《》The Ultimate Split Up (Part 1)

It's been three weeks since I had thoughts of how to tell Yasmin I no longer love her.

In all of that time, I've only had the courage to say it once and we were interrupted by a phone call. After that, the guilt was eating me up even more so I could never find a better time.

I also wanted to make sure that I told

Yasmin before Sarah's due date. That way, she'd be out of the picture for me and Sarah to start over again.

I've started to notice that the little shit she does bothers the hell out of me, maybe because I was so caught up in her, I never paid attention to it.

I stared at her from across the table, she was cutting into her steak while chewing. There were so many great things about Yasmin, when I think about it. She can cook, she's always neat and organized, she's amazing in bed, and she's funny when she's not angry or sad all of the time.

But when I thought of the things that once attracted me to Yasmin, I didn't feel that strong pull anymore. I felt nothing.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" I blink rapidly, clearing my thoughts.

"How am I looking at you, Yasmin?" I start cutting through my steak.

"Like I just kicked your fucking dog, you've been quiet all day." She finishes chewing to take a sip of her wine.

"I'm just thinking, am I not allowed to think around your anymore?"

"What kind of question is that? Seriously, what is your problem?" She crosses her arms over her chest, narrowing her eyes.

"You know what, you're right. Let me just get this out in the open because I can't take it anymore." I set my fork and knife down quickly.

She frowns and tries to speak again but I cut her off. "I'm done. I want out of this relationship or whatever the hell it is."

"Logan, w—" I shake my head, holding my hand up to stop her.

"No, you can't make me change my mind. I've been thinking about leaving you for a while now. I just needed an opportunity. You finally gave it to me." I stood up and picked up my plate, quickly eating any leftover pieces of food. "You make a mean steak, though."

I leaned on the countertop, watching her frozen figure.

"You know you promised me, right? And now that you're tired, you just throw me away? Is that your thing? Throwing women away when you get bored?" She said everything in a calm voice which unnerved me, Yasmin is always so quick to yell.

"Look, I—" she cuts me off by standing up and turning to me, but keeping her distance.

"No, you look, you think she's gonna want you back?" She stop stalking to laugh, but her eyes were cold. "She's happy without you, newsflash, Logan. She doesn't need you! If she did, why hasn't she been calling or texting, or begging you to come back. I bet that Italian man is making her scream his name right now!" She throws up her hands and smiles at me.

"Stop talking."

"Aw, does that hurt your feelings, sweetheart. I didn't know you even had feelings. It seems like you invented breaking up with women, you certainly didn't seem hurt before! Not when you were fucking me last night in this very kitchen!"

"I'm not going to argue with you! I'm fucking done!" I move past her and head upstairs to pack my things.

"Logan, I wouldn't walk out the door if I were you. You'll regret it." I ignore her and snatch my duffel bag out of her closet.

"Logan, I'm serious. I'll do whatever I need to make you stay, and I mean that." I roughly grab my clothes off

the hangers and toss them in the bag.

"I don't give a shit anymore, do what you want Yasmin." I go into the bathroom and get as much as I need for a few days.

"I'll kill myself if you leave, Logan. I swear to God, I will." I stop moving and turn to look at her.

"Like hell you will," I gritted the words out in anger.

"I will, you know I've had an attempt before. I doubt I'll fuck it up again. Walk out that door and find out." She stares at me with an impassive expression on her face, her hands fisted at her sides.

I swallow hard and look at my duffel bag, I shake my head with a smile. "I don't care anymore, make all the threats you want. I'm leaving." I zip up the bag and sidestep her to get downstairs. I grab my wallet, phone, and keys.

"Logan, I'm serious." I stop for a moment as I open the door.

"So am I." With that, I walk out of the door and slam it behind me.
