Our tears have the ability

to do so much. They can blur lines,

create splashes of colour where

they do not belong and make the

entire world appear as though it

is melting away. Maybe that

is why we cry when we are sad:

because our world—as a result

of pure, raw melancholy—is

running like watered-down paint runs

down a canvas; our universe

just dissolving, melting away.
