"she says they miss me," i tell nick who is sitting next to me.
"leave her on delivered."
"i did."
"dont you need to pack your stuff?"
"i can do that pretty quickly its fine."
he gives me a random hug. ive been getting a lot of hugs lately. you could probably guess why, im leaving mass in less than a month. nick is such a comforting person. it feels so nice to have him with me. same with chris. im gonna miss so much about him.
im going to miss chris':

i would bring chris with me if i could.
"promise to text and call us everyday?" nick asks.
"definitely," i reply.
just then, my mom calls me. i let it ring for a while.
"i think you should answer that," nick suggests.
"i dont wanna talk to her."

that week turned into two weeks. then to three. then to the day i had to leave.
i sat in my room crying because i had to go to the airport in a couple hours. im texting chris as if these are my final hours alive. he lets me know that hes coming over to comfort me.
i hear knocking and run out my room to the door.
i run into him and start to sob into his shoulder while he pets my hair and hugs me. im gonna miss this.
"we'll come visit some time," chris whispers.
i pull away from the hug and he wipes my tears with his thumbs. he finally comes into the house and we go to my room.

"i have a something for you," he says.
he hands me a small box with a note attached to it. i take it and read the note.
"since we wont be seeing each other that much anymore, i got you a gift to remind you of me. remember that i love you so much and will never forget about you"
i smile up at chris and open the box. it had a necklace in it with out names beautifully engraved in it. i immediately put it on and give chris a hug.
"i love it. thank you."
i get up and walk to my mirror to see myself with it. i smile wide and hold the necklace in my hand.
