Hoh stabbed her on her back. So how can she become a cripple?"
Charlotte understood how it feels to be a cripple. She used to be one before. Now that she knew that Rachel was just pretending, she clenched her fists in anger. If Rachel really wanted to be a cripple, then Charlotte would gladly help her for it. Why bother pretending when Charlotte could help her?
"Charlotte" Khun's voice made her snap from her thoughts. "Do you hear what we said?"
"A- ah? Yes?" Charlotte asked and tilted her head. She relaxed her hands. "What did you say?"
"I said that we are going to find a way to help Rachel to climb this tower" Khun answered. "You agree with me right?"
She wondered if this man noticed her gesture before. If he does, then things would be hard. She shouldn't have let her emotions get ahead of her.
Charlotte faked a smile and answered, "Of course. It's indeed a nice idea. But how are we going to do that?"
Never once in her life that Charlotte thought she would say those words about Rachel. Never once she thought that she would be saying the words that support Rachel.
Bam said that he had a plan. But Charlotte didn't expect that he would go around and ask people to help them. Charlotte didn't want to do this but since she was the "good sister of Bam", she should help him.
Those regulars were busy already helping themselves. How could they possible help them? It wasn't like they owe the two of them something right?
Endorsi wondered why Bam and Charlotte were obsessed with Rachel when the only one who was obsessed with her was Rachel and not her. Bam told Endorsi that Rachel was their first friend and their light. So of course, wherever she went, then Ban wanted to follow her.

But Bam didn't know that the one who wanted to chase Rachel was herself. Charlotte was there just to help him and not Rachel.
Actually, if Rachel didn't want to be with him, if Rachel didn't care for him, then Charlotte was fine with it. She would be following Bam until her time was up.
First Hall
The regulars gathered there and waited for the rankers to read about the result. If course, Charlotte and her team and friends passed the test. She sighed in relieve.
But it was a shame for the others that Rachel didn't pass the test. And maybe to her as well. If Rachel didn't pass the test, then they would be facing more dramas.
Khun stepped down and walked to the stage as he wants to meet the administrator to take the test. He wanted to take a test for Michelle Light so that she could pass.
If the administrator agreed on changing the results, then Michelle Light might pass and the rankers can't do anything about it. The rankers who served as the supervisors were only helping the administrator and the administrator was the one who held the final words. Khun was confident that he would pass the test but the problem was that only irregulars could take this test.
Charlotte really wished that she could punch the coffee machine for once. When he said that only irregulars could take this test, he was obviously throwing the bait and the naive Bam fell for it and admitted loudly that he was an irregular.
Irregulars were the threat for Zahard and the Ten Great Families. Even though Zahard and the Ten Great Families were also the irregulars, all irregulars were blessed with talents and tremendous power and they could bring the wave of change to the tower. In another word, the moment Bam revealed himself as the irregular, he had put himself and Charlotte in danger.
Charlotte stood up. Altaira held his hand and asked, "Are you sure about this?"
"He had announce it to everyone" Charlotte said. "As his sister, I can't escape this responsibility."
Altaira had just seen his sister again and now they were going to depart. So if course he felt sad and worried.
Charlotte pulled her own hand and then took a deep breath before she asked, "Since the two of us are the irregulars, then can we take this test, Test Director Hansung Yu?"
If one heard her voice clearly then they would realize when Charlotte called Hansung Yu, her words were filled with anger that was being suppressed.
The room was deadly quiet.
Hansung Yu smirked, "Very well then, follow me."
Bam looked at Charlotte who smiled and held his hand. She pulled him down to the stage, "Let's go."
•••
After meeting the administrator, Hansung Yu admitted that it was all his plan. He was the one who made Rachel became a cripple.
Hansung Yu also wondered why Bam was so obsessed with Rachel. Compared to the money, glory and fame, he was more concerned about Rachel's safety.
When Bam pulled her hand and dragged her to leave the place as he didn't want to see Hansung Yu, Charlotte glanced at Hansung Yu who just smiled to her. When she noticed that he was still smiling, Charlotte knew that this man was incurable. She left without looking back again.
Next Morning
They were holding a funeral for Hoh who killed himself in the middle of the position test.
Hoh looked like he was sleeping. He looked like he was just sleeping without knowing that he would be buried. He was sleeping and he won't wake up anymore. And this thought made Charlotte felt sad.
He won't wake up again. The thought of death people won't wake up again scared her.
When Bam tapped her shoulder, he looked worried of her. She looked uneasy and really sad. But when she saw Bam's worried expression, she forced herself to smile and said, "I'm alright, brother. I'm just a little tired."
