With a sigh, Wendy shut her door and sat back in her chair. She had about fifteen minutes before her next patient came in, she used this time to process everything.
"What changed...?" she murmured to herself. Picking up a pen, Wendy tapped it on her lip lightly.
The ringing of her office phone snapped her out of her thoughts. She picked it up and put it to her ear, "Hello, this is Dr. W—"
"I know who you are. Let's skip the pleasantries, you're the therapist my son sees, correct?"
"I'm sorry, who is this?" She frowns and turns in her chair to face the window.
"Not important. Do you or do you not offer your services to Logan Carter?" His voice was gruff and cold as he spoke through the phone, Wendy tried to rack her brain as to who the mystery man may be but she came up blank.
"I'm sorry, sir, I'm not at liability to say. Is there anything else I can help you with?" She narrowed her eyes in confusion.
"Fine, I already know the answer anyways. I have some important information for you, you'll want to look at it and I hope you'll do the honorable thing. Look at your email, don't call this number back. I'll call you." The man hung up abruptly, leaving Wendy reeling in shock.
Her heartbeat picked up a the forceful request, she opened her laptop up and went to her emails and saw nothing. To be sure, she reloaded the page and froze as a new email showed.
Wendy definitely wasn't new to people like the man she had just spoke with, some of her past patients often reacted in an abrasive or violent manner. Though, it didn't make her any less anxious.
She quickly opened the message before she changed her mind and paused as she read it over.
The email was short, with only a video attached. It was obviously taken on a phone, the person holding the camera was tucked away behind a cracked door. Though they were clearly hiding, the angle the video was taken at was able to capture nearly the entire room.

It was a hospital room.
Wendy leaned in closer to the screen and gasped when she saw Yasmin's comatose form lying in the bed with Logan sitting across from her in a chair, his back facing the camera. For what felt like ages, nothing happened, only Logan sitting and staring at Yasmin.
Then, slowly, Yasmin began waking up. Logan sat up in his chair at her movement.
The video didn't have any sound, but it didn't need any to tell her that Logan was somewhat hostile in this video. As the minutes passed, she could see Yasmin tensing at his words.
Wendy looked at him warily as he pushed out of his chair and sat on the bed, she could see half of his face. Which confirmed any doubts that it was indeed him, the veins in his neck were prominent as he spoke to her. A black object was gripped tightly in his hand.
He held it up to Yasmin and Wendy recognized it as her iPhone. Yasmin said something which resulted in him pulling her phone closer to him. His head bent down, letting her know that he was looking through it. As he spoke again, most likely reading what he'd found, Yasmin's expression changed from wary to horrified.
Tears fell down her face as she spoke adamantly to Logan, the sight concerned Wendy greatly. The first thing she thought of was maybe Yasmin had an affair, though, she decided that wouldn't make sense. All of the sessions and the time they spent with each other would be all for nothing on her part.
Was it some misunderstanding; Logan found a message from a guy but it wasn't what it seemed? And that's why she seemed so afraid? The guessing didn't help much because there was no sound to the video and she couldn't see what was on the phone.
But how does that tie into her suicide attempt, her death, and the person that sent this video?
She bit at the end of her pen gently in wonder. In all her thinking, she had nearly missed when Logan suddenly stood up and shouted something at her, causing Yasmin to flinch and cry.
The site made her frown because any time she heard of their arguments, it was both of them doing the yelling or only Yasmin. It surprised her to see her so submissive towards him when in previous sessions, she had always been very prideful and even a bit controlling towards Logan.

The person holding the camera shifted a little so she could see even more of the two of them, as they moved, Logan picked up a pillow and walked to the other side of the bed. She could see his face now, the sight made her pause the video altogether.
He looked manic, scary even. His eyes were wide and wild, mouth curled into a snarl, Wendy shook her head in shock. "What is even happening?" She wished for nothing more than a little bit of context for what she was watching.
Within seconds, Logan snatched the pillow from behind her back and pressed it over her head. Wendy's mouth dropped open, her eyes wide as she watched. Yasmin's body thrashed about, clawing and kicking at him, though it didn't do any good.
Growing frustrated, Logan leaned over the bed and put his body weight onto her head, causing Yasmin to panic and struggle even more. Wendy lifted a hand to her face, feeling her eyes burn with tears.
It felt like hours but it happened within two minutes, her movements slowed until they came to an abrupt stop. Logan slowly stepped back, taking the pillow of her face.
The tears dropped from Wendy's eyes as she saw Yasmin's mouth agape, one of her eyes partially opened, and her assailant back away from her. Logan fell to the floor and tugged at his hair, staring in what looked like shock at his actions.
"This isn't real. This can't be real. Logan— he... he would never do this! I just spoke with him, for goodness sake," she pushed out of her and chair paced the floor in a panic.
"I'm a witness to a murder. A murder! What do I tell the police? Who-who even was the man that called me? How did he even know what happened!" Wendy couldn't move quick enough to her phone and dial the number that called her just minutes before. No one answered, she tried several times without luck and decided to just email them.
Calming her nerves with a few deep breaths, she began typing:
I was worried about him.
Okay, maybe worried is a strong word. I was... wary of him.
He was acting so different, each time he'd come over, he would put on this act. Maybe he was in shock over Yasmin, I don't know.
I tried to bring it up with Nick but he only said that he may have been grieving.
It would make sense, I suppose. But why is he trying to be so kind and cheerful? Yesterday he brought all of us dinner, I wanted to tell him no but I was actually hungry.
Today, he's offered to straighten up and clean the house. Nick and I gave him a funny look before declining his offer. Logan just gave us a grin and went back upstairs to the babies, but I could see him picking things up as he went.
My confusion was put on a slight pause when my phone rang. I checked it and read in surprise, "Mr. Carter?"
"Hello! Oh, please drop the formalities. Even though you're divorced from Logan, it doesn't mean we have to be formal with each other."
My eyes widened at his response, did Logan tell him? Or did he find out?
"I-uh—"
"Don't worry, Sarah, besides I've only called to run something by you. When you get a chance to be alone, I would like you to check your email. Listen very carefully, do not let anyone but yourself see it. Do you understand me?" I could hear the harshness in his voice as he asked the question.
"Yes, I... um, I understand."
"Good!" He abruptly hung up the phone and I stared at it, appalled.
I turned to the stairs Logan had just walked up and frowned.
What the hell is going on? Are they fighting or something? And why is he calling me, is this some shit about Logan?
If that's the case, he could've just told me over the phone.
I rolled my eyes and took my laptop to the guest bathroom, gaining an odd look from Nick, though he said nothing.
I shut the door and locked it just in case. I opened up my email and found one from an unknown sender without a subject title. I opened it up to see only a video.
"This is so stupid." With a sigh, I leaned back and clicked on it.
