Wei Changfeng’s anxious tone made Qi Le’an feel sorry and then he quickly said, “Wei Sama! I’m fine!”

Wei Changfeng answered with pity, “Your voice sounds like this and you still say you are fine now? You don’t know how to take care of yourself. How can feel comfortable leaving you alone at home?”

Qi Le’an hastened to say, “It’s just an accident. You don’t have to rush back.”

He knew that if Wei Changfeng could come back, he would come back immediately. Since he hadn’t come back for so long, he must be held up by something important.

He was not too fragile to take care of himself when he was sick. Wei Changfeng was working outside and he must already be rather tired. Qi Le’an didn’t want Wei Changfeng to worry about him.

Besides, after sleeping for a while, he felt better now.

As David was driving, he was listening to the two of them haggling over the phone. Finally, he couldn’t help snatching the phone from Qi Le’an when the traffic light turned red.

Qi Le’an, who was still trying to persuade Wei Changfeng, was so speechless.

“I’ll send him to the hospital. When the diagnosis result comes out, if you feel that you need to come back, you just come back then.”

David’s words were concise and brief, which solved the problem easily.

Qi Le’an cast him a grateful gaze, but David didn’t look him in the eye and continued driving coldly.

Qi Le’an closed his eyes and leaned against the seat. He felt feeble and his whole body was aching. If he were not wearing a seat belt, he might have slipped down.

Finally, they reached the hospital. The doctor took Qi Le’an’s body temperature first and asked him to take a blood test. It took nearly two hours to confirm that Qi Le’an had a virus cold. He was asked if he wanted to be hospitalized.

However, the hospital they went to was near but not of a high standard. That made David worry that the doctors might make Qi Le’an’s situation even worse.

Qi Le’an still had a slight fever. The doctor who treated him didn’t give him any medicine and only let him drink more hot water.

“Would you like to be hospitalized?” David looked at Qi Le’an and asked.

Of course, Qi Le’an shook his head and said, “I’ll just have some medicine.”

David didn’t object. He picked up his phone and dialed the number, handed it to Qi Le’an, and then left.

Wei Changfeng picked it up almost instantly and asked, “How is it?”

Qi Le’an replied in grief, “Just a common cold. The doctor only asked me to drink more hot water… Wei Sama, I’m okay! I’m simply too tired from shooting and catching a cold, so I slept sound yesterday.”

Wei Changfeng was finally relieved but he still hesitated about going back or not.

It was true that he couldn’t leave the work here behind, but if he didn’t go back… He was really worried about Le’an being alone at home.

Wei Changfeng didn’t need to say anything before Qi Le’an could figure out what Wei Changfeng was thinking about. Then, he had an idea and said, “Wei Sama! Why don’t I take a few days off to visit you in New Zealand? Let’s spend Christmas together.”

This idea was wonderful. It remained unknown whether Wei Changfeng could come back for Christmas. Anyway, Qi Le’an was free now. If Wei Changfeng couldn’t make it back, Qi Le’an could go there instead!

Upon hearing that, Wei Changfeng said, “When are you coming? I’ll book you the ticket!”

Qi Le’an said, “Let me go home and check the calendar first!”

Wei Changfeng listened to Qi Le’an’s slightly spirited voice and then responded with a smile, “Okay, I will wait for you.”

After hanging up, Qi Le’an couldn’t help but sigh.

Although he told Wei Changfeng that he was fine, he still felt rather uncomfortable… He was dizzy and his throat was in pain. He might have a runny nose and sneeze tomorrow.

David came from afar with a cup of hot cocoa and handed it to Qi Le’an, asking, “Go home?”

Qi Le’an didn’t have much appetite or feel hungry. He had a stomachache. He took the hot cocoa and took a sip, saying with a nod, “Thank you.”

If it were not for David, he might not make it to the hospital alone.

With that thought, Qi Le’an stood up from the chair. Unexpectedly, he felt dizzy and staggered.

David hurriedly caught Qi Le’an and unfortunately, the hot coca spilled over his hand.

Qi Le’an stood still and saw what had just happened. He asked nervously, “Are you okay? Do I need to get you anything?”

David glanced at Qi Le’an and said, “Not okay.”

Qi Le’an had no idea what to say. David’s answer just caught him off guard.

“Then how about putting your hand under the running water?” Qi Le’an suggested.

The bathroom happened to be not too far away from them. David ignored Qi Le’an and walked in. Qi Le’an quickly followed into the bathroom and saw David putting the back of his hand under the tap. The part which was in the running water was already red.

Qi Le’an felt a little sorry. David came to help him out of kindness, but he accidentally got David’s hand burnt.

David just kept his hand in the running water for a while and said, “Let’s go.”

The person who made a mistake didn’t dare to say anything. He just followed David out of the hospital carefully. When the two got into the car, Qi Le’an couldn’t help but ask, “How do you feel?”

David focused on driving as if he hadn’t heard what Qi Le’an said.

Qi Le’an felt awkward and thought that this person was really difficult to get along with.

Therefore, he closed his eyes and thought that he would go to the Chinese pharmacy to buy some medicine, and then buy some porridge at the porridge shop.

He felt a little nauseous. He knew that it was a physiological reaction to not eating for too long, so he had to force himself to eat something.

