《I hate you - chris sturniolo》Chapter 10.

I saw the boys filming what looked like blindfolded baking in the kitchen.
I heard them all mumbling so I decided to interrupt since I was standing there like a statue.
I cleared my throat (no answer)
I cleared my throat even louder (no answer)
"YO" I said standing there with my hands in front of me.
"Oh hey, we're ready, yn your on Chris' team and your baking." Nick said.
"Okay."
I walked over to where Chris was and he moved behind me. I saw him pick up a bandana from the counter then I realised he was blindfolding me. I stood ready for him to blindfold him (which he did) and he grabbed my waist, guiding me to the spot where I was supposed to be baking.
skiptime
After we had baked the batter for the cupcakes and put them in the oven we tidied up. I was walking along the floor to go wash my hands when I didn't notice a slight bit of batter on the floor and slipped. I squinted my eyes for the crash landing on the floor. I didn't feel myself hit the floor but I did feel a pair of hands on me. One on my neck and one on my back. I opened my eyes to see that Chris caught me.
"U-uh thanks." I gave him one of my nice smiles and he shot me one back.
I stood up to eventually wash my hands and could still feel him looking at me, I brushed it off and then the alarm on nicks phone went off for the cupcakes to be taken out the oven.
I was blindfolded and came back out nicks bedroom do decorate them. I carefully spread vanilla icing over the top of the cupcake and added sprinkles (not too much) but enough for me and Chris.

Me and Matt took our blindfolds off and looked at our decorated cupcakes.
I looked over at matts to see he did a sprinkle overload. I chucked while I looked at my mess. I didn't have a lot of mess as Matt but we still had to clean it no matter what or Mary-Lou would tell us off.
I licked off the icing on my right hand and used my free hand to point at Matts mess and said, "bro he made more mess than me." I laughed.
"SHUSH YOU!" Matt said in a 'baby' way.
I chuckled.
We did the taste test and we all voted that mine and Chris' team (the namaslay).
"YES!!' I shouted and jumped onto Chris while he wrapped his arms around my waist, spinning me round.
"Yeah yeah you win, let's watch a movie then we'll go to sleep cause it's currently 11:48pm." Nick said like a sore loser.
"I'm down!" Me and Chris said at the same time.
I looked at him and said, "Jinx!"
I laughed as me and Chris walked to the living room.

A Demon Lord's Reincarnation
Selina’s got a pretty active imagination. When doing math, she pretends that she is a great detective solving a heinous crime! Ordinary tasks, like a trip upstairs, turn into a perilous adventure to raid a dragon’s cave! She believes that life should be full of wonder and magic, and tries to force the world to cope with her conviction! But when Selina wakes up to remember her past life as the Demon Lord, she has to face the fact that real life is messy, and not anything like what she imagined. With ancient powers stirring, family problems, and the hectic life of a teenager, Selina will have to discover more about herself if she is going to survive the trials ahead. With the help of her best friend and a fair share of luck, she might just get through this alive. Maybe. (Updates (hopefully) on Sundays) This story started out as a flipped isekai. Instead of a hero being pulled into a medieval world, a Demon Lord is pulled into the modern world. It has since moved a bit beyond that initial premise but it is the foundation of the work. Along the way, I threw in dragons, elves, dwarves, and some vampires (but no werewolves, gotta nip that in the bud) all wrapped up in the political drama of a modern world. The story, however, will mainly focus on the characters and their development and as such, is a bit of a slow burn. It may take a couple of chapters to get into. You have been warned! (PS, please show patience for the author's notes. They're a bit crazy and don't always make the most sense. The author's a bit of a ditz. Please ignore him.)

Flashback: Siren Song
The year is 1969. Yancy Lazarus—bluesman, gambler, future world-class mage and fix-it man—is just a dumb, unlucky kid serving with the 3rd Battalion 3rd Marines in Vietnam. With just a few weeks left to go until Yancy gets shipped back to the States, he’s just trying to keep his head down and avoid a body bag—no mean feat in Nam. But when his squad is tasked with conducting a routine patrol deep in enemy territory, everything goes to nine kinds of hell, and he quickly sees his chances at survival slipping away. When the radio operators start to pick up some funky, dirty ol’ blues all the way out in the backcountry, it’s a nice change of pace. At least until the men in Yancy’s squad start losing their minds, turning on each other with murderous intent as the music works its deadly power within them. Convinced it’s some kind of new psychological warfare initiative, the squad leader forces the men to push deeper and deeper into the Vietnamese jungle, obsessed with locating the music’s source. What they find, however, isn’t some new technology, but an ancient spirit awoken by the terrible war. Even worse, the music is changing Yancy too, awakening something buried inside of him. Only one thing is certain, nothing is ever going to be the same.See how it all began … *** PRAISE FOR SIREN SONG:Hunter's writing is as low-down, gritty, and insidious as the blues Yancy Lazarus loves. Just like the mysterious music drifting through the jungle toward Yancy's squad, Siren Song will get under your skin and sink its hooks into your mind. —eden Hudson, Author of Halo Bound (the Redneck Apocalypse series) *** Hey everyone, this is James Hunter. This story isn't a full length novel--its a novella length work (25K words), and is part of my Yancy Lazarus series. Its already free on Amazon, so I thought I'd post chapters here for the good folks of Royal Road. If you don't want to wait for updates or would prefer to read it on Kindle, you can pick it up for free here: https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B01066TLC0
