Short one turns back, heads outside

Sexy tall one pulls out phone and makes a call

Disses short one energetically

while staring at her through the window glass

Owner drifts over toward the other front machine

Calm, unhurried, stands and fiddles there a moment

Then quietly tells sexy to pull up her pushed-down mask

And she, immediately, complies!

Short one comes back in, asks owner standing there

please tell his customers that masking is required

He widens eyes, all shock, says but everyone IS wearing masks!

As if he hadn't —just that minute — told sexy one to put hers on

And then he strolls away — sexy pulls her black mask down

Resumes her lively unobstructed phone convo

But breaks off when the short one, once again

Requests that she resume her facial covering

The theory earlier expressed — that short one has no right to ask

has no authority in here, that she is crazy

just pathetic, all of that —

gets boldly voiced by sexy once again