The car stopped steadily and Qi Le’an was wondering why they would arrive so soon. He opened his eyes and found David stopping the car in Chinatown.

Where the car stopped, there happened to be a porridge shop.

David looked at the message on his phone and said to Qi Le’an, “Wait here.”

Then he got out of the car himself.

Five minutes later, he came back with a serve of warm porridge and a bag of medicine.

“Fynn asked me to do this,” David explained casually.

Qi Le’an felt that although this man was difficult to get along with, he was quite nice.

David drove Qi Le’an home and left. Qi Le’an took two sips of porridge before finding his phone on the floor. His phone had long been switched off, so he took a USB cable from his suitcase and put his phone on charge. When he turned it on, he found that Wei Changfeng had made countless calls and sent countless texts to him.

Qi Le’an replied to Wei Changfeng while drinking porridge, “Wei Sama, don’t worry. I’m already home.”

It was two o’clock in the afternoon and it should be six o’clock in the morning in New Zealand. Wei Changfeng must have been up all night.

Qi Le’an missed Wei Changfeng so much that he wanted to rush to New Zealand right now. However, he knew that he could only make Wei Changfeng worried even if he rushed there. He must be a bit more patient and when he got well, he would go to find his lover.

The phone rang and Wei Changfeng made a video call. Qi Le’an flicked his hair and adjusted the angle before answering the call.

Wei Changfeng on the phone looked messy as expected. Qi Le’an smiled and greeted, “Wei Sama.”

They hadn’t seen each other for a few days. Even Wei Changfeng in the video still looked so fascinating to Qi Le’an.

Wei Changfeng said with pity, “You’ve got thinner.”

Qi Le’an laughed, “How can I lose weight so fast? Even if it is true, it must be due to the acting work.”

Wei Changfeng shook his head disapprovingly.

Qi Le’an aimed the camera at his porridge and said, “I am eating now.” Then he aimed the camera at the bag of medicine, “I will also take medicine on time. Wei Sama, don’t worry, I will take good care of myself.”

Wei Changfeng sighed and said, “You don’t need me to go back?”

Qi Le’an hurriedly said, “No need. I’ll go to meet you in a few days! You must have been up last night, right? When are you starting work in the morning? Do you want to rest for a while?

Wei Changfeng said, “It rained a bit in the early morning yesterday, so the shooting today will be probably postponed. I don’t want to go to sleep. I want to see you more.”

Qi Le’an felt his throat tighten and he almost cried.

He also wanted to see Wei Sama more.

The two of them were on the video call. Qi Le’an was having porridge while listening to Wei Changfeng talking about the things to be noticed during sickness. As he talked, Wei Changfeng was still worried and wanted to fly back and find Qi Le’an immediately.

Finally, Wei Changfeng had to hang up as he needed to start working. Before he hung up, he told Qi Le’an, “Don’t mute your phone. Don’t let me lose your contact again.”

Qi Le’an promised, “Don’t worry, Wei Sama.”

After hanging up, Qi Le’an checked the calendar and realized that he had slept for more than thirty hours.

No wonder Wei Sama got crazily anxious…

He boiled some water for himself, washed his face, took the medicine with the hot water. He still felt a little dizzy, so he returned to his bed.

While he was sleeping, Wei Changfeng probably asked everyone he could turn to for help. Many people sent messages to express their care for Qi Le’an. He replied to the message one by one in the quilt. After replying to the messages, he sent Wei Changfeng a message saying that he would sleep for a while. Then, he closed his eyes.

After sleeping for a few hours, Qi Le’an was woken up by the alarm to remind him of taking medicine. He didn’t feel dizzy now but his throat hurt so much.

He took his medicine and continued to drink hot water. He didn’t want to move at all and just stayed in the quilt, checking the air ticket to New Zealand.

New Zealand was too far away and it would take twenty hours to fly there. He did not know when he would recover from the illness. Anyway, he must try not to meet Wei Sama with a sick look…

After spending a while on the phone, he was sleepy, but he didn’t sleep well. He kept thinking about Wei Changfeng when he was half-sleeping. After sleeping for some time, Qi Le’an suddenly woke up from his bed. When he looked at his phone, he found he only slept for an hour or so.

Qi Le’an felt he must do something. He got up from the bed and wrapped himself in thick pajamas. Then, he opened the window of the bedroom for ventilation and went to the bathroom to clean up the mess. After he finished the chores, he sweated a lot, feeling so much better now.

It was really bad to be sick. He missed Wei Sama so much.

The doorbell suddenly rang. Qi Le’an opened the door and found that it was the delivery boy.

“Here is your meal,” the delivery boy said, “Please take it.”

There were many portions of food in the thermal bag. Qi Le’an looked at the delivery ticket and the order was placed by a man called Fynn.

Qi Le’an put the hot meal on the coffee table. Wei Changfeng ordered a lot of food. There were porridge, rice, some fresh dishes, and some yummy ginseng soup. He took photos of the food and sent them to Wei Changfeng.

Wei Changfeng quickly replied, “Even if you don’t have an appetite, you still need to eat something anyway. Only when you are full will you have the strength to fight with the sickness.”

Qi Le’an couldn’t help but feel that he had an appetite now.

He must eat now. Only when he ate enough could he get well. When he recovered from the sickness, he could go to find Wei Sama then.
