《Strange world》fresh, fallen

Strange snow — such dainty downy feather mounds

afloat midair — unforeseen, this early morning sight

A snow that fell in strangely too-large flakes, like fists,

all through the silent icy night

tops every so-strange mid-November leaf today

Strange snowfall too! so queer for this autumnal time of year —

ought to be dull dreary wetcoast (wetfoot)rain

Strange foliage! for cold dark month

when trees should be all naked bare

Strange sparkle sunlight! pouring down when normal mode is

greygreygrey

Sharp sunrays touch, caress, Illuminate each bright white puff

glow crazy red! or gold, or green below

September's colours, blazing boldly forth so oddly late today

All so strange, so clearly dangerous, and yet feels . . . innocent?

Just what it is, light living, leaves growing, being red, gold, green

Can't help but see the vivid vital beauty

can't help but smile . . . and, almost, wonder

Does deadliness that all this climate queerness must portend

intensify seductive glitter beauty here

(at least for crazy, soured, hopeless/hapless me?)
