《MC's Indigo (Broken Demons MC #2)》Chapter 2 - Indigo

He's dead. Daddy's dead, daddy's dead. I should be throwing a fucking party but I can't. Even though he is the reason I am this way, now he is dead I don't know what I do. I knew what would happen every day, I knew the routine, I knew what to do. Now there are strangers in my house and I don't know what to do
"Indi, are you going to come downstairs and thank everyone for helping out?" Eugh, Peter, my dads 'best friend' he didn't even know who my father was.
"Get these strangers out of my fucking house. I don't need help." I shout through the locked door. I can do that now, no one has a key, only me.
"Indi, we're just worried about you." Peter replies
"I'm fine, you can go now" I shout as I drag the knife across my thigh again, I smile as the fresh wound opens, nothing cures me like this, not the stupid meds, not the therapist my dad made me lie to, nothing.
"Indi, your cousin is here, you going to come and meet him?" Peter shouts
"Only if everyone else leaves." I reply. I stand and put a dressing on my thigh, I'll stitch it later, I grab my jeans and check myself out in the mirror, my long black hair hanging down to my hips, it's clean for a change, my 'painfully thin figure' which looks fine to me and I still have my large boobs, they never go, no matter how little I eat. My dark eyes look almost black, black like my nail polish and my soul. My skin is milky white from never going outside, but I like it that way. I sigh and unlock my bedroom door, I open it slightly and check if anyone is there, it became a habit. I make my way downstairs thank fuck everyone has left, paying respects to the wonderful Brian Black. Yes that makes me Indigo Black, my Mom clearly had a sense of humour. I release the breath I was holding at the empty room when this huge tattoo covered man steps out from the kitchen

"Who the fuck are you?" I say before thinking, he smirks
"I'm your fucking cousin" he replies. Well I see the hot genes went to my moms sister and her son, damn. Incest, a game for all the family.
"So Indi, I was sent here to help figure things out for you. What do you want to do now orphan Annie?" He asks, that smirk still on his face, oh we have the same humour then
"First of all I hate Indi, so Annie or Indigo is fine. Second I want everyone to get the fuck out of my house so I can get on with my life, alone." I reply taking the beer from his hand and drinking it.
"Well Annie, that's where you're hittin' a wall. You can't live alone, you need 'supervision' so, either to pick some one to live with you or you get put in a home like Nana." He replies
"Ok, Nana is the best name you've given me yet and no. no, i inherited everything from bastard Brian, this is my house now, if everyone would leave me alone I'll be fine, you assholes meddling is what makes me worse." I reply. Peter steps out from the kitchen with Mother fucking Dr. Dickhead.
"Miss Black, Peter was concerned how you would deal with this transition, I'm only here to help support you."
"Oh fuck no" I shout and bolt for the stairs. I can hear them on my heals but I make it to the bathroom first and lock the door. This just isn't going to work. No, fucking, way. I open the cabinet and see all my dads pain pills and my shitty meds, I pick them up and take off the lid from my dads oxy's

"Miss Black, we can talk this through you don't need to do anything drastic. We can make a plan, you can have a new routine."
"Fuck you and your new routine." I shout before I start taking the pills.
"Orphan fucking Annie, open the door before I break it." My cousin shouts, the pills must be kicking in because I giggle as the wave hits me, I feel myself falling as the door shatters and I see my cousin, Peter and Dr.Dickhead rushing to me.

8 279The Ruined Monks of Rothfield Monastery
Erin is the youngest member of the dark monks; a supernatural brotherhood whose ultimate mission is to improve the dire circumstances of poor, war-torn villages using powers unique to each member. Or so he was led to believe. Erin, like his brothers, does not age, and that is, unfortunately, the only trait he shares with them. He cannot charm or compel like Woodrow, he cannot cast illusions like Knox, he was not swift like Swithin, not powerful like Blake. He was barely an assistant to his dear brother Wilbur, with his herbology and alchemy. He was told to lie low and make himself scarce. That is what he did. The dark monks temporarily reside in abandoned monasteries scattered around the country, feeding the poor and healing the sick, nurturing the monastic lands until it was fertile enough to raise crops and rear animals. As the years passed, they would leave these reformed, repopulated, self-sustaining monasteries and venture froth to help the next settlement. Yet, after years of toiling and quiet servitude, Erin notices that people and the country itself are declining. The villagers look gaunt, the once-lush soil now barren and cracked. He begins to feel disheartened, thinking that their mission is proving futile. Still, their leader Blake is steadfast and charges onward, and lately has his eyes set on a certain monastery in a thick, thorned forest that seems to diminish, even nullify their powers. A thick forest that Erin somehow has a connection to. A thorned glade where an ethereal voice calls his name with one simple request along with a promise:Heal the land, child. Heal the land and I promise to give you sanctuary so long as you stay. I promise to nurture you as you nurture me. As Erin cultivates the land, the land, in turn, gifts all its caretakers with new, enhanced skillsets on top of their unique powers -- skills of protection, healing, and magic. Magic. Erin had long wished to see the world fill with it again. The people, regardless of common or noble blood, still believe that magic will enter this world again. Magic to bless the king like it did the Saints. Magic to dispel the miasma befouling the world. Magic to bring back the fae folk and their many forms. It is up to Erin to forge the many paths leading to a bright future; to build a prosperous paradise that welcomes all races and bloodlines, by mastering the rewards gained through agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry, smithing, crafting, and fishing. Erin may also find a lifelong friendship and romance with his neighbor, Claude, if he decides to pursue him, and may even join him in the military campaign outside the monastery. The darkness still lurks outside, after all, and the mastery of his skills, along with a few good friends, may finally be enough to turn the tide in their favor. Most of all, Erin wants to keep the vow he set for himself: to protect everyone and everything he loves until his dying breath.