"Then you should go and get some rest" Bam said. "Do you want me to follow you?"
"No need" Charlotte said with a smile. "I could go on my own."
Bam lowered his hand and then let Charlotte left. He was still worried.
Even though Charlotte kept telling him to stay away from Hoh, his death seemed to be affecting her. If Bam didn't remind Khun about this, then Khun would have really forgotten that Charlotte disliked Hoh.
Since she disliked him, why did she feel sad for his death? He didn't understand her and felt that there was something missing.
•••
For the next few days, Charlotte has been spending more time with Altaira and Celeste to train. Bam himself was busy with Princess Endorsi as she was training him.
For Altaira, other than training Charlotte, sometimes he would also show off to Rak in order to motivate him. Whenever Rak felt irritated since this turtle was better than him, Rak practiced even more.
Rak didn't know about Altaira's good intention and when he had it enough, the mini-sized Rak stepped on his foot and argued with Altaira who wanted to turn him into a soup.
•••
Charlotte handed Altaira a book.
"What is this?" Altaira asked and flipped through the pages. "Are these the spoilers that you want to give for me?"
"Who told you to die before the season ends?" Charlotte asked.
Altaira smiled playfully, "I see someone doesn't spend her time to learn more and improve her grades, but waste her time reading novels and Manhwa."
Noah chuckled when he heard about that.
"Well, thanks to my hobby, I have lots of useful information now" Charlotte said. She tapped his shoulder and said, "Since I have given you this, then I hope that you won't change the storyline too much. Otherwise, things would be complicated."
Altaira smiled and replied, "Alright, alright. I will listen to you."
"Okay then!" She happily responded.
•••
Charlotte then handed Anaak the Black March. Anaak was surprised that Charlotte would be the one who hand the Black March to her when she didn't care for the Black March again.
She had more friends now. After she spent those days with them, she didn't realize that she had forgotten about the Black March.
Anaak didn't believe when Charlotte said that she would give Black March to her just to make her became her friend. She felt suspicious of it.
Charlotte really wanted to be friend with these notable characters and get in their good sides. And it was also because that the owner of the Black March will come to get her Black March again that she wanted to give it to Anaak. In this way, the storyline won't change although she felt like she was passing a bomb to someone else.
This Black March, when she knew that she would be handed for the lizard, she has been shouting at Charlotte, asking Charlotte to give herself to Bam.
"I just hope that we could work together for the final exam" Charlotte earnestly said.
Anaak, after she pondered about her decision, at the end, she agreed to take the Black March.
"So you just need my help for the final exam right?"
Charlotte nodded her head. When Anaak took the Black March, she said, "It's a deal then."
After handing the Black March, Charlotte planned to head back to Altaira or Celeste but she didn't expect that in the middle of her way, she bumped again to Khun!
And it seemed like he has been standing there for a long time and long enough to eavesdrop on their conversation.
Charlotte, "......."
"When you say that you needed Black March, I thought you are going to use it for something important" he said to her. "So you still decide to give the Black March to the lizard?"
Charlotte scratched the back of her head and looked away, "I.....just want to get along with everyone."
"Does that include Hoh?" He asked. "If you really want to get along with everyone, then why did you keep asking Bam to avoid him?"
Charlotte knew that this man came to look for her not without any questions to ask. Charlotte had assumed that asking the Black March from him, with training as the excuse, won't be good enough. Honestly, after the position test, she didn't want to give the Black March back to Khun but he was the one who asked for it.
And she didn't have any good excuse to deny it and that he would always have his own ways to get what he wanted.
"No" she muttered.
"Hm?" Her words were too soft that Khun can't hear it clearly. "Why do you dislike Hoh, Charlotte?"
Charlotte really can't think of any idea and she felt that with Khun around, she can't think clearly.
She could only came up with a reason that she found silly.
"I.... it's because I...... don't like having him around with my brother."
Khun, "........"
Charlotte didn't need anyone to remind her that her answer was weird, strange and silly. Anyone could tell that it was a lie! She was crying inside, really. But she didn't have any other idea to use.
"So you are jealous of him?" Khun asked. He smiled and then said, "Well, you do look like an ignored sister whenever he is around. But if you put it in that way, does that mean you are also jealous whenever I spend time with Bam?"
She immediately shook her head. If she agreed with his words, then she must have gone mad.
"Why is that?"
"Because you are nice to my brother."
"If Hoh didn't come up with that scheme, he is also a nice person right? Why are you treating the two of us differently?" He asked.
"Why are you so curious about it anyway?" Charlotte wondered.
"Pure curiosity" he replied.
