《The Boy in Black》S I X T E E N

He wore the color black, but had the most colorful mind.
He thought of dark red, the color of blood that had spilled over the rocks beside the large oak tree that Gracie had fallen from.
He thought of black, the color of the belt that he tied around a dead blondes snapped neck.
He thought of green, the innocent color, for it reminded him of Mattie's eyes. The only innocence he had inside of him was of, and for Mattie.
He tapped his fingers on his desk, staring at the back of Mattie's head from where he sat just a couples seats behind her.
He admired the color of her hair and the way she curled it so it framed her face perfectly. And her lips, though he could not see them, he knew she was biting them as she attempted the test questions on her paper.
It's been a week, a week of pure hell for Jaxson, for it was without Mattie.
Ever since her mothers visit to his home, Mattie knew that she needed to stay away from the dangerous boy she loved. She knew that it had to stop, because if it didn't her mother would make sure that he would be rid of. And by that, she knew he would most likely be behind bars. Because even with a restraining order, Jaxson would continue to follow Mattie around like a lost puppy.
"Mattie," Jaxson hissed, ignoring the annoyed stares of students around him that were testing.
He saw as she looked up from her test paper, then back down to completely ignore Jaxson's attempts to speak with her.
She's been doing this all week, and Jaxson knew that, but it was becoming simply unbearable for him.
As he attempted to repeat her name, the ring of the school bell took over, and Mattie was quickly scrambling for her things and stuffing her pencil in her bag before slinging it over her shoulder.
He quickly stood up, watching her place her test paper on the teachers desk.
"Mattie," he called out, placing his hand on her shoulder.
She ignored him as she paced quickly down the hallway, clearly in a hurry.
"Mattie please," he almost whimpered, wanting desperately for her to feel sorry for him in hopes she would stop in her tracks.

"Jaxson." She turned around, and to his own surprise there was moisture surrounding her beautiful green eyes.
"You have to leave me alone, this is already hard as it is." She said, wiping a falling tear with her sleeve and ignoring his eye contact.
He attempted to place his palm on her cheek, craving contact with her skin. She turned away.
"Baby, hear me out-" he pleaded, stepping closer to her while she stepped back each time.
He ignored the actions and continued to speak: "You can't keep ignoring me like this, it's ridiculous Mattie. It's been a week." He hesitated to run a hand through his messy black hair, an action that had girls all around him swooning. "I thought you would only keep up this act for a few days-"
"An act?" She shook her head, shocked by his words.
"Jaxson this is serious, I shouldn't even be talking to you now."
Anger fueled inside of him, anger and the feeling of having your heart shatter all at once.
He couldn't lose Mattie, that was what his nightmares were of.
He cringed at the thought of being without the girl that he loved for so long, and finally had right in his fingertips until her mother showed up to his doorstep and demanded that he leave her daughter alone.
He knew as soon as she said it that he would most definitely not leave her alone, but was oblivious to the fact that Mattie was thinking something entirely opposite.
"You can sneak over, she won't ever know."
"You live directly next door Jax, she'll know."
He fought back a smile at the use of his old nickname, but as the remembrance of what their conversation was about sunk deeper into his skin, his smile faded.
Silence took over them, for Jaxson knew not of what to say any longer. He wanted to scream at her in anger, he wanted to pay a visit to her mother and change her mind with a good threat, but God, he thought, while looking into the eyes of Mattie Noelle it was almost impossible.
"You know I love you." She placed her small hand on his cheek, and he closed his eyes while leaning into her warmth.

"But with these circumstances, this is for your, and our own good. You don't know my mother but I do, and she will make sure I will never see you again If we keep this up. And I'd rather have you close than far Jaxson, even if we don't talk I want to know you're near and okay-" there were tears down her face at that point, right there next to the lockers.
Jaxson looked around at the few people staring as they walked past, and he quickly opened a storage closet that was close beside them before stepping inside with Mattie's hand in his.
The smell of bleach took over their senses, and though they were in the dark it didn't stop Jaxson from cupping Mattie's cheeks in his hands.
She didn't protest, but only weeped for what they had and how it was being thrown away.
She knew that she loved him, plus he was the one that took her virginity, so her innocence belonged to him and only him. Or at least, that's what she believed.
But the same questions remained: How could she just throw it away? How could she just toss what they had in the nearest garbage can by the hand of her mother? She knew not of how, but only knew that if she didn't steer clear of him, Jaxson wouldn't be around any longer.
"She can't take me away, Mattie. I'm here always," his fingers slid across her cheek, banishing her tears from her face. "I promise."
Her trembling hands attempted to find his waist in the dark, and as soon as he felt her touch, his lips were pressed against hers in seconds.
Passion filled the air, and the aroma of bleach no longer bothered them.
Her hands tangled in his hair, and she admired how soft it was and how much any other girl would kill to be in her place.
"Jaxson," she breathed against his lips, tugging harder at his hair as his hands squeezed her butt, growing more and more turned on by the second.
"My mothers waiting," she panted, feeling the sadness within her ignite again after his lips detached from her own, the fire slowly exterminating.
"Please don't," his forehead rested upon hers, and he craved not only her body, but her love and mind as well.
"This has to be the last time," Mattie whispered, holding back her tears before walking out of the heated supply closet, feeling the cool air hit her skin afterward.
"Mattie!" Jaxson called out to her as she walked away with reddened cheeked and a racing heart, away from the boy in black and everything that they had together. Every little memory gone and tucked away deep inside of her mind where she attempted to keep it for good.
She left the school nervously, for her mother was bound to be angry at her for being later than her expectations.
She still felt Jaxson's lips against hers and the warm feeling of his hands against her face and down her curvy body. She missed it even more as she walked away, as well as his deep voice that had her wanting him to say her name for hours upon hours.
She let out a relieved breath at the realization that her mother was running late, and quickly began wiping her sleeve against her cheeks to rid them of any excess tears that would give away that she was with Jaxson.
Finally after a few more minutes, her mother was pulling up to her school with a stressed look upon her face.
Mattie stepped in quickly and closed the door behind her, breathless and upset over the events that had taken place. She couldn't wait to get home and cry against her pillow.
"I'm sorry I was late, a darn train stopped me and started some traffic." She pleaded and rolled her eyes, putting her Prius in drive before beginning to pull away from the school.
Her heart sunk just then as she saw Jaxson behind the front doors that she had just exited from, seeing that his face read pure sadness from having Mattie grow loose from his fingertips that she was so tightly wrapped around.
"Were you waiting that whole time?" She asked after turning the radio down.
Mattie bit her lip, hoping to god that her voice wouldn't crack as she replied:
"Yes," she began, watching her beloved Jaxson disappear from the rear view mirror. "This whole time."
