Words failed the barbarian to speak further because he sensitively sensed something of coldness right behind his back, right at somewhere quite embarrassing to him.

He took a glance at Song Qinghan incredulously. And just as he was about to give a way to the other side, Song Qinghan came to speak.

“Don’t move, or you can try to see if your blade is faster or mine, and die together without shame, after all, the way I die will be much more dignified than how you die.”

The barbarian had no idea about how long Song Qinghan’s knife was, but he couldn’t make it as a stake at all because that point was somehow sensitive…

Maybe he wouldn’t die with a poke on that, but the rest of his life would be ruined, and then it would be called worse than death.

He didn’t want to experience that feeling, so he decisively withdrew his hand and said with a gloomy expression, “Let go! I don’t want to be bothered to speak twice!”

With a calm face, Song Qinghan withdrew the scalpel from the man’s buttocks, deliberately exposing the light of the blade as he withdrew it so that the man could see the sharpness of the blade.

The extreme sharpness and thinness of the scalpel tip utterly shocked the barbarian. Well, if such a knife really poked through his butt, the ‘tail’ of his at the front side must be devastated as well. With that thought, he couldn’t help but sigh of relief, in a kind of peace in mind that he did not take any actions brutal.

Song Qinghan took a glance at the dying man on the ground, he paused and uttered, “If you want me to save him, then come to get me.”, and after that, he kept moving forward into the deeper space of the camp, rolling his eyeballs faster trying to find any trace of Wu Dahu.

The reason why he resorted to such a tactic was that he knew that the barbarians were not even afraid of death at all, so ordinary threats would not affect them. And probably on the contrary, with other means to respond, he would incur the barbarian’s inborn lust for blood, at that time he would get nothing but self destruction.

But as long as one is a humanity, he would definitely be afraid of losing face. This is the nature of humanity since there is a saying goes, “Man struggles to earn his dignity in life while vegetations earn their barks.”

Especially for the men, if their ‘tails’ were to be destroyed, the ridicule on them would be a fatal one.

But while the deterrent effect seemed good so far, there was no guarantee that the man wouldn’t get annoyed and come after him for troubles.

Therefore, he had to speed up accomplishing his goal here.

The footsteps under his feet grew wilder and wilder, while the frequency of his eyes rolled faster and faster. But why? Why couldn’t he find any traces of Wu Dahu within the camp?

Not even his hair could be found here!

Just like the leading servant once warned him, the penalties within the camp were kind of bizarre seemingly with thousands of methods ready to be used on the captives. Yet he knew that he could do nothing here even though he wanted to give a hand, so he just quickly withdrew his sight after taking a brief glance at the pitiful men.

Since Wu Dahu was not here, he should leave here as soon as possible.

Without having eye contact with those suffered people along the path, he walked outwards directly.

Those Qingmu people who acquainted him seemed to understand something when they saw him walking unhindered, the wrath overwhelmed them, and they roared hopelessly and angrily, “You such a fu*king traitor! No wonder you just brutally murdered your compatriot! You will definitely decay with no peace! Both you and your children I AM CURSING YOU!”

Song Qinghan took a sudden pause. Just before he was about to step out the camp, he turned to face the man who spoke aloud taking a glance at him while uttering in peace, “Mind your words, will you? You can curse me but not my family, save some virtue for yourself. No one will never know how the future will be, and as long as you’re still alive, you will always get a chance to beg for someone.”

He didn’t want to make it sound too harsh, after all, they had once met each other before when everything was still in peace. Yet he who tried to be hyper offensive did not deserve to be treated in peace at all. Even though they were at the same boat sharing the same fate and being loyal to the same country, he wasn’t a guy who would accept the fact with peaceful mind that his child was cursed that way at all.

However, his cryptic reminder did not earn the shouting man’s respect, and after the man came back to his senses, he cursed even harder, he shifted to verbally attack Little Shitou with the worst words in the world.

With the veins on forehead thumping hard, Song Qinghan clenched his fists with wrath in mind while at the same time trying his best to restrain the impatience. He came to pick up Little Shitou from the servant’s embrace, and then peacefully asked, “Can we leave now?”

The man gave him a thoughtful nod as he took a glance at him without any expressional changes on face and then led the way.

Before the two entering the Mork’s tent, the servant walked in solely while letting Song Qinghan wait outside.

Song Qinghan knew that the servant was going inside to report to Mork about his reaction, so he did not show an expression of impatience on face. Yet, far beyond control, his hand which was stroking Little Shitou was visibly shaking.

If Wu Dahu wasn’t here, then where should he be? Or did he really die on the battlefield without being discovered?

Or was he tortured to death by the barbarians? After all, the penalties inside the captive camp were not something ordinary people could withstand, and although those barbarians who processed it aimed to torture the captured men and made a great fun from it, they didn’t care about the severity at all. Probably they would just unconcernedly throw the bodies away if they eventually tortured those men to death.

The belly started to twitch again, and such a sudden pain stopped the wilder thoughts growing in Song Qinghan’s mind. He reached out to touch his belly, massaging slightly.

He thought that the time when he was about to deliver Little Shitou was the toughest time for him, after all, the conditions at that time were so hard, but he never expected that his second child would be born under such circumstances.

Life is truly unpredictable, isn’t it?

The servant soon came out, lifted the curtain of the tent and gestured for Song Qinghan to come inside.

Song Qinghan walked in calmly. Seeing that Mork was staring at him in a critical look, he took the initiative to utter, “I’m here for someone.”

Mork remained silent. He fixed his gaze at Little Shitou for a long while, and then came to answer abruptly, “I am not even interested on probing the intentions of yours being here. What I only request you to do is to prove to me the reasons why I should treat you uniquely here.”

“But of course,” he stretched his index finger and pointed at Little Shitou, adding with a faint smile, “If this little guy is here to beg for something, I might consider treat you uniquely.”

Little Stone looked at Moke for a while and turned to Song Qinghan, “Femi Daddy! He BAD!”

The crisp and childish voice echoed in the tiny tent, seemingly amplifying enough to be heard by people who stayed miles away. Even the guards outside the tent couldn’t help but peer inside out of curiosity.

Song Qinghan coughed lightly, stroked the back of Little Shitou’s head and muttered a few words quietly in his ear. After Little Shitou quieten down peacefully, he raised his head again and spoke to Mork who was currently showing a face in utter confusion, “Take no offense at a child’s babble, I hope you won’t be bothered by his childish words, Your Highness. Why don’t we continue our topic we just talked about?”

Moke was completely led by Song Qinghan’s words in mind. But soon he came back to his senses and realized that Song Qinghan just skipped the request he just mentioned, and the confusion on his face grew even deeper.

“Have you ever heard about small pox disease, Your Highness?”

Song Qinghan sounded calmly, glancing at Mork.

Mork did not bother to investigate further the rudeness of Song Qinghan as Song Qinghan just skipped his request, he just frowned and answered, “Of course I’ve heard it, the small pox is an incurable disease.”

Song Qinghan nodded as he discovered that this Mork guy had at least a basic knowledge on such a disease, he confidently found himself was getting closer to the success he might earn in the end. So he uttered in confidence, “I am able to cure the disease.”

After the confession, he came to added before Mork reacted, “Then do you know why I was assigned to be here in the front line?”

Mork frowned, and then asked subconsciously, “Why?”

Song Qinghan raised his head slightly fixing his gaze to the other side where nothing but void was shown in the sight, and then he sighed gloomily, answering, “Because those Imperial Doctors from the Imperial Hospital were all envious of me since I got such a power and prowess.”
